Keke is awesome. She is very knowledgeable about curly, dark hair (texture, cut and color) and is honest and very helpful with questions and concerns. I was visiting from out of state and she was highly recommended to me. I am so glad I went to her and happy I have a skilled stylist anytime I visit GA!

My favorite stylist was moved up to salon 124 so I had stopped going for about a year. However it was time to get my haircut and I had an event to go to, so I visited the salon again this weekend, and once again I was not disappointed
I had originally scheduled an appointment with Camille, but received a call the day of my appointment that she would not be available, but that Rebecca, the store manager, would be available to do my hair if that was OK and that I would pay the same price I was to pay with Camille, who is a level 3.
I asked for my hair to be cut in a specific style, I had a picture, and also to be styled for my event I had later in the evening. Rebecca was super helpful and very communicative during the session. We talked about what length I was comfortable with based on the form I wanted. She was super friendly and I felt very welcome and encouraged to come back.
She styled my hair and shellacked it in a way that looked perfectly natural but that lasted me all night, which is saying something in Georgia humidity, and I even woke up this morning with the curl still in my hair. I have to say this is the happiest I’ve been with my hair in a long time. Thanks so much to Rebecca and Salon Genesis.

I’ve been coming to Genesis for about a year now and normally I love it! This past time was a mess. I showed my stylist a picture of what I wanted and it didn’t turn out the way I wanted. Im normally a very easy client and don’t complain. My hair turned out to be a reddish color and not really the blonde I wanted. Fortunately, I’m kind of friends with the girl that did my hair so I texted her letting her know that I wasn’t happy with my hair and instead of her being professional about it she was rude. I totally understand that they don’t want to hear that but at least be nice and understanding. So I scheduled a redo appointment with someone else for the next day. I came in and showed her the EXACT picture I showed my other stylist and she comes back 15 mins later letting me know that we wouldn’t be doing anything and then accuses me of not showing her the right picture I had shown the other stylist. I have never been treated so wrong at a salon in my life. I definitely will not be coming back.

I have seen Marie at Genesis twice. The first time I wanted someone to help me select a new cut. She spent at least 20 min with me upfront talking about my hair (long, fine, straight), my lifestyle, etc. She and I poured over looks on her iPad. She gave me a completely new cut that was stylish and super easy to do. I got tons of compliments on it and a few of them called Marie for an appt! I waited almost 3 months to go back, she was our on maternity leave. My cut still looked good. This time I wanted to color my hair and we spent a lot of time up front going over ideas, options, and cost. I got another great cut and a beautiful natural looking new color that instantly made me feel better.
The nice part is how reasonably priced Genesis has been, as I don’t make much money. I highly recommend Marie and Genesis.

Gabe is amazing. She’s been styling me for a few years and always keeps my look fresh and modern. She gives me great advice and steers me away from anything that might damage my hair. The salon is always clean and runs on time.

Kae did an AMAZING cut for me. Found my new home for my hair. I had been looking for someone to cut my hair the correct way for a while. She nailed it! I am super excited to have found her. Can’t wait to see her again!

I have had my hair done here at least 15 times. My go to stylist, Dana, got a promotion and is now at their other salon. Good for her, bad for me. I called to make an appointment, and I was told that the only available appointment was with Marie, who was a level one. I accepted, thinking she couldn’t be awful if she worked at a salon. WRONG!
I explained what and how I wanted my cut. She confirmed while demonstrating with my hair, the length I wanted and what she was taking off. She ended up taking off 3 – 4 inches MORE than I wanted and when she made the first snip, she said, «Oops, I guess I should have taken off less and saw where it lied before cutting so much.» YA THINK???
Needless to say, I left the salon with my hood on, in tears, crying to the manager that I looked like an asshole. I haven’t been back since and never will go there again. They gave me the haircut for free, but the damage done was way more than a free haircut would make up for…
Avoid, unless you have your set stylist that you love, don’t jump around, you’ll pay the price!

Been coming here for years! Rebecca and Meg are two of the wonderful stylists I’ve had. My color always looks great!

I was in desperate need of a haircut, and a quick Unilocal search led me to Genesis Suwanee. I called and asked if they had anything available that day, and lucky for me, they did! The girl on the phone was very sweet and helpful. She told me my hairdresser would be Camille, and I was pretty excited because I had seen others raving about her in some of the reviews I read. I know that many other reviewers have already said how awesome Camille is, but it’s worth saying again! She truly does a great job! She asked a lot of questions about what I wanted, and I felt like she really took time out to make sure she did a good job. My layers look amazing, my bangs were exactly like I wanted them, and the length was perfect, too. She even taught me the best way to blow dry side-​swept bangs!
Prices depend on the «level» of the hairdresser, which range from 1 to 5. I was told that the levels represent the experience and training they’ve had. The prices for a haircut range from $ 23 (level 1) to $ 41 (level 5). My haircut was $ 33 because Camille is a level 3, but if I didn’t know beforehand, I would have thought she was a level 5!

