Came into see a small place & a small buffet selection so i ordered off the menu. take out. Chose the staples of an all around meal. 4 things: 1. Pork Egg Roll — came with 2, smaller than i’m used to but the price to size ratio works & the taste was good in comparison to what it should taste like. 2. Fried Pork Dumplings — came with 8, also a lil smaller than I’ve seen but that taste was great along with the sauce that comes with it. 3. Fried Chicken Wings — came with 6 and was«6WingPieces» not whole or 2parts of a whole. They were small & bland. Not worth the price. 4. House Special Fried Rice — consisting of Shrimp, Pork, Chicken cooked with egg, onion, carrots, peas. Tastes good also but the portion size for price is disappointing. May have done better with the buffet option but ½ of what i ordered isn’t in the buffet selection. Blah

An extremely POOR example of Chinese food! We arrived at approximately 6pm for the buffet. The food was as if it was leftovers from lunch or the day before. There was very little to choose from and what there was to choose from was either cold or tough and chewy. The only thing my Wife and I was actually able to eat was the Boiled Shrimp that was kept on ice. The only problem with that was they only kept approximately 2 dozen or less in the tray and constantly every 10 minutes you’d have to ask them to bring out more. We went through that for over a hour. It’s like they didn’t want you to eat too many, but the shrimp was the only thing fit to eat… This other person says he travels a lot and it’s in his top 10 in the U.S., well evidently he’s never had REAL Chinese food because this was disgusting. My opinion, save your money and find elsewhere to eat.

We moved to Sylva a year ago, and Jade is our favorite Chinese here. The buffet has the standard dishes with some sushi too. I’ve traveled extensively and enjoy Asian food wherever I find it. This place is in my top 10 buffets for all over the U.S. The crab rangoons are particularly good. The ingredients always seem to be high quality such as the vegetables and meats. The sushi is fine as simple California rolls(no fresh raw fish). The desserts aren’t fancy, yet I enjoy the fruit and cookies. Best deal in WNC for the money. However like all buffets, you must come at the busy times to ensure hot and fresh food.

I’ve been eating here since it was China Dragon in Old Cullowhee. Once they moved, the food went downhill a little bit, but not enough to stop me from coming for lunch. What HAS finally made me stop going was the ever-rising price. It seems like almost every time I’ve gone this past year, the cost of the lunch buffet has gone up. It’s disappointing, but I can’t justify spending almost $ 10(after tip) for the buffet alone with a water when it used to be just $ 5.50.

I’ve eaten at Chinese places all across the country and this one really does have great food!

Everything I tried on the buffet was okay, except for the won-ton soup. My favorite was probably the black pepper chicken. The pepper steak was really tender.

Keep on driving… This restaurant does not serve good food. I do not understand what the locals see in this place, other than those who have never tasted good Chinese food. @Mark W, I agree with you completely. @Mark S, no it wasn’t a fluke — the food is poor. @Robert L, your description doesn’t match this place at all — the food is light years from delicious. Read his review, reverse everything said and it would be accurate. Like I said, if you want decent Chinese in these parts, keep on driving!

Good Chinese is hard to find in Western North Carolina. The Dragon offers a reasonably-priced buffet for lunch and dinner, with traditional American Chinese choices as well as sushi. They tend to be heavy on chicken, and few dishes are really spicy, even the ones labeled as such. It’s usually a good deal for the price. This place would rate 4 stars except that on my most recent visit the food was below par. It was busy as usual but the food seemed soggy and greasy, and some dishes were lukewarm. Hopefully that was a fluke, as it was always very good on several previous visits.
