Went to Dr Conlin for a physical only and I was billed for physical and a separate office visit. All he did was ask me about pre-existing conditions(from form I had to fill out when I arrived) and then he starts billing me as if he is treating me for those conditions, even though I told him I am seeing another specialist for those pre-existing conditions. This is billing fraud. Dr Conlin also tried to prescribe cholesterol medication even though my cholesterol levels were very good, and he became extremely rude when I questioned the need for that.

Dr. Conlin is a part of the Johns Creek Primary Care practice. His specialties are Internal Medicine and Lipidology. After my annual physical exam last Wednesday, the results alerted the doctors that a 14 pound rebound in weight, after I had lost 105 pounds during the previous two years, was taxing an inoperable aneurysm on my heart. So, after lovingly kicking my fat butt a while, they convinced me to start the physician-administered Optifast Weight Control Regimen(yes, a diet, but I can’t let my stomach think it is). I met with Dr. Conlin on the following Friday, who thoroughly and kindly laid out the physio-metabolics(I’m a Biology major, so I had to ask) of the next 13 weeks, and encouraged me greatly. The goal: lose 50 pounds by mid-December, while following an 850 calorie a day intake based on the nutritional foods he supplies, with blood tests every two weeks. I started yesterday, and it’s relatively painless, because I eat 5 times a day. The tough part is drinking 2 liters of water a day(pit stops every two hours!). Why my review so early? The entire staff has made me feel very comfortable, and weekly check-ins keep me ‘on-task’, so I am absolutely confident of success. I guess there will be a scarcity of Unilocal!restaurant reviews from me for the next little while, but there are lots of other types of businesses out there!
