Swarthmore Hair Studio

Horrible haircut. I really wanted this to be my new salon since it’s right down the street. Alas, no such luck.

I recently broke up with my last stylist after 2 bad cuts in a row (and just a general annoyance with the whole studio – they’re on here, and have already gotten bad reviews, so I won’t chime in for fear of karma.)
I decided to find an Aveda salon, since I used to go to one in New York which I really loved. I love the products, the stylists, the whole peaceful vibe you get when you enter one of their salons. I found this place, and although I’ve only been once, it’s SUPERB. The owner really took her time with me – studying my hair, asking how I usually style it, what works, what doesn’t – and gave me a terrific cut, explaining the whole time what she was doing and checking to make sure I liked it.
It’s on the expensive side, but definitely worth it. Plus, you can’t beat the Swarthmore location (great little coffee shop, Hobbs’, across the street, and some adorable shops right down the block)
