The Salty Sheep is an amazing yarn shop. The owner is welcoming and always there to lend a hand if you need help. The shop itself is cozy with a large variety of amazing yarns. I love going in on Fridays for knit night and being able to spend time with other knitters. Now that we have moved away I make it a point to return to this shop every time we visit the area.

This little gem in downtown Swansboro is the cutest yarn shop I’ve ever been in. It is well stocked with gorgeous yarns, patterns, accessories, etc. and so beautifully decorated! The owner is so helpful and knowlegable not to mention patient. I took a knitting class she was teaching and she walked around helping us and encouraging the newbies (me). I finished the headband/​earwarmer that day! I can’t say enough about the Salty Sheep and will return many more times. :)

The best yarn shop I’ve been to! No matter what Peggy the owner is doing she is never too busy to give you all the help you need. The employees and regulars have been so warm, friendly and helpful too. There are many beautiful knitted pieces all over the shop. Wonderful yarn selection.

Great visit to the salty sheep! Love the name, the décor, the examples, the yarn and the owner. I saw a beautiful scarf and after chatting about it decided I needed to make it as a gift. The owner helped me choose colors and we dicussed options for the pattern. I really enjoyed my visit and look forward to visiting again when I’m in the area!

Best yarn shop ever! Great selection of yarn, patterns, needles and supplies. Very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful staff. A definite stop while in Swansboro, the friendly city by the sea
