Clean, nice, great music and surprisingly the food is really good. Recommend it highly

This an excellent bowling alley. As an avid bowler myself, AMF Syosset really greases up the lanes perfectly. Not too much so the ball can break late into the opposite gutter, but not too little so the ball cannot spin at all. Other AMF’s on the island are very inconsistent with their oil patterns. This is high grade. I understand it’s an oil pattern not up to par with the pro’s, but this makes for a good«house pattern» during league play. Their prices can be a little cheaper, especially on Fridays, but it’s a good thing i don’t roll on the shabbos. Would have liked if they had the Monday Mayhem deal, Monday-Thursday, but it is what it is I suppose.

Nice place to bowl. Clean and well kept. Took the kids for the«Sunday Funday» special($ 8 for 2 hours of bowling). While they bowled I waited in the Bar area. The bartender was great. Friendly and(more importantly) he made a GREAT Long Island Iced Tea. Definitely worth going back.

Love coming here because they have great deals. Usually always have a great time, but the waitress tonight was very rude and unprofessional. I don’t like complaining but she was unbelievable.

One of my favorite alley’s on the island. They upgraded their screens long before other lane’s. I’m deducting a star for one of the ladies behind the counter who I had one of the worst customer service experiences with in my life. Everything asked of her was responded to with an attitude, slamming down shoes and groaning when asking for a ball for which they didn’t have a weight of in the ball return on ours or nearby lanes. I doubt she’s still working there. Most times I’ve come here this has been a non-issue though. Side note, I hate extreme bowling. It’s not any more fun and all you do is bowl worse because you can’t see. Why does this exist?

It’s a cute bowling alley. It’s great for a family day or even a bowling afternoon with the kids. Huge lanes, great arcade and the food is decent enough for bowling alley food.

This is an extremely poor excuse for a bowling alley. The bartender, Kelly, is not appropriately trained for the job at hand considering she denied THREE people drinks due to her lack of knowledge on how to appropriately check a valid ID and claimed they were«fake». And after the supervisor Don did not make the situation at hand any more pleasant by stating that they have no scanner to further check liscenses. All I know is a bowling alley where they do not serve alcohol to customers OFAGE is out of the question for me.

I have to admit that bowling alleys in Long Island put Queens to shame. This is one of the nicest bowling alleys that I have been to. I came in with the bf and a few friends on a Friday night and we did the $ 20 per person to bowl for a few hours. I think we got in like 5 – 6 games, but after that we were all pretty bowled out and were just making up creative ways to throw the ball down the lane seeing if they would really work haha. Anyways, this bowling alley is very beautiful and offers a lot. The lanes are very pretty because they glow in the dark and there are big screen TVs above the lanes. This worked out well as all the guys were able to check the basketball score while bowling. There was music videos on some of the other TVS, which I thought was cool. This bowling alley also offers food and drinks that a waiter will bring to you while you bowl. We ordered pitchers of beer and the waitress was very nice. She would even bring us new glasses after every pitcher which didn’t really matter to me. The food looked kind of average, but I dunno why you would order a full meal at a bowling alley anyway. We all had a great time, even though I was the worst bowler there!

it’s a nice bowling alley. Clean, modern, friendly. Of all the things that could possibly go wrong, they very rarely do. My husband bowls on a league, and it is not at all that unpleasant to sit and watch. They have banner up for different price break offers which seem pretty economical — bowling can get expensive. Its a nice place to spend a few hours with family or friends. My kids have had birthday parties here as well.

Love my local bowling alley! Many a night have we had one too many drinks, and decided that throwing some balls down an alley was the best idea ever. This AMF is very clean, and has a nice bar section — it’s not all that hopping unfortunately, but if you have your own group, they have a $ 20 all you can bowl till close, which is pretty decent if you’re looking to bowl for a while. They gave us a bunch of lanes as well which is convenient so you can play more games. So obviously I didn’t bring socks bc I was wearing sandals, and had no previous notion that I would end up bowling… SOCKSARE $ 3 — MINUS1STAR! Are you joking? That’s hella expensive for a cheap pair of socks from a vending machine. 300 over in Huntington gives out free socks. Service at the bowling station was good, but to get food… takes forever, even late at night. I’m sure when it’s busy, it must take forever. Their food section could improve. This prices are also really high for some fries or a burger. Their bar/drinks are not that strong, and are watered down, I guess you can’t expect much from the local bowling alley bar. Lesson learned. They really could work on their food/drinks portion of the establishment, the bowling part would get 4.5 stars from me. Over experience… decent. If you’re coming here for the bowling, do it. If you’re there for the drinks or food, I would walk over next door to the Wendy’s, the prices, and quality of your food sucks more than a fast food restaurant.

