This place was very clean. Nice ambiance too. We ordered the papdi chat which was fresh ad tasty. Could have used a few more tomatoes ad spice. We also got the kadi paneer. Paneer was soft and fresh as was te naan

Service is decent but food was not good, I am referring to lunch buffet. Please don’t be fooled by 4 star reviews, I really did not like it.

Definitely not a place for vegetarians. The food was below average. We ordered dal Bukhara, shahi paneer and miced vegetables. the only best part of the evening was fresh naans . Pls don’t get fooled by the ratings.

Food buffet — OK, $$/4 price wise, service was good, owner was friendly and made a point to inquire with us. Décor is a little dark and could use a refresh. Went twice for lunch and it was ok steady business for them. Some of the buffet was hot and some items were lukewarm. Had some fried things which we didn’t like too much(heavy greasy and it was hard to distinguish what it was after awhile. we mostly stuck with tandoori chicken, vindaloo, lamb biryani, spinach sauce with cheese cubes(can’t remember the name right now) and the basmati rice. All that stuff tasted good. Had the mango lasse and the dessert ball drenched in some sort of sugary syrup was delish as well as the rice pudding type dish. Yum Would RECOMMEND and would come back for Lunch again.

Based on previous reviews in Unilocal,I assumed this too be decent enough to have a nice indian meal, but its a hyped up restaurant with below average food quality and over exaggerated prices, probably highest for such bad food in alpharetta. The lady at the restaurant is too arrogant and should be taught customer service or they will start loosing business soon. We ordered A la carte of panner tikka masala, dal makhani etc and when we informed her that the food was not good, she replies that you should leave the food and leave in that case. I want to save your time and money by recommending you to try some place else for atleast a decent indian cuisine rather than waste your palate here.

We like ordering from this place on Sundays. Love the garlic na’an and meat samosas tons. We always order chicken tikka masala because it’s our favorite and it is good. I wish it were a little less bitter but overall it is tasty food on the pricey side. The last time we ordered out it was $ 39.00 for two meat samomas, two orders of chicken tikka masala, and garlic na’an. That seems a little pricey to me but it is what it is. Overall for taste and the service received, I give this establishment four stars.

Even im surprised how this place manged to get good reviews. I have been to this place twice till now for lunch buffet and for the price they serve decent varieties. But the quality is mediocre, both the veg and non veg appetizer’s are cold and mix veg curry was bland. The only good dishes are chicken and goat curry. Last but not least desert was ok. Like someone mentioned I would go to Madras Chettinad which is few miles away and is lot better.

We love the food and the staff. They make us feel so welcome. They remember our ‘usual’ orders.

Of all the lunch buffets, I enjoyed the curry here especially! The food well seasoned with the«Umph» kick out of them. Even the tomato soup was well balanced in taste. The service here is also very well attended. The server pays pretty good attention to the customers. I’m very impressed! The décor in this location is similar to any Indian dining places with the table cloth, silver wares, & tall heavy glasses. But, that’s to be expected. Price for lunch buffet is pretty reasonable for the weekdays of $ 7.99. It’s $ 10.99 for the weekends.

We stopped by accidentally, I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, these guys are super nice and extremely friendly. The crowed felt like more regular than random shopper like myself. Vegetarian items were great, chicken tikka masala and naaan were very amazing.

We have been here many times, usually as takeout… but I felt like I had to post a review today. We called the place our usual order, chicken tikka masala, which is amazing, and although they answered the phone the lady informed me that they were closed. I said OK, but then she went on to further inquire what we wanted and said that they could still prepare our order. Now that’s good customer service. Also they can customize any dish for you according to the spice you like.(my husband likes spicy, I do not) It is a little more pricey than normal Pakistani/Indian restaurants but it’s worth it.

I’m vegan. I travel frequently for work and I’m often limited to salad or trail mix. It’s rare that I can visit a restaurant and have much from the menu. To my delight, Bukhara not only has many vegan options — they also make substitutions so I can enjoy the specials! I get the veg thali — it is delicious and tastes like home cooking. I have also gone to the lunch buffet. It’s actually two buffets — one veg and one nonveg. The veg buffet is about 2⁄3 vegan so I can stuff myself at lunch too. It’s worth noting(for the omni readers of this review) that Bukhara keeps their meat buffet stocked with many chicken, lamb, and goat dishes. All those choices for $ 7.99 is insane. Vegan or not, this place is a bounty. You really should try it out.

The flavors are pretty savory. Each mouthful was a flavorsome journey into the Indian culture. I ate way too much and enjoyed every minute of it. The service was solid and friendly. I really enjoyed the sauces here. I do wish there were a few more options. The vegetarian food was not as popular as the the meat curries so you had to wait a bit to get it fresh. The naan while tasty had too much oil on it in my opinion. Would I come back? Definitely.

