Element 112

Wow. What an amazing experience. We did the chef’s table and every single bite was a treat. Plenty of food and exceptional service. Each course they brought out was something unique and tasted fantastic. Highly recommend this place!

Best meal ever! Do the tasting menu, you won’t be disappointed. Each course has amazing presentation as well as an explanation of how it was prepared. Even if they presented something I don’t normally like, it was still delectable. Everything is fresh and tastes so good, you’ll leave wanting to tell all of your friends about this unbelievable restaurant in Sylvania.

It’s my birthday dinner at element 112! This restaurant never disappoints. They brought out a sensory dish, watermelon, cherry tomato and feta, see picture! It’s to awaken our senses and it worked! We started with the guacamole, wedge salad and potato hash brown for appetizers. The guacamole was fresh with a spicy punch of jalapeño and cilantro. The wedge salad was light and contained creamy blue cheese and buttermilk. For the entrees, we ordered a juicy filet mignon and salmon with red skinned potatoes and asparagus marinated with fresh herbs. Despite our full stomachs, my table ordered two desserts: a strawberry cheesecake and chocolate pie. Just enough for each of us to have a few bites and clean our palates. Then when we thought we couldn’t eat anymore, we were treated to a truffle that tasted just like a drumstick! I had ordered the most amazing drink, Rayleigh Scattering. I have never tasted anything like it, I’m at a loss of words even how to describe it!

Came to Element 112 for a dinner with my wife and we both tried the chef tasting menu. The waitress seemed kind of out of her element describing the dishes and chef’s themes but the food was outstanding as was her service. My wife was concerned about courses that may have unusual proteins as she does not stray from chicken, pork, beef and white fish but she was very pleased as our courses were all delicious and didn’t stray off the traditional path. The entrée was a black cod that melted in my mouth. Wonderful wine list and by the glass selections. Hard to believe this place survives in Sylvania. We’ll be back.

I have dined here several times. The NYC trained chef is putting his heart on the plates. The technique is impressive comparable to many big city Michelin starred restaurants. What keeps me coming back to this restaurant is that the chef serves natural honest food with high precision and consistency! The price is ridiculously low considering what I was served. Their wine pairing is very well done as well. This is a hidden gem and I highly recommend this place.

Had a great experience here on Valentine’s weekend. Prix fixe dinner for Valentine’s; creative and flavorful dinner as always. Treated my S.O. and me very well… There was a mix up with our reservation, but suffice it to say they more than made it up to us.

Incredible food and dining experience worthy of a major U.S. city. My new favorite haunt.

Fantastic atmosphere coupled with fabulous food. The attention to detail with the wine pairings by the sommelier made for an incredible evening. Highly recommend to anyone with a sophisticated palate!

Atmosphere a bit stuffy. Food was expensive and menu limited. I wouldn’t mind expense if food wow’d me but it didn’t. Food was good but not great. Lack of flavor. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Who knew a restaurant this good existed in the Toledo area. This is probably one of my fave restaurant in the Toledo area. We got the tasting menu and every dish was delectable. Wish we were able to get more of the pumpkin dessert. The service was almost impeccable. We also met the chef who was so kind to give us a lil’ tour of his garden. I can’t wait to return to Element 112!

How can this restaurant not have a full 5 stars? Oh one person left them a bad review (that person also gave Mancy’s Italian 5 stars, so their opinion doesn’t count).
Element 112 gives you the fine dining experience of a big city like LA or NYC, without the crowds. I’ve only been here twice, both times there was only one or two other tables occupied. The wait staff is amazing, they clearly explain everything on the menu and every item that is bought to the table. The portions are small, but that is expected.
I recommend going with the chefs tasting menu. It is more expensive, but it’s well worth it!

Amazing food and atmosphere. We celebrated our anniversary here and they made it a memorable night with their attentive service and excellent food. The chocolate writing on the desert plate was an unexpected surprise!
The chefs tasting menu is the way to go. If it’s a weekend be prepared to spend some money and plan for about 2.5 hours for dinner, but it is worth it! Not a single dish was anything but perfect, even the macaron to end the evening had me wanting more. Portions were just right, left full but not overly so. Definitely recommend trying it at least once, it will be a place you talk about the rest of your life

By far the best meal I have ever had in Toledo and honestly one of the best meals I have had in awhile. Over the past few months I have had the opportunity to frequent Richard Blais’s (Top Chef) Juniper and Ivy in San Diego. While their décor and atmosphere beats Element 112, the best food goes to Element 112.
We did the chef’s tasting menu and not one dish was disappointing. The wine menu was equally impressive — it’s so nice to see a wine menu that isn’t stocked of the typical Gallos and Kundes of the world.
We will definitely become regulars here!

The food was excellent, absolutely wonderful. The only reason for not getting the 5^th star is the too precious service. The 20-​second description of each dish as it arrives to the table — replete with adjectives like «wonderfully delicious» — is just too much, especially given that the dishes are adequately described in the menu.
I might add that dessert service was S-​L-​O-​W AND that I was served caffeinated coffee — I write this review during a night of tossing and turning.
Don’t want to end on a bad note — it’s an excellent restaurant that could be 5 stars with some tweaks to the service.

Where I do I begin!!! This place is truly a gem if you love food and atmosphere then you MUST try this place next!!! From the light fixtures to the funky art on the wall. Yet
This is all pulled together with such class I was in heaven. Dining all around the world and knowing a thing or two about food I would say the chef knows what he is doing and his staff is unbelievable!!! Thank you Melony for for making our dining experience so memorable! Okay so back to the food review. my fiancé and I tried the tasting menu and both were so pleasantly surprised with all the fresh grown greens that are grown in house… To the amazing taste of vegetables that were all organic and you could taste how sweet they were. I mean full blown Italy style veggies. For the main dish we had the scallops which were dynamite with creamy corn. After that the dessert was out of this world lets just say we kicked our plates clean! Anyone would be a fool not try a bit of food heaven!

What a pleasant treat nestled in Toledo suburbia! Started off with oysters, not bad but a little briny for my taste, it felt like a mouth full of sea water. Easily neutralized with a squeeze of lemon though. Also had the farm egg which I wouldn’t bother with again, it was literally a hard boiled egg which was then fried. We enjoyed the Amish chicken and pork tenderloin for entrée. Both were excellent! Cooked perfectly, soft and tender meat and very flavorful! Would definitely recommend. Seemed they were understaffed so service was slow, but they were very accommodating.

The chef’s tasting menu was delightful! The best meal I’ve had in Toledo, and the price was reasonable – especially if you go on a Wednesday (half off bottles of wine).
My favorite dish was the gnocchi, but truly everything we ate was delicious and surprising.

I came to element112 for the second time last night, taking advantage of the 35 $ week night chef tasting menu. I was pleasantly surprised that the menu this time was even better than the first – another great feature of this restaurant: the rotating menu selections. We started off with potato stones, which seemed to be balls of mashed potatoes covered in a black crunchy material. No idea what it was, but I could have had 4 or 5 more of those. The highlight of the 5-​course meal was the catfish. Perfectly cooked and seasoned, it was definitely the best catfish I have ever had. To quote my lovely date, who had never had catfish before: «I’m going to be really pissed when I have catfish again and it doesn’t taste like this.»
Everything on the tasting menu was delicious, down to the desserts, which I normally never opt for. 35 $ is an absolute steal for what you are getting, so don’t hesitate to give this place a try!
