Mariachi de Mi Tierra

I was invited to a party where this band was to perform. The band showed up very late to the party. the host was not happy fred B.(manager) The band was overbooked by the manager which was why the band arrived late, we were very dissapointed to hear they kept there deposit.

I attended my god daughter’s quicenieda. The group was booked for 2 hours during dinner and they failed to show and refused to return the deposit. Stay away from these unprofessional people.

I attended my niece’s Sweet 16 and they hired this mariachi band to play during the dinner portion of the event. Dinner reception came and went and the band never showed up and to make things even worse a monetary deposit was required 5 months in advance for booking. This get even better he refuses to refund back the deposit and is extrememly unprofressional and unresponsive to the numerous attempts to collect the the deposit
DO NOT BOOK THEM !!! THEY don’t even deserve 1 s

I attended a close friends daughters sweet 16 recently and they had hired this mariachi band to play for two hours between 6 – 8. The band never showed and refuses to give back the deposit my friend placed 5 months in advance for booking. This is extremely unprofessional of them and took away from a very important birthday party for this sweet girl. I do not recommend booking this band unless you want to get stood up.

The mariachi that was hired did not show. My booking was passed down to another mariachi that was not the one we originally booked. The mariachi that showed up told me himself that the job was given to him by another person.
The mariachi was hired for two hours but they did not play for the time they were hired for. There was a miscommunication about the start time so they did agree to start 15min later. They started at 5:15 but they left at 6:50 which is still short of 2hours. The gentleman that was in charge mentioned that they had another even to get to by 8pm. I thought it was very unprofessional that they would book another event that would interfere with my event. The mariachi also would take long breaks between songs even when a request had been made.
I do not plan on ever booking with Mariachi de Mi Tierra again.

We wanted a Mariachi group to perform at my mother-in-law’s 90^th birthday celebration, but finding a good one is not easy. You either have to personally go listen to several groups or depend on other’s recommendations. Unfortunately, peoples’ tastes differ, and travelling around town to performances can be time consuming and expensive. Enter the Internet, youtube, and individual websites. After surfing the web in search of the right Mariachi group, we settled on «Mariachi de Mi Tierra». I was impressed with the sound of their group on their website and youtube, and after speaking with the leader, Alfredo Bocanegra, I selected them. He agreed to come out to Orange County from the Valley for a 2-​hour performance. I just hoped that their «traveling group» would sound as good as their larger in-​house group. They did not disappoint! The group consisted of 5 men and 2 women, all excellent musicians with strong mature voices. This is not a youth group but rather an experienced group of adult performers. The trumpet players and the lead singer were exceptional! The Mariachis were both friendly and professional. They played all our requested songs and thoroughly entertained everyone. If you are looking for Mariachis for your function, you won’t go wrong with Alfredo and his «Mariachi de Mi Tierra».

I also booked them last minute for a surprise for my family and I’m glad I didn’t listen to the bad review! They were worth every penny! They were professional, on time and incredibly talented! The only regret I have is I only booked 4, next time we’re doing 8 for sure! Their performance was electrifying, gave me chills during certain songs, and brought my mom to tears.

So, I booked them for a last minute event. I had done some research, and had called a few different bands. I was looking for the best price for a mariachi with 6 players. I thought I found them with this band. I was told 300 for 6. However, on the day of the event– only 5 showed up and the rep said he had made a mistake and it was actually 350 for 6 :/
What could I do at that point– my mom’s b-​day was not going to wait. I paid the amount, but let me tell you, I’ll never hire them again. Sure, they played well and they were accommodating. I had booked them for an hour, and then asked them to stay an extra hour cuz my mom was so happy. However, even with those pluses, they were still dishonest about their prices.

We hired Mariachi de Mi Tierra for my daughters baptismal party in Sept. 2012. They were on time, presentable, well dressed, played their instruments really well and their voices are amazing. They engaged our guests, played their requested songs and were really entertaining and fun. Will definitely hire them again in the near future. Thank you so much Mariachi de Mi Tierra!!!

I am sooo later in writing this review, but better late than never, right?
These guys are AMAZING!!! and that is not a word I toss around lightly.
My mother discovered them and asked if they could first play for my wedding and we have not stopped asking them to play ever since.
They play all the regular hits from the genre, but they can sure get down with anything you may ask them to play from Argentine Tango to Mr. Sinatra himself and they do it there way… All in all my family has had nothing but wonderful experiences with this Mariachi. Alfredo is a true professional that has made sure to make our family parties a truly special occasion. I can’t wait for our next event just to give them a call.

If you really wants a proffecional Mariachi Band you have to call this guys.
They were at my niece wedding and my other niece quinceañera and everything going good, but when I call them for my bday party OMG still ppl not stop saying how good they are
they were on time, all the songs I want they played, beautiful popurris mexicanos, they spend extra time with all my guest taking photos, the best part was when they find out my friends and I we are tango dancers and yes the play tango too, sooo coooooooooool!!!

Most unprofessional mariachi i have ever hired in my life! do not hire these people! they completely ruined alllll my wedding songs. I hired them 1 year in advance. before i paid them Alfredo the main coordinator guy was very easy to talk to, very easy to get a hold of. As soon as i paid the non refundable deposit, then it was impossible to reach the guy. they sounded horrible and they did not play the song that i specifically asked of them to play during my walking down of the aisle. it was awful! a warning! do not hire these mariachi’s you will be greatly disappointed! and you’d think for what they charge they would at least play the 1 song you made it a point to have played. Alfredo, the main mariachi never even showed up to the wedding! and they were late!!!
