I feel like the Sylmar/San Fernando area is a pretty underserved community. I find myself driving out to other cities if I ever want something good to eat or I’ll just end up at that Jack in the Box on Foothill like everyone else in this town. Seeing an event like this at the local park is great for the families who attend and the community as a whole. Hopefully it gains more popularity so it can draw more food trucks to be part of the event. Were the choices of food trucks limited? Yes! Was the food expensive? Well, that’s always expected. The experience alone is all worth it, for once I can say something cool happened in Sylmar… on a Tuesday. I’m not sure how much longer this little food truck event will go on for, crossing my fingers it doesn’t go anywhere anytime soon because only lord knows there’s only so many JumboJacks with cheese I can eat.
