High style Asian restaurant. Very beautifully crafted. Sushi always excellent. Kumomoto oysters are to die for. Excellent selection of Saki. It gets a large bar crowd early but it dies out quickly. Very expensive compared to other Sushi restaurants in the area who have the same top notch sushi. I guess you’re paying for the ambiance.

Love this place. Hands down the best sushi ever. This is the one place I can come and eat their sushi and never have to touch the soy sauce and wasabi. I usually order two signature rolls from them and«Sex on the Beach» is always one of them. The service here is impeccable. Every server in the place helps each other, from ordering drinks to asking you if you want the check, so they never miss a beat on anything. On top of that there is so much seating we have never had to wait for a table even without a reservation. Guaranteed good food and service every time.

Came here for a quick dinner before having to catch the train. The interior is incredibly beautiful… a very romantic & chic atmosphere. Sushi was excellent. Very fresh! Wait staff was attentive and really nice… will def come back!

I was skeptical at first because of my distaste of Sushi, but I was pleasantly surprised. They have a great 4 course lunch menu for $ 16(salad or soup, appetizer, side, rice, and entrée). Very plentiful and the ambiance was sleek and modern. Friendly service, and having hot wet napkins to wipe your hands is a nice touch. Having valet for lunch is a huge pet peeve of mine and it makes no sense to have it when the parking lot is so close to the building(reason for 4 star instead of 5).

I used to frequent Kashi in RVC a couple years ago, but then I stopped going because I found another go-to sushi spot. My friends and I decided to grab dinner here on a whim. Every special sushi roll on the menu sound very similar. It kinda gave me a headache looking and reading them again and again. When we got our rolls, they actually tasted very different. I guess 1 ingredient change can make a difference. The rolls were pretty big but this place is very expensive. I also don’t like that there’s only valet parking. Otherwise, a decent spot for a night out.

The presentation of the food was great. The takayama was my favorite. Having a good allergy to shellfish sucks. Glad there are other choices.

Great spot. Great food and drinks, fairly priced. Great city feel for staying on the island. If you haven’t gone, try it for sure.

Absolutely Amazing… I have to begin each review of any Sushi restaurant with two admissions. I am allergic to fish and I wouldn’t eat raw fish if I were not. My friends are huge fans of sushi and Japanese restaurants, so I end up attending many throughout Long Island. I have tried Kasha Huntington for dessert and drinks and I have had Akashi Hibachi in rockville center. Today I tried lunch at their Syosset location. Kasha’s syosset location is visually stunning. The clean modern lines and layout are impressive. The wine bar and center dining hall looks like something architect Richard Mier would design. Parking was Valet only, and this was something Im not a fan of. Considering the location, lack of street parking and parking lot, I have to say valet is the best option. The wait staff was courteous and available. Sushi restaurants in my experience have well trained attentive wait staffs. Kashi Syosset is no different. I usually order some combination off meat and shrimp tempura at sushi restaurants. So todays menu choices(Ribs and Shrimp) were not unusual. The result was an EARTHSHAKING, GAMECHANGINGSUPRISE!!! The Rock Shrimp appetizer with the accompanying sauce was surprisingly good. Fantastic in fact. However the Slow cooked Baby back ribs were an absolute surprise. This appetizer was one of the best spare rib dishes of any kind that I have had in my 40 plus years on the planet. I am a bit of a BBQ nut and have had BBQ in more places that I can recall. The sauce was an asian style with unusual(to me) spices, that was unique, flavorful, and beyond tasty. I really dont have the words to do them justice. I will say that Kashi does give you a bit less ribs than other places, and it would be great if they added 2 or 3 bones or created a larger lunch option. Some non sushi guests use the cooked appetizers as meals. Todays experience elevates kashi to one of my favorite places on Long Island. Feeling this way about a sushi restaurant will take adjustment. Absolutely amazing…

Trendy sushi spot in Syosset among the many in that area. Nice place to come on a Saturday night if you’re looking to get dressed up and dine out. Valet parking. I tried one of the signature rolls, American Dream. It was pretty good. For dessert, I had the vanilla Crème Brûlée with fresh fruit. It was a big serving. This can be split with two people.

