Casa Torres Restaurant And Cantina

First time here and not a good experience. Bar tender was rude and unprofessional. We were here for a nice evening of dinner and drinks and ended up leaving before we got our food. The place has potential, but the staff should be better trained in customer service, or replaced by people that actually want the job and will take pride in what they do.

I like the bar area, they have really good drinks. And I love that they have mariachi.

Love this place! We celebrated my Dad’s birthday here. Our party was 20 people. Food is true authentic Mexican food. Huge selection for brunch 9−2pm. The manager Beto is amazing! He made sure it was memorable! The service was exceptional! Our waiters were on point! It’s a great place to celebrate with family.

Came out here for Valentines double date, disservice the type of service received. Placed my name on the waiting the list, was informed the mariachi would come out to the bar area and only sang one song! After several attempts to obtain a table by the mariachi they didn’t accommodate me instead they said mariachi would come out to play in my area! The management staff did nothing to compensate for the lack of service! My choice, should have gone with the first choice– learn from Cielito Lindo or any other well established Mexican restaurant!
Be careful if you decide to chose them as your host for any special event!!! Remember Casa Torres hall in San Fernando is under the same management!

I can’t even believe that people keeps coming here the food it ‘s so taste less and the place it’s so ugly

Last night (Tuesday) was DEAD! The stage were on, but no one was performing… No one was seeing up to perform… No one was in the room at all!!! My wife and I were the only people in the dining room (twilight zone) the bat had about 2 – 3 people. This is very pricey! There isn’t an option under $ 16.95 (maybe two appetizers) and everything is a plate. I would prefer to have some al a carte options as I wanted something light (2 fish tacos) before the gym later. Our waiter was very attentive and nice, but no one else was creating an enjoyable environment. No one was there and they were acting like no one was there! Now don’t get me wrong, it is very nice inside and I thought the guacamole was pretty good (it’s actually 7.95 and that’s cheaper than most places) my wife and I shared shrimp fajitas and they were bomb? They have fresh made, in house floor tortillas. We enjoyed the food, but unfortunately would not return unless we were really hungry and we knew there would be entertainment.

Nothing to rave about. Got the chile verde off their lunch special menu. The sauce could of had a bigger kick. Guacamole was decent, but it came out too quick for it to be made when ordered. The fresh tortillas are good. The pics de gallo salsa that comes with chips had a nice kick. The jamica was a too sweet for me, it was probably from a fountain.

This review is specific to the bar only. The bar is nice and has good space. Drinks are awesome as always especially their margaritas and micheladas! There’s plenty of tv’s to enjoy games and what not. Service is ok when on game nights but it’s understandable. However I really dislike their music selection. It is a buzzkill to go to Mexican restaurant and then listen to some old white funky music. Other than the music selection issue I would recommend.

Great food and atmosphere. Really fast service and drinks are reasonably priced. The tortillas are amazing and sometimes I just come for them. The mariachi is on point. Parking can be a hassle. Otherwise, a great place to eat on a date or with family /​friends.

Lets get to the point. Went on a Thursday night, It took 20 min to even get drinks in. I ordered a Chamoy Margarita on the rocks– did not like it, Kindly asked, the waiter «if i could get something else because i did not like the margarita», he told me that i cannot do that. Told him again, that i was not going to drink it and if i could get something else. He said flustered «WELL, what do you want?”(with attitude, and said that he cannot be doing things like that because the boss doesn’t allow it.) —I wasn’t asking for a FREE item, i just didn’t like what i ordered and should not have to pay for something that i was not going to drink. So… I said, «just give me a michilada» he said «no it would have to be equal in price to the margarita», (well WTF!) so i just ordered another regular margarita.
Even trying to dispute something like that is inappropriate –makes the customer feel uncomfortable.
My whole point is that when a customer doesn’t like a certain type of food or drink they ordered — without hesitation, the order should be taken care of and sent back. As to any other restaurant that you go to, it’s the proper thing to do.

Came here on the evening of New Years day 1÷1÷16.
I’ve always seen this place but finally got the chance to visit it.
Went to the bar section of the establishment. The bartenders are very friendly. The room is covered up with TV’s. Might have to catch a game here eventually in the near future.
I’d def come back!

2 stars because food looks good. I must say it has no flavor. For my personal opinion.

It’s not what is was before hate the seating floor plan and the Mariachi is not of my liking the atmosphere change very much.

Food is really good! We came the day after Thanksgiving so was pretty dead but the staff was friendly! Want to come back…

Got told we cannot dine in because one of the guests had a sleeveless t-​shirt.
No Tats showing
No gang slogans on his his (shirt was a Nike running shirt)
We left after the mini security guard told is «chew can-​no eat here-​«
Meanwhile in the bar are 6 chunts with there big ol Pisa cowboy hats and a couple of cholos all tatted up.
Not worth the attempt.
Parking is usually a joke.
Seating is cafeteria style
Food is average Cali-​Mexican
Mixed drinks are weak–

I recommend this place for drinks only. Place is nice and clean but I’m not thrilled about the food. I rather not … The homemade tortillas are good though but aside from tortillas and alcohol that’s about it.

5 stars for the entertainment. Loved the 7 member Mariachi, truthfully the Mariachi was the main reason we came and the only reason I’ll be back. Love singing along!
We had previously been to the old Casa Torres and wasn’t impressed by the food back then, the food continues to be subpar, considering we spent $ 200 on dinner for a party of 7, which didn’t drink any alcohol, imagine that, Mariachi and no dranks!
I will say, the new Casa Torres is very nice with its alfresco sitting area, and the indoor décor, a great improvement from the old Casa Torres. Now, if they would up their food game, Casa Torres could be amazing.

My family and I came in with 14 people in our group and they said they can’t seat us till the whole party of 14 got here. Mean while parties bigger than us came in and were seated because they had called ahead… Poor management, different waiters came up to us asked if he needed to be seated, we had to tell them each time we are waiting…
This is a big restaurant they should be more accommodating than this

Must go on Sundays!!! Live music, buffet of YUMMY food, and UNLIMITED MIMOSAS!!!

We came here with a big group for a birthday party this past weekend because we wanted to see a live mariachi band. (On Saturdays, they start at 8pm FYI) The restaurant is nice and looks pretty new, but the set-​up is pretty weird. It’s like sitting in a college dining hall at these long tables. Also found it a little strange that they have an armed security guard patrolling the restaurant.
Drinks are very large, but I ordered a skinny margarita that was way too sweet. I can’t imagine how sugary the regular ones must be!
Food is what I would describe as «edible». Nothing is GOOD-​good, with the exception of the tortillas since we noticed they have a fresh tortilla maker in-​house. I ordered a combo with chicken flautas. I took a bite and thought they were awful… they had a cat-​food like consistency. My boyfriend’s brother saw I wasn’t finishing them and took a bite, made a face and said in all seriousness, «you got tuna flautas?!» Ewwww. NO! We also thought that everything on the menu seemed pretty expensive, probably $ 5 more per dish compared to other restaurants.
Only other positive thing I could say was that our server was friendly and took care of us. Still, there wasn’t enough good stuff going on here to make me want to come back.
