I’ve been to this place a few times and I wanted to reserve judgement until I ate there multiple times. I really wanted to like this restaurant, but I can’t recommend it necessarily. My wife and I had dinner most recently on Saturday night there. Like many restaurants, we were told to wait for 20 minutes before we could be seated which is fine. However, it should be noted that the dining room was half-full with an ample number of empty tables. Presumably, their wait staff was short that evening(and that’s not the first time its felt that way). The bar is nice both inside and outside and the bartenders make great drinks at reasonable prices. It’s a good place to have an after work, or evening drink without a doubt. I’d certainly recommend the bar without questions. What I do not care for is the restaurant itself. It feels like corners are being cut and while it wants to be a nice restaurant, it falls short. The service is slow and the staff seems overworked. They miss the service details that separate finer dining establishments from local taverns. The last two times my wife and I have been there, our servers were considerably sweaty and out of breath. Since the restaurant opened, the food quality and service quality has fallen off. The service is very slow(like the servers are covering too many tables each). The servers also do not seem interested in helping each other out. You’ll sit there wanting service while the staff just walks by you. The service is the restaurant’s biggest problem. While most of the dishes are just fine, they really don’t justify their price. While nothing is particularly bad, from the dishes I’ve had, nothing seems to stand out either other than their signature burger. Which is a ridiculous concoction of meat, cheese, more meat, more cheese, etc. It’s a fun dish that gives the restaurant some character. However, it is definitely not for everyone. The rest of their dishes fall somewhere in, the«just fine» category, but priced like something better. If it were not for the restaurant’s prime location near me, I wouldn’t go out my way to eat there. I feel this restaurant would be better served being a local tavern than a fine dining establishment. However as it stands, it seems that ownership can’t decide what it wants to be. It’s in a terrific location and there should be far more people in there on a Saturday night than I’ve seen lately. However, it could be a whole lot better. If the restaurant wasn’t trying to put off such a fine dining image, then a lot of this would be more forgivable. As it stands though, this is a middle of the road restaurant trying to resemble a fine dining establishment. The food is decent enough(but overpriced for the quality), but the service needs a lot of work from the kitchen to the wait staff. This restaurant has a lot of potential, but it is not coming close to meeting it.

We placed an order consisting of 1 appetizer and 2 entrees. 40 minutes later and still nothing. Politely discussed with manager and exited with no Friday night dinner.

French onion soup used to be amazing but since Matt m. Left the entire operation has gone downhill. Took my family there for Mother’s Day and food took an hour to get to our table. I would be understanding but there were only 4 other people in the restaurant. Food was well below expectations and they didn’t even get it right.

I don’t review ever good or bad but I’ll make an exception for this place. Let’s start at the hostess station. The couple before us made a reservation and it was lost or not recorded, no biggie they were accommodated and seated. So I give my name for our party of 5 reservation SURPRISE can’t find it so I look at the reservation book, nope no book just 5 or 6 scrap pieces of paper with names and numbers and some doodles. Well our scrap paper was found and we were seated. After 15 min of no service I asked a passing manager for our server she said no problem and brought us warm glasses and room temp water. Another 15 – 20 min no service, we notice other tables seated after us being served drink orders yet we haven’t seen a server. Fed up we left and went next door to ippolitos and had a wonderful meal and great service. 45 min for warm water, great place.

Amazing French Onion soup. Pick up a copy of Coffee News while waiting for your table. It’s fun reading. We always request Chris as our server and are used to the 1st class service and of course, Chef’s amazing cuisine!

We have been there twice recently — once for dinner and once for lunch. Both times it seemed pretty empty. I hope they can keep it going. That location has been through several restaurants. Our dinner experience was a pretty solid 5 star dinner. I had the scallops and parsnip purée. It was one of the best scallop dishes I have ever had! We really enjoyed our dinner. Our lunch was kind of a 3 star experience. The lunch menu is much more limited and we struggled to find something somewhat healthy. I ended up ordering a salad and asked them to change the fried chicken to grilled. My friend ordered a Caesar salad and asked them to add grilled chicken too. They didn’t seem to have a vinaigrette type dressing. Mostly ranch, Caesar… We struggled to find just what we were in the mood for. Both salads came and there was so little dressing I was almost convinced they forgot to dress them at all! I guess that’s one way to save calories! We had to ask for more. I think this place has real potential. They have a premium location right there at the park. The outdoor seating is great on a nice day. They have a pretty decent wine selection. It’s apparent that the chef can cook! I think they just need to tweak the lunch menu a bit. I hope they can find their groove! I would hate to see them go the way of the previous restaurants in that location.