Have eaten here many times for lunch and dinner. This is tonight’s dinner review. Tried the prix fix which for $ 30 is a four course deal: app, miso soup or salad, entrée and ice cream. Asked if there was a sub for the ice cream and the waitress told me for the«cheap price» there was nothing else they had. Really, cheap price … nice way to start the meal. Ordered a cocktail and then placed our dinner order which the waitress clearly would have preferred taking at the same time. So tried to ask the food runner what the sauce was with the spring roll(tasty) and we were told«spring roll sauce», you can’t make this stuff up. Miso soup and rock shrimp were great, as always. Salad could use some chopping to properly eat with chopsticks and not have lettuce sticking out of your mouth and they could be more generous than one teeny grape tomato and one sliver of jicama.. The sushi was elegantly served in a bowl with some sort of bright colored light under the shaved ice, nice visual. All the sushi was great but the tuna was too stringy. Had one water on table, now ¾ gone, asked for another water and waitress gave no thought to filling the near empty glass too. Got a look when I asked for more water, luckily the water ended up in the glass from the pitcher and not my lap. Waitress and another guy then ask if we want ice cream, really? Got check instead. Decent food, should be better for the price, service hit or miss, could do without the attitude when it’s a miss. But one of the better places in the area…

This was my second time at this restaurant. The service, drinks and food was delicious. Must try the Voodoo drink and paradise roll!

First off, the Kashi in Huntington is a thousand times better. There are also so many other sushi places in the area that are way better for ½ the price. The service we had was horrible. We came here on a friday night and it wasn’t crowded. Our waitress was extremely rude. She came over within 2 minutes of us sitting down and expected us to order entrees. She didn’t even ask if we wanted drinks. The sushi didn’t take that long to come out. She acted like we had to kiss up to her. Then after we were done eating, she never came back to give us the check and we had to ask another waitress for it. Sushi places aren’t known to have the best service, but with the prices you are paying here, the service should have been 50 times better. The sushi was ok. Not great. The waitress took our order wrong and gave us a tuna avocado roll instead of a tuna roll, which I didn’t like. I don’t like avocado and tuna together, also I had ordered a salmon avocado roll, so it was way too much mediocre tasting avocado for me. She came over and asked if it was ok knowing it was wrong, instead of just fixing it. Also, I ordered the bikini drink and it was supposed to have sugar on the rim but the sugar was all over the entire glass. It was also all pineapple juice. I would never ever return here. Not with all of the other great sushi places in the area.

Amazing dinner after my therapeutic shopping! So my friend who is a sushi lover wanted a place for sushi and I only agreed to go because I love miso soup. We didn’t see this place until the last minute and it’s a new spot so we decided to check it out. I must say that this place has turned me into a sushi lover also! It was beautiful and visually pleasing. The décor is very attractive and gives off a cool and positive vibe. NOT just the décor of this restaurant but they put a lot of work into the look and taste of the food. I thought the food was too pretty to eat lol!!! You’ll definitely get your money’s worth and the waiters are outstandingly friendly… They’ll even teach you how to use chop sticks if you’re having a hard time(like me). I’ll be back next week

Took the family out for sushi on a weekend. The place is very nicely decorated and clean. Getting a reservation for 7pm on a Saturday night was not difficult over the phone. Staff was wonderful and very attentive. Menu offered many choices for different tastes. The bottom line is that the sushi was very good; fish was definitely fresh. Will return for sure for dine-in and takeout as other sushi offerings on LI not impressive.

