I always enjoyed ProSkate, not so much at their previous location, but their new location is great. Located right next to Boulder Valley Ice, Superior Liquor and Old Chicago(the beer, pizza and ice hockey trifecta). This is the place I will go to get my skates sharpened, however I agree with the previous commenter if you can get one of the owners to do the sharpening you can’t lose. Nice little selection of equipment for the location and I have purchased gloves and skates there in the past without issue. They also carry my favorite tape — the Jaybird brand. Great little hockey shop and great location.

I have been a Pro Skate customer for quite a few years and they are where I normally get my skates sharpened. They recently moved and the place is a lot smaller than the old store. The owner is really nice and he even gave our son a signed Av’s mini helmet once. It now sits on his dresser. The sharpenings go from very good to okay depending on who does it. The owner does a great sharpening. If you can get him to do it, do it. They don’t have a ton of gear anymore so for gear it’s a toss up, but if it’s the closest hockey shop to you, then it’s not bad.
