Law Jonathan Fine Art Framing

I finished a piece of embroidery for a friend later than planned, and I had to get it framed while at the beach for a week before I saw her. I called some places in the area to feel them out, and I’m so glad I went with Jonathan Law. He did an incredible job. At first, he wasn’t sure he would be able to order a frame and have it in time to fit with my limited schedule, so after talking over options, I decided to just have it matted. Jonathan recommended some colors for the matting that were completely perfect for the piece. He called me the next day to say he had thought of a frame that was already in his shop that would work. I couldn’t make it in to see what he had in mind, so I just told him to go for it. He was totally right on, the frame looked absolutely perfect with the sampler. It looked really beautiful when I picked it up; the matting was perfect, he had stretched out any wrinkles in the fabric and covered it with museum glass.
Jonathan really has an eye for this work. I wish his shop was in DC, though I know he does do work outside of the area and will ship things. If you are in the area and need to have anything framed, definitely check him out. I can’t recommend him enough.
