although this place was an excellent location as in a walk to all and the room was very modern there are some issues with the room. First the the only air conditioner was in the bathroom and it was a small room size a/c so if you took a shower the a/c was in the bathroom making the rest of the room even warmer. Air was way too small for that size room. Second problem was we used the microwave and the shut off the room circuit breaker for the fridge/TV/microwave leaving us with out all three from 10 pm until we left the next morning at 9. Owner is not on the premises and when he was called we were told that there was nothing that could be done since the breaker box was in another room which was occupied.

What a rip off! 1950s style mostly resident motel«rehabbed» but NOT worth rates charged. We had 2 single rooms for one night in offseason, total charge $ 268. Most restaurants closed on Tues and Wed. Part-time manager, Karl, friendly and somewhat helpful, but doors need new, more secure locks, elec outlet in my son’s room didn’t work so no bedside light, neither of us had even plastic cups in the room, and mine didn’t have a wastebasket, 1⁄3 roll of toilet tissue provided. Few amenities in rooms(no facial tissue, hair dryer, toothpaste; soap was size of butter pat), tho they were clean and newly painted w new mattresses. But the pillows were the worst I’ve ever seen, mine like torpedoes – neither of us could use them. Small refrigerator kept making loud noises all night. In a small room. If rate was $ 70 or $ 80/night, would be ok, but this price for what you get, even near the lake, in this tiny out of the way town in offseason is ridiculous. However, the Spaghetti Factory restaurant was really good. Other better restaurants were closed in early May.
