I wanted to write an update because the whitening hardly lasted a few months. The whitening pen didn’t do anything either.
The service was nice, so was she, but I feel I wasted my money.
I’m having better results with home remedies.

I really had a great experience! I was in the chair for about an hour and the yellowing on my teeth disappeared. It was definitely worth it. I had a pleasant experience and very professional. I will go back to modern smile.

Not crazy about the service I received with her. I came here with a Groupon but instead of 60-​minute teeth whitening, that I purchased, I only received 40min treatment time. I was disappointed for that reason. As one other person said here the results were barely noticeable and I think I would’ve achieved great results if we went the full treatment time. On the other hand I disagree with the other post here saying that it was too painful. It can be uncomfortable. People should know to expect that. Also, my visit was in a nice spa/​salon where she rents her room not in the basement of some salon as the other person said. The business establishment was nice, dentist was professional but I felt rushed and had we gone the full 60 minutes as we were supposed to I would have given her 5 stars.

I just signed up for a Unilocal account after seeing ModernSmile posting their Teeth Whitening special on Groupon. If I can stop only 1 person from using this woman I will consider it a success.
With that said, I had this teeth whitening procedure about 2.5 years ago when it first popped up on Groupon. The person’s name is Barbara and she is a Dentist that is doing the procedure in the basement of some Spa. I suppose she pays the owner of the place for some space. I should have realized that any reputable Dentist would have their own office and treat patients for other things. The procedure was quit long and I was in constant pain throughout the whole process. Maybe this isn’t the case for everyone, but my teeth were extremely sensitive to the laser light. Afterwards I was telling her that I was in a considerable amount of pain and the only thing she was interested in was selling me aftercare products. Like seriously… I’m in pain and you’re still trying to sell me more stuff???
The sensitivity lasted for about 3 weeks and luckily my teeth were back to normal. I bet you’re wondering by now why I haven’t discussed the actual whitening and how it worked. That’s because the whitening was barely noticeable. It was a waste of $ 149 and 30−60mins of my time.
If anyone or Unilocal wants proof of my purchase, I’d be happy to submit a copy of my purchased Groupon as validation.
