After reviewing their website and qualifications, I ordered a replacement rifle butt stock and forearm from them for a Model 1941 Johnson automatic rifle. I knew ahead of time that the replacement stock would be challenging and I therefore went to great lengths to furnish vintage cut-away drawings and color photos with text & leaders drawing attention to key areas and challenges. One issue was the stock required square(mortised holes) for insertion of square pin locking lugs. I very specifically asked in writing if he could duplicate the mortised holes and I was assured that there would be no problem. When I received the duplicated stock it looked outstanding at first glance and then I noticed to my utter disbelief, that there were no mortised holes, just large cylindrical dimples where the mortises would go. When I sent an e-mail to enquire about that serious shortcoming never got a response. I then did a lot of research and purchased a mortising tool set and purchased a drill press bench for jigging the stock-up for about $ 150.00. Just as I was going to start machining out the mortises, I realized that the hole in the stock for the buffer tube was drilled at entirely the wrong angle and the dimples for the mortises were at that point totally out of alignment and useless. Beyond that, the deep dimples ruined the stock. I would have needed to glue in large dowels and re-locate the dimples. There were other issues of note including undercut areas. Undercutting at the butt-plate interface was another un-repairable show stopper. When I politely notified Mr. Jimerson in writing about these issues and how devastated I was, all I got was complete«radio» silence. I had prepaid $ 400.0 for what is essentially firewood. I since ordered a replacement stock from another firm and it was perfect«out of the box». Don’t ask this guy for anything challenging as he doesn’t know how to say no and he forgets to respond to people that prepay his bills once the bills are paid. I also wasted about 8 hours of fitment time before discovering how totally screwed I was. If I am lucky I will be able to make some pistol grips out of the stock.
