Michael is a true Gentlemen and professional. The experience is very refreshing with little intimidation. I am not a wine connoisseur, nor have I ever pretended to be, but I know what I like to drink, and what I believe tastes good(to me). Michael is more then willing to lend his expertise to turn you on to new grapes/blends/varieties which you may have not tried in the past. Clean, comfortable surrounding with an excellent selection. HIGHLY recommend! If you buy something you like, run back to buy more, because chances are, it will be gone.

Hi, I just came back from a wine class that my friends and I purchased on living social. I was hoping that this would be an amazing experience and that I would learn a lot about wine. Omg! We learned so much about the process of making wine, to understanding what you are actually tasting. Such as oak, rock, good acidity, focused, louder nose just to name a few terms. Mike(the owner) explained everything so well. He gave us folders with notes about the wines we were tasting. Then when you taste the wine, Mike helps you focus on what you are tasting. I began to understand what wines I liked and what wines I didn’t like it. Now I know what wines to serve with dinner, and how to actually buy the right bottle of wine. I think everyone should try this class. You will be surprised how much you didn’t know about wine. :)

Such a clever idea– getting to taste just about any bottle before you purchase! Beautiful wine boutique with great selections, and very knowledgable staff. I purchased a wine tasting from Living Social, and so glad I did. I had a private tasting with the owner Michael… great guy who knows his stuff… great experience!

My wife and I stopped in a few days after Christmas and were immediately taken by the friendliness of Mike, the owner. Someone had told us about the place and said we should try it. We did and we love it. They have some of the most interesting and delicious wines, all of which(well, almost all, screwtop wine cannot be tasted) you can taste before you buy. Mike asked us about our tastes in wine and in a few minutes, we were on a wine tasting tour around the world. While there are some quite expensive(and wonderful) wines, most of the wines are reasonably priced(for good wine, that is). He focuses on small producers and the quality of the wines is quite evident during the tasting. Mike recommended a Cava that was perfect for New Year’s Eve and inexpensive and we loved it. We left with a case of wine(including a couple of bottles of the Cava) and a plan to come back soon.

Great place to taste and buy wine. Excellent selection of 90 plus wines you can taste. Place uses the coravin wine opening system to keep the open bottles fresh. If your goal is to buy a magnum of yellow tail for $ 10 then I would head some place else. I’ve taken multiple friends here and they all love the ability to taste before buying. They have a few bottles not open for tasting due to screw caps. And some rarities like Sine Qua Non and Saxum for sale. Good first stop on a date night. They offer classes now which is also good for a date nite.

There was some mystery here when we drove by the first time. «Try before you buy»??? I was picturing wine tastings at bigger stores where they pour you a few cheap reds and whites and you buy the most tolerable one. And I was telling my wife there’s no way they use Coravins. And then we walk in and bam, surprise! Intimate, well-planned space, a bar with a few bottles, a well-curated list, and a Coravin. So you can literally taste from a dope wine bottle without the investment and regret if it’s not to your taste, and your tasting it doesn’t ruin the wine at all(argon, coravin, etc). Plus a down to earth somm who runs the place. This store has a home in Syosset but could thrive in the city too. Very cool. Definitely returning. Cheers.
