Johns Creek Indoor Gun Range

We been practicing our skills on Monday (lunch special) and enjoy such quality time in a facility that is extremely clean and appreciative of their customers. The staff (Arlene, Wes & Chris) have no qualms answering questions and are knowledgeable, courteous and always friendly.
We were on the hunt for a particular revolver for sometime and because of its limited availability, didn’t even think that JCGR might have it and they did. Thrilled with the purchase, an easy transaction and know when another gun fits our needs, we will look no further then in our backyard, at Johns Creek Gun Range.

Before I bought my first fire arm I actually went to a gun range in Cumming Ga (Bullseye gun range) where I live and this place is head and shoulders better.
Pro’s. Professional staff, courteous and knowledgeable. No hard sellers. Don’t push any brands on you but give you proper attention.
Got a lesson with one of their instructors after being completely ignored by Bullseye (Jim) in my Cumming for over a month (hope he reads this). Although it’s 20 minutes further away I prefer coming here because of service and clean ventilated ranges… something the other place needs to address.
I spend 80% of my range time here and would recommend JC Indoor Gun Range to any of my clients and friends that are interested shooting.
John’s Creek has a great, hontest staff that won’t go raid Walmart for ammo (Bullseye, Bush league) and take inventory away from public.
Cons. Might be a little more pricey that others but they do have an early bird special on weekdays.
PS…Only neg. remarks on this range have Bullseye written all over it. That’s one reason I’m calling them out here. I have a feeling those post may not be legit.

I have been to several ranges over the past several years. JCIGR is nice and their prices are reasonable. As far as staff, they were friendly but not overly friendly. There was another customer struggling with their equipment and the staff member was visibly irritated. One day, staff will realize that returning customers help keep the front door open and help maintain your active job status. I can’t say I will never return to this place, but it will be a while.

Been here 4 times now, all nice experiences. It’s never been packed when we’ve come (usually later weekend evenings) and have been able to get a lane right away.
If I were to compare to Sharp Shooters in Roswell, where we were members when we lived closer, I would mention two differences: 1) This place is not as «high energy» when you walk through the door, but don’t let that fool you. These guys know their stuff, and are definitely there to answer any questions you might have about the guns they carry or shooting in general, in a very friendly and patient manner. 2) This location does not have the same bright and shiny appearance either, but again, not in a bad way. It’s not quite as brightly lit as Sharp Shooters and has a smaller sales floor, but Johns Creek IGR is extremely clean, and they still have a great selection of firearms for purchase and rent, as well as accessories.
I have to admit, I can’t comment on pricing. We were members at Sharp Shooters, and have only payed to rent lanes here a few times, sometimes adding ammo to the bill, sometimes not, and my husband has always dealt with it. Not sure if they have a membership option and how it would compare.
This is a great local gun range, with staff that has always been friendly, accommodating, and informative. No frills, but who needs ‘em? You’re there to shoot stuff anyway.

Range is ok. Staff not so much. Not much customer service here. I get it you deal with guns and live ammunition but you don’t have to act like a deer in the headlights. Prices are a little overpriced. Transferred a gun from
to them. Never received a call that the firearm arrived or anything. Emailed them twice before asking questions and advising them of the transfer never heard from them. Also asked about transfer fee since it’s not posted anywhere on their website. Found out the fee when picking up the gun $ 50. Double what anyone else charges. LOL. I guess that’s why i never got a reply from them. I’ll be going back to bullseye marksman. I tried supporting them because they are a new business but not with these practices. Also no range supervisor. Really? Don’t waste your time

Very friendly and helpful staff. They are all willing to answer questions from a relatively new shooter such as my self. Arlene the manager was especially helpful and fixed my weapon when I caused a problem trying to clean an older weapon. She took the time to explain the problem and showed me how to do it the correct way. Never had a problem getting a lane even on the most busy weekend days. Ammo prices comparable with other stores and they have a good selection of targets.

Very nice indoor gun range. The staff were very friendly for a first timer (me!!). Located on McGinnis Ferry Road where the publix is. We had no wait time for a lane but as I noticed later on it did get really full in there. Nice targets… got a regular and a zombie one for practicing. There are options of renting guns or rifles which I plan to later on. But since this was my first time… I opted for my fiancees handgun. It was very clean inside and they have the option of washing your hands after shooting your gun. Price was reasonable I assume for gun ranges as my fiancée was saying. I will definitely be back to this gun range for shooting targets!!!

