Outstanding customer service. Michael Gzik helped me in the store, showing me frames, and discussing my prescription with me as well. He also recommended I not purchase prescription eyewear at this time, due to my prescription being so weak. I followed his advice and went and bought some«cheaters» to use while reading and on my computer. So far this is working well but I’ll be getting the real deal soon enough. Anyone who puts the customer and their best interest before their profit margin is a 5 star operation in my book. Highly recommended for their great customer service.

I have been going to New York Optometric for years. They are always friendly, accommodating and go out of their way to assist me. They help me pick out glasses and I must try on about 50 pair — and they never make me feel like I am putting them out. I will also stop in for a repair and they assist me right away. I couldn’t recommend them more.

Came in today to find a person to fix my broken frame(screw was missing). Originally from California so I had used Unilocal to find an optometrist. Read the previous comment and just hoped for the best. Lo’ and behold, I was in and out within 5 minutes and he didn’t charge me a dime. Great place to go. Highly recommend it.

A good optometrist is hard to find — thank goodness for New York Optometric. I just moved to Syracuse, and I needed to get a pair of glasses adjusted — badly. I wasn’t able to find an optometrist through«normal» means(ie., asking around, searching for reviews, etc.), so I went to one that I had seen in Armory Square. When I realized that said place wasn’t going to work(see reviews for Spec’s), I complained to a friend, who recommended New York Optometric. I went straight over and found that they were slammed. It was during lunch hour, there were three or four groups of people looking at glasses, and there were only two people on staff. Despite this, they managed to handle each customer quickly and seamlessly, and I was in and out within 15 minutes. Lou, the owner, adjusted my difficult glasses with ease, and I’m finally able to wear them. AND he didn’t charge me a cent to do it(even though I had bought the glasses somewhere else). He waved as I left and said that if they didn’t work, to come back, and they’d be happy to take another look at them. And one thing’s for sure: I will definitely be back to New York Optometric.