I came here hoping for good traditional sushi but was somewhat disappointed. This place has absolutely superb appetizers though. Try the petit filet … It literally melts in your mouth it was so tender. Very very petit portion though for 15. The kani salad was delicious and fresh and I highly recommend it as well. They have a very unique selection of apps. I didn’t try any specialty sushi rolls but I got a selection of nigiri sushi and wasn’t really happy with much of it, the tuna especially. And the tobiko sushi had a big piece of scallop that accidentally landed there… They made me a new one no problem but it definitely tells you this place seems to be more about fusion rolls and fancy apps and less about perfecting their sushi skills. The uni was very tasty, however, I think if I come here next time we will just order all appetizers! And sake, of course. The service was great. Our waiter was very polite and nice. We came on a weekday night and it was busy but not cramped. The interior is beautiful and modern. I loved the high ceilings and cozy booths by the window. I would like to come here again for the interesting and fresh appetizers but I honestly wouldn’t try their sushi again…

I went there with my friend Wednesday night. The interior is very modern and creates a nice ambiance. The sushi rolls tasted great, were made from good quality fish and also beautifully presented. The only disappointment was that they close at 10 on week days and we had to leave. Very pricey restaurant.

Met a friend here for lunch yesterday. We had been to many sushi restaurants in the area over the years and he recommended this relatively new place to me so we went. Starting with the room, this is a nice contemporary designed space. You may notice in my reviews that I applaud contemporary spaces. It’s time people. Update your spaces. Nice color scheme, open space, nice lighting fixtures. Do it. Then, the menu offered items that I didn’t know what they were. Nice. I didn’t just pick the same old things. I went with a «sushi lunch box» and made some express picks as we were a bit time constrained. It included a miso soup(of course) an American Dream Roll which had lobster within and crab on top(yum), two pieces of tuna sushi(OK, typical I know) and a crunch thing which was a small pile of that crunch stuff they put in the sushi rolls mixed with some mildly spice crab meat(interesting and pretty good). All that and a hot green tea. Lunch prices were very reasonable and I would definitely go back. Arigato.

Food: 5⁄5 Ambiance: 5⁄5(good date spot, but prepare for it to get really loud at night) Plating: 5⁄5 Service: 6⁄5(see below) Cat recommends: They have really good uni and quite good salmon… though it’s suspiciously extremely, extremely red. Cat suggests: Their lunch special is really good for the price: quality:quantity ratio! Came here with a friend and it came out to $ 20pp. Man, I’m so conflicted… I thought I knew sushi from living in the city, but I’ve gotta say that this Long Island lounge has it pretty good. Staff is professional and courteous(albeit a little lacking in the ability-to-speak-English department), and the décor is grand and gorgeous. I came without reservations on a Monday and the crowd was basically older businessmen/women who were in for a late lunch hour. My first time, however, was for a large family dinner, for which we ordered multiple appetizers to share and an entrée per person. Lunch: Their lunch special was really nice. My friend got the kitchen lunch special with salmon teriyaki and he loved it. I ordered the sushi lunch special and was really impressed with their freshness and flavor. I got the American Dream roll and really enjoyed it. Dinner: We ordered way too many appetizers to remember their names, but the one that stood out was the uni plate and caviar/filet mignon dish. I have no idea what it’s called, but there was caviar in a shell atop what looked like a mini Crystal Head vodka bottle(if you drink, you know what I’m talking about). The place was quite fancy and I rather enjoyed the food. Definitely love their food presentation, best I’ve seen at an Asian place in a while! And now for the mysterious 6th star for service… my aunt had eaten here before and really disliked her duck breast entrée because it was overcooked, so when I placed the order for that, I mentioned in passing that she had had that experience in the past. it was just an innocent comment, but the staff and kitchen took it quite seriously, it seemed. The manager came and brought out my entrée personally, and came by again to make sure I was satisfied with it. Later on the bill, it was noted that my dish was marked PAYATTENTION, SPECIALPREP and that the head chef himself had made my dish. They really went above and beyond to provide excellent service and yes, I did in fact love the entrée. It was cooked perfectly and seasoned wonderfully. Hats off to you for the excellent service, Kashi(:

The sushi here is great. All the cuts of fish are fresh and thick. The consistency was great across the board. They also have a wide selection with all offerings being readily in stock. On this note, Kashi serves sea urchin and it’s very good! They also have oysters. The restaurant has a sleek modern décor. It has a slight club feel. The wine cellar is visible on the second floor. All of the waitresses and busy boys have a strict dress code. It has a very urban vibe. All in all, Kashi offers a pleasant, upscale dining experience; just be prepared to pay for it!
