I took two coats and a pair of pants in for mending. The ladies there were very nice and knowledgable. They assessed and gave me a reasonable quote. $ 40 for all three garments. They appear to do a lot of business. There were several people there with several garments for alterations. I’m excited to have found this place!

We have been here twice now once for pants to be hemmed and now today for a bridesmaids dress to be altered from an 18 to a 12. The women working there are AMAZING at what they do, and not to mention that they are so sweet and kind. Their prices are fair and they are expedient. Highly recommend.

This shop is just the best place for alterations. They altered my tuxedo for my wedding. prompt, friendly, reliable and reasonable, doesn’t get any better. In fact my wife went in for a small alteration and they didn’t even charge her! People like this deserve all the business that they get.

I’ve had many things tailored there over the last 9 years. At both locations. Very friendly ladies who really care about the job they are doing for you. Prices are reasonable. I’d recommend them!

Damage for hemming my two dress pants: $ 20.00 for the both. Not bad!!!
My only complaint is that this place is not open very late during the week for those of us who have a 9 – 5 job and can’t get there until after 6. However, they have Saturday hours, which almost makes up for it.

I went to there old location (before it burned down) and had two pairs of pants hemmed. They did a great job and put the original hem back on the pants and they looked perfect. I then went to their new location and got a dress and shirt altered. They did a good job, the dress still isn’t perfect but I think that’s just the dress. I will definately go back.

Peter’s Tailoring has burnt down! Horrifying! Thank goodness everyone was okay and the women who own it are now at 646 Humphrey Street.
Another note, the women at Peter’s tailored my wedding gown and did a wonderful job. They’re very meticulous and sweet as can be (giving me a big hug and well wishes as I picked up by gown for the big day)!
The pricing was reasonable. Love this place!

Even though the only other review looks like it might be spelp… this place really is great. I used to come here ten years ago, and recently went back now that I’m living nearby again and was so happy to find that the service is just as friendly and professional as before. Everyone is very chatty and pleasant and most importantly invested in making sure your clothes are tailored properly and to be flattering. You can trust them with simple jobs like hemming jeans or more complicated affairs like your wedding dress. Worth it if you are nearby or far – you are guaranteed speedy, friendly, and professional service here.

Nice folks, and good prices, but…
I had a pair of jeans hemmed. Got them home and wasn’t pleased with the results. One leg was longer than the other, and the hem was uneven in spots, plus it was curved (shorter at the side seams than at the front and back of the leg) which looked really strange. I decided to bring them back and ask for a refund. They offered to rehem them. I politely declined, saying if I didn’t like the work the first time, I didn’t want them to do it a second time. I just want a refund — only $ 10. I was told «WE DON’T OPERATE THAT WAY» so I left. It seems to me a company would want to make the customer happy, but not in this case.
