It was our son’s 24th birthday and my family walked into all the restaurants in that neighbourhood to see which one«smelled«the best and after talking to the waiter here unanimously picked this restaurant and we were not disappointed ! The food, the atmosphere and esp the service was fabulous. The waiter was amazing and told us that he would ask the chef to do whatever modifications we needed(like kick it up, cut out the cream if needed etc). We had a grand time and we will be going back soon as soon as another occasion arises

A group of us who have been friends for 50 years meet several times a year to share a meal and catch up. We went to Attilio’s last Monday. I am a long-time vegan, and usually end up having a salad and French fries, as that’s the only vegan option. Not this time! I talked with our server when we arrived, and he brought the chef out to talk with me. I ended up telling him to surprise me, as he was very aware of what eating a plant based diet means. I had a cup of delicious pasta Fagioli soup followed by an amazing pasta dish with a marinara sauce and grilled vegetables. I’m not sure who was happier, my friends or me. They always feel sad that I have such a hard time. The service and food were absolutely delicious. I will definitely be back!

Terrible. ordered what I thought was to be nice plain grilled pork chop, it came thin, overcooked and with the worse apple sauce nut dressing ever tasted. they forgot my salad… had a good glass of wine. Roasted peppers over plated enough for 4 people not one. Never again.

This Italian restaurant in Syracuse delivers with great food and great service in a real nice Northside Little Italy atmosphere. I like the bar, they have a nice wine by the glass list before dinner. Food is always delicious from antipasto salad to Pasta, entrée, and a tasty Italian cookie with coffee To finish. I bring business clients here about 6 times a year and they consistently make each visit an enjoyable one.

i ordered pasta with one meatball, one sausage and maranara. the meatball was way overcooked and tough the sausage was of poor quality — too much fat. the red sauce was not at all memorable. the price was not in relation to the quality…

My wife and I went for our anniversary. Never been there before. It was a bit noisy due to two big groups but that would be my only negative comment about the experience. The waiter was very good, the portions of food were very large I would say which is fine by me but my wife and I could have easily split a main chores. Would defiantly go there again.

I decided to come here based on the suggestion of a client. I came herewith 5 people. The service was great and i can say nothing bad. It was a Wednesday night and relatively slow. We ordered calamari which was ok, however the others at the table felt is was good. The stuffed banana peppers and greens were amazing. It did however take quite a while to get the appetizers. I ordered the haddock francaise which i would never recommend to anyone. I could taste the egg batter and the butter wine sauce was wine and flavorless. I have had francaise sauce and this was not good. Not to mention that the fish was battered with the skin still on the bottom side of the fillet. Other things ordered were pork chops that had this nasty brown gravy drizzled on top. The woman who ordered it said it was gross and didn’t eat it after 3 bites. The chicken meal with red peppers and mushrooms sauce was too rich and the other two had veal saltimboca and shrimp with del franco sauce i believe neither thought much of their meals. Basically this was nothing to sing home about. Its a great quick stop with ok food. Dessert i ordered the supposedly homemade chocolate cake with chocolate frosting drizzled with chocolate sauce. I opted to have strawberries and raspberries served on the side and an extra drizzle on caramel sauce. The cake was moist however the frosting tasted like the chef just bought a container of betty crocker and frosted the cake. The strawberries and raspberries weren’t fresh but thawed frozen variety. If you are looking fir upscale this place is not the place. Also when you walk in you have to walk through the bar to get to the dining area. Once in the dining area the noise is so loud from the bar that you can barely hear. Not the best but not the worst. Wont be back. When i eat out i really prefer better food than i can cook at home. This is not that place.

Dinner was very good! The bread at the beginning comes out warm with a plate for olive oil. We shared the hot peppers appetizer and it was really good and really spicy — great sauce to also dip the bread in afterwards! I had tortellini with pancetta and shrimp and asked to substitute the Alfredo sauce for pesto. It was really good. My friend has a salad with salmon and liked it as well. My only issue with the dinner was our server seemed really distracted — she had multiple tables and forgot a few things — we ordered second drinks and they didn’t come for awhile because she forgot and I ordered shrimp and she forgot. There was about 20 minutes between sitting down and ordering because I think she had several tables. I am definitely going back!

