A great queer bar. It feels like a family home even if your new to town. Good music and very friendly staff. They have pool, darts and volley ball. Nice outdoor smoking area. They have both a jukebox and a VJ. Highly recommended if you are in Syracuse..

I came here with 4 friends and had an absolute BLAST dancing, but I will say I was surprised by the lack of crowd, as I remember how crowded it used to get a few years back when I came more regularly. While the bartenders are friendly, I will say that when we started out at 10:00, our drinks were $ 5.00 and then miraculously climbed to $ 10.00 each within an hour or two. Ridiculous! They were good and strong though and we had a blast, so I’ll give them 4-​stars nonetheless, because price aside, it’s a nice, chill bar with friendly staff. I wish there were more feminine, lipstick lesbians who showed up though!

Rain Lounge is a great bar! Large enough, with great events going, and a well stocked bar
Love the patio area, for when the inside gets too crowded for my taste. My only complaints are that they only take cash at the bar, and that they are far from where I live!

Being this is the only real gay bar for the older crowd in Syracuse, it’s OK. It seems to be focused more on gay men than lesbians… largly male crowd. Nice size dance floor and outdoor patio… reasonable drink prices. However, the music is NOT ok… there’s nothing worse than hearing the top 40 countdown all night long.

A gay bar for grown-​ups! Some of the décor/​music/​vibe is a little cheesy but it’s 1000X classier than Trexx and more fun that Twist. I love the back porch and I always feel relaxed here. I’m not into the gay or bar scene, but I’m very glad I gave this place a shot. Just a bar that is gay friendly and has a pretty gay theme – none of the drama and sloppiness I’ve encountered elsewhere.

This was my first gay-​bar experience. The music was awesome, the drinks were priced right, and I had a great time dancing until 3 oclock in the morning. One of the speakers broke halfway through the night which was disappointing… but magically started working again during you guessed it… a Lady Gaga song. I wish we had a fun bar like this in Boston!
