Kept noticing this place never stopped on but glad I did ordered the special it was nicely filled with all the meat and fillings. More than enough and it’s different from the everyday boring fast food or a deli sandwich give this place a try it’s as close to Philly cheesesteak as getting it from Pats or Genos which are signature landmarks for Philly. And people who think Subway makes a cheesesteak make me laugh who I told about this gem I’m Eastwood

The atmosphere is alright for a cheesesteak joint, but they don’t make their cheesesteaks properly. A real cheesesteak is made with shaved ribeye that’s chopped on a flat cooking surface. This joint uses ground beef. You’re better off getting a cheesesteak at Heid’s.

Ordered there for lunch. The online menu we looked at had prices listed below the prices they actually charged. I got the cheese steak hoagie which was good but there wasn’t a lot of meat. A coworker and I also got chicken fingers. online they are listed as 4.95 with fries. We were charged 6.50 for 3 chicken fingers and a handful of soggy fries. Overall not all I was expecting as people i’ve spoken to have given good reviews.

As a person about to relocate to Syracuse, I got excited when I drove past a Taste of Philadelphia. When I went inside, all of the signs were still good – lots of old Philly décor, a simple menu of primarily cheesesteaks, and they had both Provolone and Wiz as options. Being someone who visits Philly a lot, I asked them if they also served Roast Pork and the guy looked at me like I had three heads. That aside, I got to my hotel room, unwrapped my cheesesteak and was pleased by the aroma. The bread was right, the cheese looked well distributed. But, when I bit into it, the steak was almost flavorless. And, even more disappointing was the quality of the meat. When I have steaks, I’m not used to little bits of gristle and blobs of fat. It was chopped finely like a Philly steak is done in Philly, but the quality of the meat just wasn’t there. I appreciate the effort and the idea of having a Philly place in Syracuse, but the execution won’t bring me back for a return visit.

Looking for a great Philly cheese steak in Syracuse? Then look no further. This is hands down the best! The chopped meat, cheese, fresh bread all make for a delicious experience. The Philadelphia themed décor just adds to the experience. The service is friendly and fast. Must try this the next time your craving the real thing!

Steak is hacked up into little pieces that fall out as you eat your sandwhich. i didn’t see mushrooms on it that i ordered. possibly compressed into it from the hacking job? American cheese is served not mozzarella. Meat is fatty too. Fries were good. Prices are a little high. Overall it’s ok

I love this steak. It’s no where to close to the Orginal Tony Luke’s or Geno’s in philadelphia. but for syracuse it is good enough. Not bad for the $ 6. It’s a one man show. So support these guys.

These guys make a pretty damn good cheesesteak but the sandwiches aren’t cheap, and they don’t give you water, so you have to buy an unwanted(in my case at least) drink. Over ten bucks out the door for what’s basically fast food? Eh.

Consistent cheesesteaks. I get the«special» without the sauce, which comes with onions, peppers, and mushrooms. As the other reviewer noted, their bread is squishy — a weak point. I don’t like the bread but come back all the time, just the same.

Why did I always think this place sold cheesecakes? Wrong. It’s cheesesteaks. For some reason, I got a craving for a cheesesteak. Probably from watching the Travel Channel constantly. I mentioned it to someone and they said they had heard good things about Taste of Philadelphia. Well it wasn’t long after that I was stopping in for a taste. I ordered a cheesesteak with provolone and onions. I have to admit, it’s my first cheesesteak as far as I can remember. At least Philly-style. Not too bad. I might go with the cheese wiz next time. Bread was very good though. Soft. Nice to know there’s a place like this in Syracuse. Unfortunately I’m not qualified to judge Philly cheesesteaks. But give it a shot and see for yourself.
