These guys really know their stuff1
The service tech (Al) from Indepenent Brake Lathe came out and disgnosed the problem in about 15 minutes – which was a mere stripped out woodruff key on the main drive gear. He fixed and serviced the gearbox on-site, and about 1 hour later my brake lathe (an Ammco 7000) was up and running as good as new.
The day before a service technician from the previoius company I was using had told me told me that the gearbox on my brake lathe was shot, and that I needed to purchase another machine – which would cost several thousand dollars. Yeah – right!
I highly recommend Independent Brake Lathe Service.
