If you are looking for a tasty lunch downtown that is a bit easier on the wallet than the Armory Square locations, you can’t go wrong with Soup R Salads. I’ve been there multiple times and the place is clean, the staff recognizes regulars and the food is really good. I had a mulligatawny soup that was delicious and their deli sandwiches are very good. They have daily soup and salad specials as well as an entrée special. I seem to end up there on the chicken & biscuits days, which I haven’t tried, but judging by how many orders I see go out, are a very popular item. This isn’t a great place for a meeting; there aren’t many tables, it gets crowded and it is a bit loud, but it is really good for takeaway and friendly lunches.

I usually get salads here(southwest chicken salad is my fav), which are always great. Fresh ingredients & lots of good options. Today the tomato & vegetable soup looked good(I love tomato soup) so I got a small bowl of that also. Excellent! Definitely a great lunch option that is frequented by a good following of downtown workers.

This is the absolute best lunch place! The salads are delicious, and the sandwiches have tons of options and unique condiments like horsey mayo, chipotle mayo ect, but the soups is where this little gem downtown really shines. I recommend all of them! There are routinely vegetarian options as well as plenty for meat lovers — all homemade daily and full of complex delicious flavors! The cookies are a fantastic end to a delicious meal!

Great fresh food, awesome priceless and the ladies are a trip behind the counter! It has been the owners dream to own her own restaurant and it shows in the care she puts into everything. Awesome place for the professionals to grab lunch working downtown.
