I only went in to get a pair of shoes polished to test this place out, since it’s on my way to work. I’d describe this business as reasonable in every way – reasonable location, reasonable price, reasonable quality of work. I think I paid $ 8 for the shoe polishing. However, I prefer a near-​mirror shine to my shoes, and so I’ll probably stick to doing it at home. If you want nice-​looking shoes that are clean but aren’t particular about how shiny your shoes are and you don’t want to spend time polishing them yourself, this place would be good. The turnaround was just one day, which was good, and the guy at the counter was friendly.

I have used Concept for both purchase and repairs. I was ecstatic that they sell Thorogood boots (American and Union made) which are in my well worn opinion, the best in the world. I only wish they were able to carry more styles in stock, but I understand small business. Randy is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk with. I ordered a pair of boots I wanted but did not have in stock and he kept me well informed when they were a couple days late due to cut off (which he was upfront about the possibility). I will be taking my other Thorogood’s in the next week to be freshened up. This is a perfect example of why small businesses are the best to deal with. I will refer everyone I know.

This is by far the best shoe repair operation in the Metro East. Look no further.
I have had all my shoes repaired there. Taps installed. Belts shortened (they can’t lengthen them, unfortunately). They sell top-​notch shoes like the Alden brand. The pair of Aldens I purchased maybe ten years ago are still going strong and look great. Don’t buy Kiwi brand polish. Instead look at the high-​quality polishes they sell at Concept.
They selll other excellent shoes and they stock Birkenstocks!
Everything brought in is logged on a computer system and you get a receipt telling you they are done. You can even get an e-​mail telling you your leather item is ready for pick-​up.

I have been a customer of this place for close to 15 years, maybe even closer to 20 years? I have bought an Alden pair of Wing tips that they keep looking great. I can’t count the number of times they have put new soles on these shoes.
Took them to the new location, same owners and same great service. They are putting a new type of sole on it.
I also bought a new pair of custom made shoes. The options were incredible. There were no less than 6 different measurements taken for my pair of shoes.
Keep in mind this is not some cheap pair of shoes, but they are an incredible value for your money!
