The Cinnabon are stale. The Cinnabon should be replace with fresh rolls daily. I purchased a six pack and was so excited to get home and have one only to find them hard and dry. I’m so disappointed.

I’ve probably driven by this place a hundred times, but there are so many food choices in the area I never gave them a second thought. Finally ML& I were hungry after leaving Barnes & Noble and it was right in front of us so we gave it a shot. Good call. The first thing I noticed was the staff. The manager was at the counter and was knowledgeable and friendly and answered all of ML’s questions about gluten, garlic, and all the other things she’s allergic to. They have a huge amount of gluten free food and are more than happy to change foods to accommodate people’s food sensitivities. They also have a pretty varied menu, with pasta dishes and pizzas as well as sandwiches, salads and soups. She had the half & half soup & sandwich, a ham & cheese & tomato bisque. I had the pastrami on a pretzel roll. Both were very good. Good enough that I’d absolutely get mine again and she would absolutely get hers. The breads were delicious and bakery fresh. This Schlotzky’s has a TCBY and a Cinnabon inside it and although we didn’t try them lots of others did and clearly enjoyed them both. The only thing that keeps them from getting 5 stars is that it was tough to find a table that wasn’t filled with the remains of previous diners. It was right after the lunch rush and there was a worker cleaning tables so I’ll assume they do keep on it and we just hit it wrong. I tend to believe this since everybody seemed genuinely happy to be there and all hands were clearly working hard to keep the flow moving. So now I know. I like Schlotzky’s. You probably will too.

I come here quite often and today was a bad experience. For 1 the guy named Kyle running the front of house is very rude. Seems like he is having a bad day. Even my children noticed he had an attitude. 2ndly he never asked if we wanted a drink. I had to go back after we sat down to get drinks for my children. I asked him if the drinks were included in the meal and he said no, very abruptly. Now why does he think we’re going to eat here with no drink. Really? I’m very appalled at his attitude and his approach.

Thank you, Manager on duty, for correcting the drive thru employee when he told the deaf customer, who handed him her order at the window, she had to go around. Hopefully employees will get training on ADA and sensitivity.

The Schlotzsky’s on Brodie is always clean and VERY friendly. It’s a very busy location so sometimes they run out of tea but they are quick to respond. I was sad they stopped making regular breakfast tacos and replaced with breakfast sandwiches and a breakfast burrito they call Breakfast Omelette. It was good but they’re breakfast tacos were the best in Austin… surprisingly. The Breakfast Omelette was a bit hard to handle.

Today was my first time going to any Schlotsky’s and my last, i went in around 3:40. A guy around 20 years old took my order and it took 5 repeats for him to get down that I wanted the italiono. Its a under specialty sandwich. I legit had to say, «the italiano, its the first sandwich under specialty sandwiches.» He even walked under the sign and pointed to it. After 10 min of waiting I got this salad, so I went to the register. A woman who I assumed was a manager in her late 20s helped me, didn’t even give me a $ difference I asked if there was one, which I know she should have because I later checked the menu. So i wanted another 10 min for her to bring it out. Neither of these people were apologetic or even friendly, and I feel like I got ripped off. NEVER going to Schotsky’s again.

I’ve been going to this Schlotzky’s for lunch for years, and it’s always been fast, fresh, with reasonable prices. I’m not sure what changed recently, but the price of a Medium Combo is now over $ 10! Also, the last sandwich I got, the bread was cold, and seemed like it wasn’t as fresh as I’ve had before. I don’t know if this is temporary or not… but I’ll likely be looking for alternatives now…

I think Schlotzky’s is great at their sandwiches. I have had some really good ones in previous visits and would almost give this place 4 stars if it hadn’t of been for my most recent visit. For some reason I chose to order a personal pizza. I tend to have pizza cravings and this was one of those moments. The pizza was ok. That was it. Nothing special. There was hardly any sauce on it. It was almost like eating cheese bread with pepperoni. So next time I will skip the pizza and stick to the sandwich. I do like their bread here. Next time when I get a sandwich perhaps I will update my review and maybe they will get the fourth star. I think during the summer they have a sandwich that has pineapple on it … I will be looking for that at some point!

This location has excellent service, a nice outdoor areas with tables and chairs, and even table and couches. They are pet friendly and have space to accommodate outside. With TCBY and Cinnabun, they have a great selection of menu items. Love the pizza, and of course The Original!

I love this place. As far as the sandwiches go, I always get the small smoked turkey. The jalapeño chips are my fave. I do like the addition of the salads as well. I smoked turkey salad is really good and I like that they have a pick 2 option. The cinnamon buns smell great but I try to not eat them. I do like that they have added a healthier option with TCBY. I have always had great service and never any problems. I love this place as a lighter food option when running errands in those shopping centers.

Love the sandwich. Never had a bad experience and we go often enough. My only complaint: wished they didn’t use styrofoam cups.

