Bring your sense of adventure. you will need it to find this Nature Conservancy gem hidden behind the Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery. Turn in to the fish hatchery entrance and park your car. Get the key from the admission booth by giving them your license to hold onto. Head back towards the church and make a right up the hill to the upper parking lot. Walk southward along the path until you get to the entrance. The sanctuary is small, only fourteen acres but a pristine natural gem. The path is about 0.5 miles. Before leaving, check out the groves of laurel trees and rhododendrons that grace the gently sloping hillside. And don’t forget to bring the key back to the Admission booth.