As a white American, I’m not entirely sure sometimes what great Indian food is, which is why I typically stick with the Americanized dishes like Chiken Tikka Masala, veggie samosa and garlic naan. I’ve been to many Indian restaurants around, some good, some blah and some not so good. I base my review on service and consistently fresh food. I’ve been here on several occasions and everytime, I’m warmly welcomed and promptly attended to. I live about 15 minutes down from here and the food always gets home hot. I’ve also been here for their lunch buffet and for $ 7.99 you can’t beat it :)

We’ve been meaning to try this restaurant for awhile and we decided to come the other night. After our meal I’m glad I did! Once we walked in and sat down I felt like I stepped into a restaurant right in India. It was kinda dark in there too but added to making this place a hidden little gem/«hole in the wall» golden eateries. I usually like coming to Indian restaurants with a larger group so i can try a bit of various dishes. It was not super busy when we went but service was very good. The husband and wife that runs the restaurant were both very attentive and ensured we were well taken care of and that our food needs were met. We started off with some vegetable samosas and the two that came out were huge. We also got the Chicken 65 and I loved it! Great portion too for an appetizer. After traveling to India last year I got hooked on that Chicken 65. I really like this restaurant’s version because the chicken pieces were all well sized and it wasn’t very heavy or greasy feeling since they were deep fried and dry like some of the other restaurants I’ve had it had. There was also a nice spiciness to it that creeped up the more I had the chicken pieces. It came with some yummy grilled onions and tasted great with some naan and curry that was recommended by the owner’s wife. *mindblown* I will definitely be pairing that for future visits to any Indian restaurants. For our entrees we ordered the shrimp vindaloo(medium spice level), chicken tikka masala(medium spice level), rice, and naan. Wow! We loved all of it! Especially the shrimp vindaloo(we agreed it was the best we’ve had in Atlanta) and naan. Their naan was AMAZING!!! Seriously. It was pillows of goodness. The tikka masala was also creamy and good. Great flavor balance in both of our our curry dishes. We finished our meal with kheer(rice pudding) and it was sooooooo good! Again, seriously. I’m picky on my Indian desserts and this was on point. Creamy but not overly thick, perfectly balanced sweetness, and just plain good! Job well done and keep up the good work.

I have been to Bukhara twice. First time for the pick-up delivery and the last time for dine-in. The place is ok in ambience. The food was pretty good. I liked there Dal Bukhara and Malai Kofta. This place serves pretty big sizes of Naan. I would definitely refer this place. I haven’t tried their buffet, but heard mixed reviews about the buffet. It is good for small and large groups. The prices are fairly in the range. Overall 4⁄5 place to go. Do check out this place.

I’ve been a regular at bukharaa for years but I slowly stopped going due to the high prices for weekend buffets and seemingly declining quality of the food. Today I decided to go back and weekday lunch buffet was only 7.99 which I thought was really great. That being said, their food wasn’t as great as I remembered. My absolute favorite dish, paneer tikka masala, still had the delicious gravy but the«paneer» tasted so flavorless and weird that I seriously suspect that they used tofu instead of real cheese… Also, they were super short on naan all the time. I only had two small pieces :( The owners were really lovely as always. All in all, I would go back on a given weekday for the price and some of the food that still remains yummy. I really miss the old lunch buffet but I can deal with this!

An Indian buffet lunch for $ 6.99, you can’t beat that! It’s cheap and delicious. My friend introduced this small place located in the same shopping center as Kroger. Buffet selection is pretty decent, they have couple vegetarian dishes perfect for vegetarians to try. My favorite is the Chicken tikka masala. Usually, other places serve the chicken as white meat, but here they serve it as dark meat with bone. It doesn’t bother me because it’s that tasty. Restaurant tables are decorated nicely, like an elegant restaurant. I love their naan! it’s warm, soft, and buttery. Only downside is that I have to wait for naan to come out couple times. I love naan and eat lot of naan. I like to eat it with the chicken tikka masala sauce. They don’t bring out the naan as fast as they should. However, they bring out the other dishes pretty fast. Service is nice. There’s a lady that’s there, I think she’s the owner. She is friendly, gives you recommendations. She makes sure that the dishes are refilled promptly. I like their desserts as well. There’s one with mixed fruits with whipped cream. I don’t know what it is called but that’s exactly what it looks like to me. Mixed fruits in whipped cream. It’s not too sweet surprisingly. Their rice pudding is delicious too. It’s sweet and smooth. I think it’s because they use the condensed milk. Overall, for $ 6.99 lunch buffet, this place is very decent. Every chance I have to be in the area, I’ll go there and eat.

First thing that stands out about this place is their lovely décor and hospitality. Bukhara, primarily is a North Indian food, which isn’t too spicy like south-Indian dishes(I like both depending on what I’m in mood for). They really do make one of the best tandoori chicken and naan here(When you are here do ask for butter naan or garlic naan to go with your curry). Food here is delicious, spiced just right — not too hot, not too sweet. Their weekend lunch buffet is just $ 7.99 and it’s pretty good deal considering you get to eat their best dishes for that price. Dinner is good too, we usually order non-veg thali or veg thali that comes with variety of meats cooked in kabob and curry style and vegetables. If I should point out something negative, they at times take longer to bring food out, especially when it’s bit crowded. But then that’s still not too bad, they are very polite and apologetic when that happens. Overall, I will definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone. We will keep going back. Four and half stars.

Love everything about this place. I haven’t visited this location for their dinner menu but a couple days out of the week, I work down the street from them so I’ve visited plenty of times and have enjoyed each visit. I tend to introduce a lot of my co-workers to their lunch buffet and everyone is very pleased with their first experience. Their lunch buffet is solid. My favorites are the tomato soup, fresh naan bread served at the table, the cubed homemade cheese dish with the tomato based sauce and their chicken options. With buffets is always hit or miss. Sometimes restaurants are not consistent but with every visit, Bukharaa is always consistent when it comes to their flavors, buffet menu options and freshness. Service is always a pleasure and the owner is extremely friendly. The entire restaurant is kept clean and tidy. Your water glass is always filled promptly and there are plenty of options to choose from at the buffet line. Their food is solid and their sauces are as good as they come. They are located in the Kroger shopping center at the corner of Medlock Bridge Rd. and McGinnis Ferry Rd. Will always look forward to visiting Bukharaa for lunch when working at our Johns Creek office!