Two vegetarian options, friendly staff. I was shocked to see how this location has changed to add TCBY and Cinnabon. Impressed by the cleanliness – I saw staff sweeping and even detailing table pedestals. Sandwiches were good, particularly the bread. Pickles are very good. Wish they had veggie protein though, maybe a patty, Tofurkey, or boiled eggs. Very reasonable prices, two medium sandwiches totaled less than $ 11! On leaving I saw a great outdoor seating area, shaded and with fans. I’m super impressed.

This place is always good. I usually get a large, that will feed 2 hungry people. Always remember to get the cinnamon rolls. Great sugar high.

It was lunchtime and decided to eat here for I have not visited this place inquire a while. It was a little busy, but the kind to order was rather quick. I decide to get a Turkey & Bacon Club with chips. I sat down and started to catch up on my social media sites and soon my food was delivered to my table. It was very good and tasted the way I had remember it. Upon leaving I decided to get some cinnamon rolls since they are also a Cinnabon store. After getting home I warmed up one of them and it tasted not very good. It seems like it was either old or not cooked thoroughly where is was a bit rubbery. Sandwiches are good but may need to lose the cinnamon rolls.

I agree with Amanda M! I LOVE the food here. I have always had friendly service, and cannot remember ever having an order messed up in the drive-thru. «The Original» sandwich is still my favorite(ever since childhood). AND — BTW… have you tried the breakfast tacos? They are simple and quite frankly delicious. The absolute BEST part is their made from scratch salsa. I would buy it by the gallon if they sold it.

If you don’t like Schlotzsky’s you’re stupid. Ok ok ok I take it back, kind of. I just got sad that this place only has 3 stars, because it’s so awesome! I usually go to the location off of Lamar, but I haven’t been there in a couple years. Last time I was here they only had two pizza options– cheese or pepperoni. I walked in the other day and there were like a gazillion options!!! WHAWHA!!! Have I been living under a stupid rock or something? yes please. I know it seems silly to order pizza here, but it’s heavenly pizza, you can’t even really call it pizza, you should call it Schlotzsky’s Pizza because it’s so different and incredible. Mikita– you know what you’re talking about– yes pizza!!! I ordered the pesto chicken pizza and it was $ 5!!! It was so good. I’m getting a little too excited talking about it. Bf had chicken cordon bleu and loved it. Yeah, their bread packs the calories, but if you get a small and want to be healthy, it’s pretty easy to do so. Dijon chicken, grilled chicken breast, chicken and pesto, and chipotle grilled chicken sandwiches(small) have between 300 – 400 calories.

Sandwiches, they can’t seem to mess up, but what the heck is wrong with their morning taco crew? I order 6 tacos every so often, and now, the girl that messes everything up isn’t there, there’s someone new to replace her incompetence. I order 6 tacos, really simple, just potato, they were all the same. I get: 2 tacos the way I ordered, 3 with cheese, and 1 more with cheese and egg. I know what happened, most likely these ass hats just grabbed what was there, not caring. This is the last time I visit this establishment without opening every single, gosh darn taco, and then giving them a piece of my mind for messing up such a simple order. Really, how incompetent of a human being do you have to be to consistently be so bad at serving such a very simple order? SO frustrating as this place is on my way, and now I’ve got to find a new place to grab tacos on the go. Oh well, they lost my business, and I was going here like every other week. The one star is earned with their sandwiches and chips. They’ve not messed those up, but I also eat those very rarely, so who knows, if I started eating that every other week, maybe they’d find a way…

There is really no surprises at Schlotzsky’s when it comes to the menu and the quality of food. It stays pretty uniform at all times. Although I really with they would make the bacon beefy smoked cheesy sandwich a permanent menu item. I only decided to write a review for this location because of the service I received. The counter staff is always friendly. The dining room and bathroom are always clean. They even take the time to ask if you want the complimentary pickle and when they bring your food to the table to see if you want some of there hot sauce. The hot sauce is not hot by any stretch of the imagination but it adds a good flavor, especially to the turkey bacon club.

My wife and I walked into the Schlotzskys on South Congress in the spring of 1976. Back then when you had a 45 minute lunch you spent 30 of it waiting for your made from scratch sandwich come out of the oven and you’d wolf it down on the way back to work while listening to Sammy Hagger sing«I can’t drive 55»… FASTFORWARD to today. I LOVE this location because of the genuine WELCOME and many times a free pickle slice if you wink at the cashier. The tables are wiped down(a major pet peeve of mine is sticky tables) and the place is swept up too. The manager came by to ask how they were doing today. Ever been to a cool restaurant and the men’s room smells like a boys high school gym locker and ruins the experience? Well, you WON’T find that here, it’s as clean as Jason«Mr. 512“s virtue. All in all we go out of my way to eat at THIS location for the great food and remember the good olé days when hippies smoked in the restaurant and women happily breast fed their babies right next to you.
