I walk in to get a bite before work and wasn’t greeted or anything. I let that slide because maybe he forgot, who knows. I take a look at the menu and still nobody says anything to me. I’m the only one there on top of it all. I put down the menu and am waiting for the man to take my order. I waited ten minutes and after making eye contact with the guy a couple times, I smiled and walked away. WORSTSERVICEEVER.

I noticed this place while at the USPS across the street and thought I’d give it a shot. When I walked in, there was nobody inside. That was my first impression. I really should’ve known better, too. After looking over the entire menu and standing around for nearly 10 minutes, I began to shout«Hello». Nobody replied. I noticed a door going through the wall and into the Pizza/Sushi place(yes, seriously) next door and walked in to ask if anyone was working or not. An employee apologized and said the employee next door was on a cigarette break, but that he would be able to help me. 10-minute cigarette break? Huh? What kind of cigarettes are those?!? So I did as I normally do whenever trying something new: I asked for recommendations. He had none. He said he had only tried 2 dishes and liked them both, but would not go into detail or even offer his opinion as to which he liked better. Seeing I was going nowhere fast, I decided on the Chicken Schnitzel Pita and waited. Then I waited some more. Then, after waiting a little bit more, I waited some more. Finally, I got my pita. And it was pretty tasty, too(the reason for the extra star). Not the best I’ve ever had, but something I would consider getting occasionally — if it were convenient, quick, and inexpensive. But it was none of those. The pita cost me $ 10 and came with nothing else. I wasn’t even asked if I wanted a drink or a cup of water. I was left to lament on the poor choice I had made by walking into the doors adorned with Hebrew letters I will never understand. Who knows? Maybe they’re just going through growing pains and they can improve, but it’s likely that the owner and employees have no business opening up a restaurant and it will be closed within a few months. NOTE: when paying, I noticed I was charged 9% for sales tax. I asked the employee why I was charged 9% and I was told that was the sales tax in Surfside. I ended up going to Publix right after to verify if it was so, but only got charged 7% there — like I do in every place, everywhere in Miami-Dade county.