Nice friendly staff. Super close to where I live. Really busy on Saturday afternoon. Nice lounge area. Firearm pricing and ammo is quite higher than most ranges. Pricing is about the same as other ranges. I would of like to see a lane safety officer walking around to make sure everybody was doing what they are supposed to doing. Norcross gun range has one of these especially when its crowded. Makes me feel a little more safer. One thing I did notice is the digital yard mover was a little farther than the displayed yardage on the display. I will be back again on the weekends but I will still continue to go to norcross gun range after work on weekdays.

Nice new facility. Nice ranges with fast target movers. Only complaint is that some lights are out in the shooter’s area of the lane but it’s a well-​lit range so that’s most likely not an issue.
Love the ability to drop your gear and wash up prior to checking out. Prices are reasonable and lanes are usually open unless you go on a busy Saturday afternoon. Our wait was only about 7 minutes though and it gave me and my friend a few minutes to catch up and chat about what we were shooting that day.
We’ll definitely go back and drill more holes in some well-​deserving paper targets.

Nice facilities, BUT (and that’s a BIG BUT)…
I’ve been shooting for over 30 years and I’m a stickler for range safety. Over the years I’ve seen my share of stupidity in handling weapons, but my tolerance for that remains the same… nil. Anyway, I was really happy when this range opened because it’s very close to where I live, so I was looking forward to many happy hours of target practice. Went there a few times, and the place was virtually empty, which I absolutely loved. However, today was a bit different. I was shooting and minding my own business, when I suddenly realized that there was a group of people right behind me, standing around the table next to the back wall. One of them was showing the rest a semi-​automatic pistol. He was making holster removal movements and all kinds of things. I didn’t know if that weapon was chambered, or cocked, or if it had a magazine with rounds in it. It was in the closed position, so it was impossible to tell. What I do know, is that you never, ever, handle a weapon unless you’re at your shooting spot, and the weapon is pointed downrange. I immediately went outside, and asked the attendant to tell this «shooter» to stop. He did, so I resumed my shooting. Now, I do know that in certain ranges, this guy would’ve been thrown out immediately, but I guess these people are more tolerant. So, I’m shooting away, when all of a sudden, I hear this loud banging sound. Now, mind you, I wear double ear protection, so the banging had to be really loud. I look behind me, and there’s that same guy, hitting a loaded rifle magazine against the table. For what purpose, I don’t know, but he was going at it with gusto. At that moment I decided that enough was enough, and I went outside, where I spoke with the manager and the attendant that had assisted me earlier. I told the manager about the banging, and she kindly informed me that «nothing was happening» because he didn’t have a weapon with him now. I then proceeded to explain to this person, (who makes a living managing a shooting range), what happens when a sharp object hits a primer, however, she didn’t think that was much of an issue. The attendant, in the meantime, was looking at me with a dismissive smirk, which added insult to potentially deathly injury. The end result was that the unsafe shooter had a great time, and the experienced one ran away for dear life. Final verdict, I’d rather drive a few more miles to Bulls Eye, and be safe, than going to a range that’s closer and running the risk of not coming back home alive.

Very nice range. Staff are actually helpful unlike… just about any range/​gun store I’ve ever been to. The place is nice and clean, well-​lit, and the targets are nice. They do not have a big selection of guns for sale, it seems their main focus is on the range. I did send an FFL transfer there, they were very nice/​efficient about it.
Ladies day Mondays (free range time), IDPA on Tuesdays, and they have a variety of classes and private instruction. I hate that they’re not closer to downtown!

Very impressed! Great looking place and super helpful employees! I plan to return often! They def deserve a 5 star review, all other places need to pay attention, this is how it should be done. I had tons of questions that Phillip patiently and completely answered without a hint of being patronizing or condescending. He made me feel like I was the only person in the store, great experience!

FANTASTIC RANGE !!! It’s a pleasure to go there, Robbie is super Friendly and is a Great Instructor. The Place is spotless and has all state of the art electronic targets, plus a big area to rest your ammo & gun on. Try this Range one time and you will not go anywhere else. This place is The Best !!!

It is a Great place and Great people there! The only problem one employee is a Jedi Master and may FORCE you to join, but to the good side!

Went to shoot on Saturday night. Clean well lit facility. Friendly staff. Robbie, the range officer, was very helpful. He made sure the range stayed clean, and had a low key, fun atmosphere going. Headed back soon.

Remington & Robby were a GREAT HELP. Their Customer Service was excellent and they went above and beyond. They took the time to answer all of my questions. Thanks and we will definitely be back.

Staff seems friendly enough.
Decent accessory and firearm inventory to just be starting out.
Firearm pricing is a little high. Some accessories are more inline price-​wise where they should be.
Nice showroom with a very classy sitting area including bar stools and the range glass.
Range is a little high at $ 18 per day, especially if you’re there just to shoot a bit and get out again.