I have to admit that the bowling facility looks nice. The place is clean(most of the time), the lanes are okay, and the atmosphere is cozy as well. But, the service is just terrible. I went on a Monday afternoon with a bunch of my friends. When we went to ask for the Family Fun Pack, they said there were no lanes available. If my eyes weren’t mistaken, 60% of the bowling lanes were open. One of the workers said that they had a reservation and there was a party taking place«soon». Even though I couldn’t understand what party could possibly take up 60% of the lanes, I understood. After waiting for about 5 minutes, we started seeing different lanes empty out. We went up again and asked if there were lanes available. The worker we spoke to before got annoyed and had someone else come to talk to us. This worker told us that there were lanes open but we just couldn’t do that Family Fun Pack(2 hours of unlimited bowling for 54 dollars). We asked why and they said just because; all while there were other people in front of us getting lanes left and right. Even the family that came after us got a lane in about a minute. I was confused to say the least. They could not give us two lanes and they could not give us a clear reason as to why. But, in the end it all worked out. We found another bowling alley 1⁄5th of the price of this facility and we got to bowl for twice the amount of time. I don’t think I’m going back to Syosset Lanes.

It’s a suburban bowling alley. If you’re from the area you can apply whatever stereotype you associate with Syossetoans and it’s probably apt. The prices are fine, even on weekends, and actually, the prices are great at the bar, especially for mixed drinks. I’m pretty sure I got a top shelf martini or three for six bucks each. Here’s why I wouldn’t go back besides the fact that it’s a suburban bowling alley, it’s a bowling alley, and drinking at a suburban bowling alley on a Saturday night may be one of the more depressing things you can do besides writing a ranty review of that same suburban bowling alley: part of their Friday/Saturday night specials is to play a movie while you bowl. Is that not absolutely ludicrous to you?! Who watches a movie while you bowl?! Bowling, a marginal, forgotten, and let’s be honest, lame sport, is at the very least a chance to get some friends together for a few drinks and socialize! I’m going to sit there in between BOWLING to watch The Ring? To watch, Catch Me If You Can? Saw IV? Atrocious! I really hit rock bottom that night. Or just now.

Oh, to be a stereotypical Long Island teen on a saturday night. I admit to playing bowling in middle school every friday part as part of a league. Until they tore down my local for a Staples and CVS. Some call it urban sprawl, I call it having a the rucus of bar/lounge larger than ½ the alley. They had a crazy neon thing going for saturday night, which was fun. It came out to $ 75 split 5 ways for 2 games and shoes. I wasn’t crazy about going out halfway on the island to bowl, but this place is bigger and cleaner than Herrill(people included).

Any bowling alley where i can show up @ 9pm on a Saturday night and get a lane immediately and only pay $ 5.50 a game gets my vote. It was so clean and there werent any obnoxious people there. I’m used to paying $ 10 a game on weeknights @ crappy bowlmor. No thanks. I also got a free shirley temple. Go me. This place gets 2 thumbs up.

Huge facility. Updated and a little neon-y. Somewhat difficult for non-leaguers to get lanes on nights other than Saturday nights, but maybe that’s their creative way to get people to join leagues. Sneaky? The machines are a little finicky. One out of every three games or so you’ll have to buzz the people up front to help get those pesky pins fixed or a stuck ball out of the black hole… but that’s probably half the fun.

Local bowling joint. I’m not a big fan of bowling overall– I’ll throw a game or two but then I’m bored and want out. We popped in here on a whim and even though it was league night, the guy at the desk gave us a lane– which actually pissed off some of the league weenies. That being said, we did have a lot of fun and since we were right between two different leagues, I got to compare my score and lucky for them I wasn’t bowling against them as they weren’t that good — and neither am I! The place was clean and modern and had a nice little bar area where I could partake of some beers. I’d go back the next time the whim hits us — Big parking lot outside.