A few months back I went in for color. Missy or Misty did my hair? I had a picture of what I wanted and I spoke with her about my likes and dislikes, specifically stressing I didn’t want to come out with a brassy or caramel color. She assured me it wouldn’t turn out like that. She pretty much did what she wanted, I hated the results. I wanted an ombré balayage look and that’s not what I left with… I refrained from writing this immediately Bc she did use the excuse that my hair was damaged and that I needed to come back in a few more times to get my hair to the brightness I wanted… I went to a different salon today and got exactly what I wanted…
I am giving it 2 stars Bc I did get a great haircut from Melanie at this location before… So if you want color wouldn’t recommend this place, for haircuts ask for Melanie!

I’ve been to Genesis Salon Suwanee a few times now — it’s always a great experience! The salon is clean, spacious, and trendy (modern?). The past two times, I’ve seen Dallas for a haircut and she’s been great both times! I just relocated back to this Alpharetta/John’s Creek/​Suwanee area and wasn’t sure where to look for my new regular salon … But Genesis Salon Suwanee is definitely the place to be!
Previously, I had a drastically sharp, angled, short bob. It’s been an 8 month long saga of attempting to grow out the cut. Both my first and most recent time (today), Dallas knew exactly what I was struggling with and gave me tips to grow out my hair. She’s done an excellent job trimming and shaping my hair both times! For $ 28, this is definitely a steal. (Definitely don’t let the different levels sway your opinion — I think Dallas is a Level 2, and the haircut is amazing!)

I walked in the door today and while I was waiting to check in, one employee was going on and on saying ugly things about another employee who had just walked away. This was with three customers across the front desk. A different girl took me back and was the least courteous person I’ve ever met in a salon. She didn’t make eye contact and kept talking loudly about personal matters to other stylists across the room. She never asked me what style I wanted and I ended up with this goofy teenager-​style blow dry to go to my business meeting. Some serious maturity problems here — never going back.
Pro: the place appeared upscale and clean
Con: who wants to pay money for this level of professionalism? There are many other salons nearby where you can spend your money.

Love my new cut and style! Gabe is a great stylist very professional and friendly. She listened to my requests, hair challenges and used her expertise to give me a great cut.
Cost is on par with salons. The atmosphere is great.

My daughters and I have been coming here for a number of years. They do a great job listening to your requests. The prices vary depending on the experience of your stylists. We have always been very happy with the cuts, color, and highlights. I would highly recommend Genesis.

Camille (christine holmes) is an all around great stylist! I had a wonderful first experience getting a cut for my long hair. My second appointment was for a uniquely bright red. She used a new Kune color for reds. It came out so good other girls were asking where I had it done & how they could get that color too!

Genesis is an awesome salon! I usually stop by once a season to get a color cut and conditioning treatment. Camille does an awesome job and has never led my hair astray! She listens to her clients and executes great styles. One thing I also really likwd is that when my roots went hot she fixed them for free instead of charging for extra color. I also really like the salon ambience and they use only great product lines.

I have curly blonde hair and had the cute idea that I could cut and color it myself to save money. WRONG. So after a month of letting the color fade out on its own, I called Genesis at the recommendation of several colleagues. Niele fixed my hair from a brassy frizzy mess to a cool smooth new ‘do, and I have NEVER had so many compliments on my hair. The prices were great, and Niele worked fast for a cut, full highlight, and glaze. I’ll definitely be back!

The absolute worst hair salon I’ve ever been to. I waited 30 mins past my appointment time, which was the best part of my experience. My hair «stylist» was more concerned about her upcoming vacation then she was with what I asked for. I ended up with red hair… When I asked for blonde highlights! I looked ridiculous! I proceeded to tell her I wanted more blonde at that point she had to go consult with a co worker on how to fix what she had done. After 3hrs I paid for my visit and walked out.
I immediately drove to Salon 124 there sister salon and asked for a more advanced stylist to help fix my Ronald McDonald hair. The salon was empty with just the stylists standing around, as I’m in tears asking for help the manager proceeded to tell me no one had time to help me, after I even offered to pay!!!
I emailed the manager from Genesis Salon telling her my story and never got a response! Worst customer service I have ever had in my life!!! To this day (3 months later) I’ve yet to receive even a simple follow up call or email!
I warn you worst experience and waste of money!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!

As far as salon’s go, Genesis is top notch. What really makes my experience is the quality of my hair cut and color. Camille is my stylist and I could honestly say that I have never had such a positive response from my colleagues, friends, and family after getting my hair styled. Each time I visit Camille (Christine Holmes), I leave with a big smile! Camille makes the entire experience very comfortable. She is very creative and has a great personality and I enjoy conversing with her throughout my visit.
I get my hair cut, colored, and styled and have had a great experience each time! My favorite part though is when I get to work and the women I work with compliment my hair and want to know where I go to get it done.
I highly recommend Camille (Christine Holmes) of Genesis Salon if you want to have a fantastic hair style and experience!

Reviewing a salon can be tricky because most of the review is regarding the stylist that does your hair. Christine (her booking name is Camille) cut, styled, and put a streak of color in my daughter’s hair. She did a wonderful job!
Genesis Salon was very nice. The interior was very clean and trendy. The stylists were all smiles and very friendly.
All in all it was a great experience and I recommend this salon to anyone reading this.