I’d heard good things about this restaurant from friends. My husband and I were in the area for a festival, and decided to give it a try. We were incredibly disappointed overall, despite the food(when it did finally come) being relatively good. We were seated immediately at an open table on the patio. It took 10 minutes for a waitress to notice we were there. She took our drink orders(waters) and we asked for a food and drinks menu. 10 minutes later we got our drinks, and the food menu came several minutes after that. About 15 minutes later she took our food order, and I asked again for the drinks menu, which we received some time later. My husband and I both ordered the same drink. Our food arrived about 45 minutes after we initially sat down. I had a goat cheese artichoke spinach ravioli dish, which came with three very understuffed ravioli. It was very flavorful, and the goat cheese filling(what there was of it) was great. But definitely a much smaller portion than I expected for the price. My husband ordered a chicken dish that he said was really good. We got our drinks well after our food. Despite both ordering the same drink, they were vastly different. I’m not sure mine actually had any alcohol content at all, and tasted like grapefruit soda on ice with nothing else. It was also almost all ice. My husband’s was very good, though. What really annoyed me though was at the end of our meal. I couldn’t track down our waitress, so I asked a random waiter who walked by if I could speak to the manager. I didn’t want anything off my bill, I just wanted to provide feedback. The waiter said the manager was unavailable. Really? Overall, I don’t know if this was an off night or what was going on. But what should have been a reasonably quick meal instead turned into an hour and a half ordeal. There was definitely a lot of disorganization from the kitchen to the wait staff to the bar. I don’t believe we will be back.

I’ll Start with the good. The calamari was crispy and fresh. The wedge salad was good. I could’ve made a better dressing easy! 1 cup sour cream ½ cup mayo 1 tablespoon vinegar ¾ cup good blue cheese 1 to 3 dashes hot sauce Tabasco Little salt and pepper to taste 2 tablespoons milk Stir

Very slow service. I went with one other person for lunch on a Saturday. We sat at the bar. I ordered the lunch special which was chicken tacos and my fiancé ordered a chicken sandwich. His sandwich took forever to come out and when it did they assured me that my meal was coming right behind his. He was completely finished with his mean when my tacos came out. The bartender tried to explain that they serve really upscale food and that’s why it takes so long… a grilled chicken sandwich nor chicken tacos should take almost an hour. Probably wont be back any time soon.

We waited 40 minutes for appetizers then another 40 minutes for our food. The Tavern Chips that I’ve had on many occasions and absolutely love, were overcooked. My mother ordered the short ribs. The waiter(Greg) came back and advised there were no brussel sprouts. She let him know that was fine and replaced the side only for him to return again to let her know that she could not order the ribs at all. As a result, she ordered«wings». The waiter spilled a glass of water all over my father. The waiter switched the meals up between 2 members of the party. One began to eat the wrong meal. Leaving the other completely upset having to wait another 20 minutes for his to be replaced. I ordered a bubbles and berries only to have it contain 80% dry ice which remained in the glass. The waiter had it remade. No especially for mom bread pudding, as we were told that the Chef had a funeral and did not make it. No one gets notice of a funeral the day of, a very poor excuse. Luckily we bought a Publix cake for the kids and ate it as a group.

We set out to go for a Pizza at another nearby restaurant. However we parked nearer to the Park Tavern and having looked at the menu we gave it a shot. Great service from the start with fantastic food. Chef T came out to check everything was to our liking. Everything was. She went on to offer us free deserts much to our amazement. Normally this is something you are offered when things go wrong! Two of us have nut allergies and one is coeliac. Chef T made a sweet Tortilla dish for the coeliac from scratch and served strawberry cake for the rest of us. Outstanding service, food was great, French Onion Soup and The Lamb Chops are highly recommended.

