Chang Jiang

I have returned despite my best judgement and have found nothing to be changed, in fact, my health concerns were reinforced by this recent health dept inspection.
It is as bad as ever.

Cooked or prepared foods are subject to cross-​contamination from raw foods. Food not protected during storage, preparation, display, transportation and service, from potential sources of contamination (e.g., food uncovered, mislabeled, stored on floor, missing or inadequate sneeze guards, food containers double stacked). In use food dispensing utensils improperly stored. Single service items reused, improperly stored, dispensed, and not used when required. Wiping cloths dirty, not stored properly in sanitizing solutions. Food contact surfaces not washed, rinsed and sanitized after each use and following any time of operations when contamination may have occurred. Non-​food contact surfaces of equipment not clean. Floors, walls, ceilings, not smooth, properly constructed, in disrepair, dirty surfaces. Premises littered, unnecessary equipment and article present, living quarters no completely separated for food service operations, live animals, birds and pets not excluded. Toilet facilities inadequate, inconvenient, dirty, in disrepair, toilet paper missing, not self-​closing doors, missing hand wash signs… .
Inspector findings: Raw chicken in a tub stored next to cooked wontons stored in a container in the walk in cooler. Containers of egg drop soup and duck sauce stored on the floor in the walk in cooler (corrected). Cleaver used for processing food stored in crack between prep top cooler and adjacent table-​surface not sanitary… Premises littered with old newspaper, tin containers, broken unused equipment, and old paint cans. Employee toilet room not clean.

Usually get good food from there with no complaints. Tonight my kids order of chicken fingers were raw and they didn’t want to get me new order. Then she combined the raw order with new order. Disgutsed. Disappointed to say the least. Health department needs to take a look.

My friends and I stopped by for a quick lunch on our way to Toronto. Like all Chinese rest. It’s fast and quick. Hence: fast food. I ordered chicken n broccoli and a few appetizers. I was hungry… Everything was actually pretty good. I enjoyed the chicken n broccoli mostly cus fried food is, well fried food. With that said, if I ever happen to travel pass this place I would definitely make a quick stop here for lunch or dinner. Also combos are real cheap conpmared to nyc prices. Quality of food is certainly better as well. Therefore I give it a 4 star.

The staff do not speak English well so try to emphasize what you need. Who wouldn’t want to support a local restaurant?

I’ve loved this place since I was 6. I won’t eat Chinese food anywhere else. They’ve gone through multiple owners but the food has stayed the same. So many options and the service is great.

I love this place! I phone in my order and 15 mins later I pick up hot fresh Chinese fare as expected. The folks there don’t have a full command of the English language but they can deliver the goods. You want hot fresh Chinese food ready in 15, check out Chang Jiang!
