Oriental House of Syracuse

Great place to buy a bunch of Oriental products!!! Very organized small store! They sell great stuff over there!

Thank goodness for having this place within walking distance! Syracuse’s grocery options are somewhat limited when you don’t drive, so it’s nice to have a place to go to for hot pepper paste, miso, sweet potato noodles and other (mainly) Korean basics. Their freezer section seems pretty great, with a nice variety of dumplings, frozen fish and seafood.
They make their own kimchi, which, although I haven’t tried them all yet, is spicy, tangy and crunchy in all the right ways.
The place is small, so don’t expect too much, but you can definitely get the basics.
They also have a few shelves devoted to Indian, Jamaican and Thai items, so if you need paneer, ghee, banana ketchup or fish sauce, you’re in the right place.

Great buys for veggies and dumplings and other yummy Asian fare.
