Sam’s Chicken Land

Have been searching for some great fried chicken in the Syracuse area. Heard about Sam’s Chicken Land via another review on Unilocal and some referrals from friends. It’s location is off a side street near Solvay. Having never been there, we asked the employees for their suggestion. He recommended a three piece chicken dinner that comes with their seasoned fries and coleslaw. A dinner for under $ 8 is a great value anywhere. All of their chicken is cooked to order, so we waited about 15 minutes, but is was worth the wait. The chicken was very crispy and had tons of flavor, you could definitely taste how fresh it was. I would highly recommend this to friends. Sounds like they might be expanding their dining room in the near future. We will definitely be back!

I have gone to Sam’s several times. They have all sorts of yummy options. My favorites are the grilled chicken sub and the chicken fingers and fries. Ask for a side of gyro sauce!

Place is pretty great. Fast food, this is not — they make your chicken from scratch, and it takes a while, but it’s really goddamn good, so it’s worth it. Scalding hot, and super juicy. Only gripe is that everything was salty as hell, but maybe that was just a random occurrence.