Traveling from Houston, my fiancé and I were married the morning before our evening visit to Attilio’s. I had chosen the place by research, and I hoped it lived up to the hype. We were greeted by Brian, our waiter. Since we had a cake with us, he, of course, asked what we were celebrating. When we replied our wedding, he lit up. He, too, had married his companion a while back and was pleased to help make our wedding day special and complete. And special it was! The food was incredible. I had the haddock francaise, my new husband had a pasta dish, and my brother, our best man/witness had the crab pasta special. The stuffed long peppers made a wonderful appetizer, and the bread was amazing. Brian brought our cake out, and then he took our picture as we cut it. Since there were only three of us, we asked Brian if he would like to keep the rest of the cake for him and the staff. He – and his co-workers – were delighted! He also said he would wrap up a big chunk to take home to his husband. What a lovely way to end our first day as a gay married couple(legal in NY, but not in Texas as I write this) by being royally served by another lovely gay husband, Brian – and being served a most delicious meal!

I came in late for dinner on a Friday night. The bar was hopping, playing great 60 – 70 music. I sat in dining room, it is subtle elegance — very nice. The service was exceptional and the steak was perfectly cooked. I «upped» to the Caesar Salad and it had fresh Anchovies, a very nice touch, tasty! I was very pleased with the experience. I highly recommend checking it out.

What a failure. When the bread, not baked in house is the highlight of the meal you have yet another absent owned restaurant in Syracuse. Firstly, this place is adorable, the bar anyway. Second, the Italian, fake tan female bartender is unfriendly and does NOT know how to make simple, classic cocktails like a Sidecar. Third, service leaves a lot to be desired, one sloppy waiter. Forth, the«food» and prices. For what they serve they should be ashamed of themselves for what they charge. My meal was gross and cold. My deep fried pork chops(the menu says baked but I am telling you they were DEEP fried) still raw in the middle. FAIL. The side of awful pasta, awful. No starch, flavorless and COLD. I for one will never step food in this place again. Do your research people.

Great Italian food. service is excellent, nice wine list. Started with the calamari salad and antipasto, both excellent. My beef Wellington was a treat, not often found on local menus. Looking forward to my next visit.

yes. This a great place for a martini and they have great bar food. Great for a Saturday night. I love their fried asparagus. I’ve also enjoyed the salads, spaghetti Bolognese and calamari. Who doesn’t like to eat outside in warm weather? There’s ample parking and plenty of outdoor seating here.

Tale of 8 were all happy with service and meal. After 7 years of two kids at Syracuse u. This is the best food in cues. Although lower restaurant at Jose’s is also very good. Had chicken Marseillaise. Stuffed chilies was not what we expected and was too messy. Overall very good

We have been to Attilio’s probably 4 – 5 times. The food is always good but not as good as Ilario’s or Julie’s Place. I named these competitors because of the similar price point. Service, however, needs improvement. While some waiters and waitresses are attentive, others are young and would rather gossip with one another behind the hostess station, watch the crowd in the bar area and flirt with some regulars. Our waitress last night seemed to want to join the crowd in the bar area instead of serving us. Service is always excellent at Ilario’s and Julie’s Place. Also, the noise level is so unpleasantly high. If you want to have a date night or just have a conversation with your friends, you would have to lean over and shout.

Love Attillio’s. It is my favorite Italian place in Syracuse. The ambience is very nice, the staff is great and the food is very good. My favorite dish is Haddock marinara made fra diavlo. They spice it up with Long hots. Ther is also a greta dish not on the menu that the owner Lou created. Ask for Lou’s pasta. Little half shells with a delicious slightly spicy meat sauce. Its unique and very tasty Great place for a business dinner or just eat at the bar.

Place is great. We went completely underdressed and unshowered and got great service, no idea what anyone else is bitching about. The lunch is an awesome deal — soup or salad and a large entrée for 8 bucks. We each upgraded the soup to a bowl($ 2) and it was gigantic. The soup and bread alone is enough food for lunch, and then you get an entrée on top of that. Chicken riggies, lasagna, and crab florentine soup were all good. Atmosphere is nice too.

Started out on a bad foot when we first sat down here. We were seated and immediately given our bread and dipping oil. Within 5 mins we knew what we wanted but waited and waited and waited some more for any form of life to approach us and announce themselves as our waiter/waitress. Place wasn’t busy by any means. 4 people congregated around the hostess podium while 1 waitress handled the tables. We were refused a window table because it was seating for four and we were just a couple. That was followed up 15 mins later with a couple being seated at the window seat by the person that told us it was only for groups of 4. All that aside… They have good food, so I gotta give credit where credit is due. Everything was delicious from the bread to the salad and to the delicious pasta dishes we ordered. They certainly stand up there with best that little Italy has to offer. Would be hesitant to try again because we were really annoyed by the sluggish service.

It was great! Food was amazing and staff was top notch. When you go to an Italian resturant be sure to order italian food. It was really a great experience.
