This plumbing service was excellent and quick. I had a plumbing issue right before the Thanksgiving holiday and was leaving out of town for a few days and they came and capped the pipes and then came back when I was back in town to finish the job and credited most of the services done to cap the pipes with the job completion. I will call them for any other service I need in the future.

After a lot of company one of my toilets was solidly plugged and I wasn’t able to clear it with a plunger or any of the other internet tricks. The water wasn’t clearing at all except to come up in the shower. I spent a couple of hours reading reviews on different plumbers and chose to call Before and After Plumbing. I usually look for someone with many reviews but I liked the three they had and the reviewers seemed competent when I researched them and I liked what they had to say. I liked that the owner used his face instead of a logo to represent his company. I also liked that he is a small business owner and I prefer to support small business and someone on the west side. When I called he told me they do not charge to come out to estimate a job but he, from the description of the job, gave me a range of $ 370 to $ 500 on the phone. Richard arrived the next morning, in the middle of the two hour window. He was pleasant and easy to talk to but also has over 30 years of experience as a plumber. He was neat and organized and explained what he was doing each step of the way and what he was looking for. He also gave me an easy trade tip about root prevention, which I appreciated. At the end of the job the toilet was back on and caulked, and the bathroom was put back together like he found it. While discussing the job he gave me another trade tip on cast iron pipes and low flush toilets. He then checked another toilet in our house that came up in our discussion about low flush toilets. He tweaked a line in the toilet and replaced the flapper, he said it was sticking but I didn’t notice it until after he replaced it and it was working smoothly. To finish up, the bill came to $ 374.80, which is the low end of what they had quoted. It comes with a 120 day warranty that includes one free cleaning if necessary. There was no charge for the extra time and the part for the second toilet. According to Richard it is just the owner and himself. He loves working for the owner and says he is «a stickler for honesty». I certainly feel confident giving their name to anyone who is in need of a plumber.

On a Saturday afternoon at 2:30 pm. Got a call about water mysteriously coming from a wall at our office. That’s right – SATAFTERNOON! No problem for these guys. We called and they promptly responded and met someone at the office. They had to cut through drywall snd found a pinhole size leak. What a great job. They even got the drywall and were able to tape it back into place so there was no hole in the wall for patients to see. Price was very reasonable.(especially with March Madness going on)

Knowledgeable, on time, received a call back on a Sunday from Ryan to schedule for monday morning. Ryan was there when he said he would be, assessed the situation, told me what needed to be done, wrote a free estimate which I think is great.

I was in need of plumbing services for problems stemming from the hot water tank. Ryan came in and determined that the tank needed a new termal coupler and burner unit as the gas was not staying lit to heat the tank. A.O. Smith(tank manufacturers) sent a new one out the next day as we paid for overnight delivery as Ryan did not have any luck finding a new unit from the city suppliers. We got the new unit and it still did not fire up to heat water. Ryan once again called A.O. Smith and they ran him raged troubleshooting the water heater problems. After much argueing with the manufacturer he requested they send out a new thermal coupler and heater valve assembly. We received that one and behold, it worked. It seems the first one they sent out was also defective. Ryan worked diligently even though he had to work much longer than it should have taken. The problem was the repair parts the manufacturer sent us. This guy will keep on working throught the problem no matter how long it takes to satisfy his clients. I highly recommend this plumber to anyone who needs services. You rock, Ryan!