Started the night with a great cranberry mule from the bar, went on to have the cheese curds which were a great twist on a familiar appetizer and the tomato jam was delicious! As a meal I had the short rib which fell apart at the touch of my fork and by far met my expectations but the stars of the dish were the the creamy cheddar grits which melted in my mouth and had a smooth near perfect consistency and the Brussels sprouts which were deep fried and garlic glazed. I will definitely be back and would love to see an establishment like this down in Miami where I’m from. Chef T the restaurants current executive chef and Hells Kitchen runner up even came out to visit our table and was beyond personable and inviting… overall it was a great experience.

Great place for a beer with friends. Great environment and bar area with plenty of TVs. So, let me tell you why only 3 stars. First off, they really don’t have a great selection of beers on tap. Isn’t the point of a «tavern» to have beers? At least give me more than 5 options on tap. Their food is what you’d expect from a tavern, just plain average. I will admit that their burgers once in awhile are on point, but every time I’ve been there the burger tastes a little different. Overall, I’d recommend this place for a beer with friends, to watch the game, and for the environment, but wouldn’t really recommend for the food alone.

Tried to check in. Receptionist said they were too busy. Empty tables everywhere. Said we wanted a glass of wine while we waited for dinner. Nope! Spoke to the manager. He referred me to another waiter. Expressed my concern and he told me sorry. Went to Ippolitos. Great service! They won’t be in business for very long. Call before you go.

This location has struggled to find a viable tenant for several years. Suwanee Park Tavern seems to have a better shot than the previous restaurant, based on a single visit each. My wife and I had lunch here on a Friday a couple of weeks ago. The interior has a lot of dark wood and sports-tuned TVs. The overall vibe is a bit upscale/classy. They have a decent variety of menu options. We split a salad which we enjoyed. I think I had one of the flatbreads, which was also good. My wife had fish, which was okay. The only oddity was that the entrees were delayed a bit as the kitchen happened to be hosting a health-inspection at the time, so there was a temporary halt to food prep. Not a big deal, and they apparently passed. I wasn’t immediately hooked, but we will probably go back(maybe to try dinner instead).

I was really looking forward to dinner here for my friend Melanie’s birthday but was super disappointed with our meals. It’s a great looking restaurant. You can’t help but notice the beautiful chandeliers and dark wood furniture throughout. They seemed to have a really nice bar to the right as you walk in as well. The hostesses at the front were super pleasant and our server, Christopher was very accommodating but the food was just«meh.» 4 out of 9 of us ordered their Tavern burger and we were all very disappointed. My boyfriend and I ordered our burgers«medium well» which is not what we typically order but it was a 10 oz burger so thought we’d be on the safer side. Turns out the burgers came out super dry and almost burnt. I had to continue to add the chipotle mustard on my burger because it lacked flavor and was way over cooked for«medium well.» My boyfriend couldn’t even finish his burger and mentioned that he could taste charbroiled burnt pieces in every bite. Even the birthday girl didn’t even finish her burger. The others at our table seemed to enjoy their mac n cheese, chicken tenders and French dip sandwich. My friend Melissa ordered the California Veggie burger and the avocado was missing from it. It was very nice of our server to surprise our friend Melanie with a slice of their chocolate cake with all the trimmings for her birthday so that was a very nice gesture. Overall, the service here is excellent but not sure why they couldn’t get their burgers cooked well enough for us to come back. Our first impression of this restaurant wasn’t the best but perhaps we will give them another shot and try some of the other different menu items next time.

Outdoor bar was the best part of this place. Mongo was the bartender and a very attentive one at that. Very nice spot to sip or watch the people of Suwanee Town Center go by. 4 TVs for the bar — each on a different station. $ 8 for sauvignon blanc isn’t a bad deal. Will be back for sure while its patio season. No obnoxious customers or needy people. Check out the outside patio if you’re going. It’s covered so you won’t be blind by the sun.
