Kaylyn Benoit is such a talented hairdresser. My hair is fine and thin but she gave me a haircut that I just love. She takes the time to determine what you like and need in a hairstyle so I felt very confident in her suggestions. Basically she just gave me a wonderful update on my current hairstyle, which I was so overdue for, so I was so glad to find Kaylyn.

I have been looking for a good stylist to cut my long, curly, frizzy hair. I tried so many places coming out unhappy. My hair was to my waist and in need of a trim. I was tired of going into a salon and my hair coming out looking worse. Anyways, I found Beautiful by default, though it only had a couple reviews and the one by S G sold me. I made an appointment with Carolina. I have found my new stylist. She was amazing. I went in wanting to cut off all my hair and just getting it back to healthy. I went from waist length to above my shoulders and I am love with my new hair. She nows how to cut curly hair and knows what looks good. I have nothing but good things to say.

i have been going to erin for 6+ years! I will never allow anyone else to touch my hair again! Erin has impeccable color skills and has an amazing eye for cutting your hair for your face shape. I have had her cut my hair from a bob to a pixie and always love they way it turns out! Erin always make you feel comfortable when you are in her chair! Even after moving 2 ½ hours away, i still make the drive to come see her. Erin is by far the best hair stylist in the valley!

I found Beautiful by Default after Googling curly hair stylists in Surprise. There weren’t many options in the area to choose from, but the testimonials on their website looked promising. I was ready to pull a Britney on my long curly hair when I messaged stylist Carolina. She responded in just a few minutes and I booked an appointment soon after.
Just call Carolina The Curl Whisperer – I couldn’t be happier with my new shorter, low maintenance style. She took the time to evaluate my hair and talk with me about what I wanted and how to best achieve the look. She’s very efficient but doesn’t rush and she communicated with me about what she was doing with my hair and why. She also told me how to achieve the look at home and I’m happy to report that my hair looks just as good today as it did right after she styled it.
The salon is a small space within Modal Salon Suites. I found the environment relaxing and with just two stylists working, it was easy to talk and be heard. Prices are very reasonable and I enjoyed the convenience of booking appointments online and receiving receipts and other messages via text.
