Shirley’s Boutique

This boutique located in a century old building also happens to have one of the most cheerful old ladies in Dillsboro as owner and keeper. The boutique offers current and old clothing fashions for ladies. Shopping from this well displayed clothing in this boutique contained in a century old building is a worthwhile experience.

I really loved particularly talking to the store owner who gave us some great insight on why Dillsboro is so special. She told us that most of the buildings are over a hundred years old and that the historicity and authenticity of these places really draw tourists in who make this place their second home during the spring, and summer. Another asset of this place is the organization of her shop, and reasonable prices of her merchandise. All of the apparel I saw was neatly itemized, and the prices were cheaper than I expected. The only down side of this place is that it caters to women only specifically over twenty, so this demographic didn’t include me. In light of this, If you are a female over twenty, I still recommend stopping and talking to the store owner because she is a really loquacious person.

The owners of Shirley’s Boutique are fantastic individuals and were very welcoming to describe to our small group what’s special about Dillsboro, share their own unique stories and insights, and give us very helpful suggestions of what to visit and why. Many of the buildings in Dillsboro (including Shirley’s Boutique) are older than 100 years, which adds to the special charm in the town. Shirley’s Boutique itself was filled with wonderful merchandise for females, but I cannot critique the products much more than that. If you’re in the Sylva/​Dillsboro area, stop in at Shirley’s Boutique for a terrific opportunity to visit with some lovely individuals.
