If you’re coming to Amador County on 49 and haven’t been here for a while, or maybe even never (horrible thought), you would do well to veer a couple of blocks off the highway and visit this location, which unfortunately you will not pass or be able to see from any busy street, but it’s very close and worth visiting for the many brochures you can get there along with advice and information, and a clean restroom. It’s our visitors center, unfortunately just a little (teensy, weensy bit) off of the beaten path, but better there than nowhere.
