A great spot if you are looking for gifts. I think this is more of a home décor place than a really antiquey spot. Mainly because there is a significant retail assortment and those items that are antiques are super high quality. How can I explain it. hmmmm… Well. Here you can buy a scarf for your lady friend. Or a purse. Pick up a book about Savannah gardens and drop it on your coffee table at home. Take home some soaps. Or fall in love with the china. And book ends. Or tablecloths. Or seasonal figurines. Or funny wall signs. You can easily throw down some cash and redecorate your house after coming here. Because there is one thing you will find for certain here: inspiration.

If you are like me and THINK you like to go antiquing until you spend a day looking at piles of junk that looks like your grandmother’s rejects, then you should try going to Bobby Todd’s. This is what I think antique stores should look like. Everything is displayed beautifully and the furniture is not rickety garbage. Not all pieces are old, but worthy of being placed with antiques. Great accessories, not just shelves of carnival glass. Someone mentioned the prices are higher than some, but my daughter and I felt like they were lower than antiques in Knoxville and much lower than antiques in Atlanta or Nashville. The prices may be high for Sweetwater standards, but it is by far the nicest store in Sweetwater. The town itself is cute and worth the drive.

Absolutely beautiful inside! The building itself has been wonderfully restored and is worth a walk through by itself. The focus in the store is of more high end pieces instead of collection pieces. I found several pieces that caught my eye and others that offered that«wow» factor. Also the store has ac which is hard to find in antique store! Prices are a little higher than some but I feel you get what you pay for here.
