Paramount Nursery

After just purchasing our first home I was in search for drought tolerant plant. This place is absolutely terrific with their amazing succulent and drought friendly plants! Such a great selection to choose from! Mario was so helpful and was able to help me with any question I had about any of the plants! Their prices are great too! I will be coming back!

I love this place. It’s absolutely massive — they have everything you could possibly want, plus it’s the lowest prices in town. From what I can tell it’s wholesale, but they will sell to the public. Thank heavens I found them before we did the big order for our garden. I had learned the hard way on some smaller purchases at other nurseries in valley, who were supposedly wholesale but charged much higher prices. The podocarpus we bought were $ 10-​$ 15 cheaper here than anywhere else and were also larger than others were offering. Paramount also have a great deal on fertilizer /​soil for planting — only $ 25 a scoop which is cheaper than paying $ 7 per bag. We did our order at 4pm and they delivered it the next morning at 8am. This is the only nursery I will use moving forward.

Man oh man. Remember one thing, for me time is very important. If I am driving to this nursery and on the way I easily pass 20 of them, it’s for a damn good reason.
I recently removed my turf and started converting my front yard to a water smart landscape. I turned to Unilocal in my time of need to find this beacon of hope.
Now I don’t say this naively, I have been to many nurseries before and this is the best one.
First, the selection is great. I found almost everything I needed. The layout makes sense, plants are grouped together (succulents, plants that require little water, fruit trees, etc). Add to that most plants are clearly labeled. You could do your own research. But why would you when there are such friendly staff.
The people here have been very insightful. They give you the facts and give awesome suggestions. All this with incredible pricing. I filled my trunk with 30 plants and spent less than $ 100. You would blow out $ 100 at OSH or Lowes and get less than half that amount. Make the trip, it’s worth it.

Sorry, but this place did us wrong. The staff and owner were nice before the job was completed, but now that it’s done we are completely disappointed. We had ordered decomposed granite paths and were told they were going to put a weed barrier beneath. Well guess what: we have weeds infesting all of our paths, which may cause us to dig up and redo the whole thing! This happened right on the tail of the same job order where they planted a $ 600 tree for us and staked it very carelessly. Up in La Crescenta the winds can be very forceful and the tree they planted for us was in danger of collapsing two weeks after they planted (if I didn’t tie it with a rope to a nearby wall). We discussed this with them and they claimed no responsibility. That’s two major jobs they really messed up. We can never in good conscience work with them again. We recommend you don’t, either.

Price is very good but lack of sales person. Only 1 person know the price…
If 1 sales person is with other customer, you got to wait until they finish.

This is a great family-​run business with a wonderful selection of plants. Give yourself plenty of time because there’s a lot to see! If you need any recommendations, Mario is always at hand and very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this place!

When searching for plants, come here first. They have a huge selection of plants and trees for local gardens. They can order plants for you, as well, if you know the exact plant you want.
There is staff who can discuss your plant needs. Their prices for 1 gallon are much better than the «garden centers» and «big box» stores. From experience, their prices are at least 50% lower and you get the size plant or tree you want, not just what the hardware store had shipped to them.
They sell to the public and you don’t need a resale license.

This place is awesome. I went to a few different nurseries and this was by far the best! Friendly staff that is happy to help. Best prices compared to other nurseries. And a huge selection of plants! My go to place from now on. Would defiantly recommend.

I had a great experience shopping at Paramount Nursery. I’m a homeowner, but they mostly service landscapers. They have big, healthy plants at very good prices. Mario, the supervisor, was very helpful with ideas for what might grow in different places in my yard. They carry the most popular plants, not unusual ones. I also bought planting mix at a very good price.

It’s place is primarily a wholesaler as they mostly deal in volume however they gladly help anybody. Great plants and better people. Every know an again a short wait happens but it seems its cause they are quickly filling a landscapers order. For these prices ill happily wait a few minutes.

I am with Natalie… I love this place too! Mario is wonderful so knowledge and helpful. The prices and selection are wonderful. I highly recommend Paramont to anyone looking for quality plants at a great price:)

I LOVE THIS PLACE… The staff is so friendly and helpful. I buy my husbands presents here in the form of gift cards… What a great selection and VERY REASONABLE PRICES. Home Depot can kiss my ass…
