For Koreans that are from metropolitan areas Tous les Jours should not be anything new as this is a franchise. However, it is awesome that one opened up in upstate NY. The only difference from this Tous les Jours location compared to the ones I have been to in NYC is that they provide samples on some of their items. I think that is a good move on their part. In the past I bought items that I didn’t like and wished I knew beforehand what they tasted like. The downside with the samples was that I started to get full after sampling everything that was available :) Some negatives with this place is that they seemed to make only limited quantities of certain items. My guess is that they want to limit any waste for anything they don’t sell, but it was kind of ridiculous they ran out of certain things and didn’t have more in the back, mind you it was only 2pm… Overall nothing special about this place as it is similar to any other TLJ, but to customers who are unfamiliar with this place it seems to be quite a special experience for them. One funny instance is that I ordered patbingsoo and I kept having customers who passed by my table gaping at it and kept asking me questions on what that was. ^^ Definitely get it since summer is creeping up and this treat will cool you off.

Love the atmosphere in this french asian bakery. We enjoyed the chocolate and ham and cheese croissants. Service was fast and friendly. There are lots of outlets for those working in the café.

Sorry to be harsh, but everything we got(like 5 different things) were gross. Cheese donut, bla Sweet potato donut, bla Ham bread thing, bla I can’t even remember what else, we didn’t finish any of it. Go to Picasso’s instead!

Stop by to admire the beautiful pastries and cakes and pick up a bubble tea or a coffee and a few goodies. You won’t be sorry.

I love the concept of a place to grab a coffee and pastry to pass the time. The modern bright décor of place feels welcoming, along with the rows of glossy pastries. I had to take a few laps around the pastries to decide what I wanted. We ended up getting a pain au chocolat, crispy almond pastry, and a green tea macaroon. The pastries were airy and light. I also got a ice green tea latte, which I think was the best thing I got there. It is blended, so no green power stuck to the bottom of the cup. It was flavorful and not too sweet. I think this will quickly become a favorite place for an afternoon coffee and pastry.

It’s true that there’s nothing else quite like Tous les Jours, a French-Asian fusion bakery, anywhere in the Syracuse area. When you walk in, it immediately feels fancier than it is: the picture-perfect glossy pastries displayed behind glass, the modern décor, the bright lighting, the wooden trays and silver tongs, etc. It feels slightly more like a clothing boutique than a bakery, so it might not come as a surprise that the food, which is quite good, actually looks better than it tastes. That’s really not a criticism. The food is pleasant to look at, and that counts for something, right? Don’t we eat with our eyes first? We had a whipped cream bun, a pain au chocolat, a green tea macaroon, an iced green tea latte, and a coffee. The first two pastries were memorable mostly for their texture; they were light and crispy, exactly what you’d want. It’s the texture that sends you to the bakery — ’cause you can’t make these at home. Also memorable: they were only slightly sweet, which was a welcome surprise. The green tea macaroon was good, but less memorable. The iced green tea latte was rich and creamy, yet refreshing. Ever had one from Starbucks? If so, you know that the green tea powder never completely dissolves, and much of it falls to the bottom, leaving you to move your cup ’round-and-’round trying to mix it thoroughly. At Tous les Jours, they’re blended, so the problem is taken care of, as it should be. The coffee was coffee. Honestly, at a bakery like this, the coffee should be better. I’ll definitely go back, but probably not in a hurry. When I do go back, I’ll be sure to try other things. Everyone around had something that looked incredible; for instance, several people had a green tea shaved iced, which is a sight to see, and I instantly regretted not ordering one myself. Again, it’s the appearance of the food that gets you.

Tour Les Jours is a Korean café complete with culture defining pastry creations. The décor is modern but relaxing allowing you to settle into the unique atmosphere and enjoy your treats. The café portion offers your standard Americano and and latte variants as well as the newer craze of bubble tea; tapioca pearls optional. If you’re more the type to enjoy something frozen then you’ll be delighted to find that they also offer milkshakes. I tried the milk bread, curry bread, and green tea bread respectively. I thoroughly enjoyed each of them. The milk bread was truly reminiscent of fresh cream, and added a luscious nature to the bread in the form of a gooey center. The curry bread had the fixings of a reduced green curry within the confines of its crust, making it seem like a small meal within itself due to its savory flavor and heft. I saved the green tea bread for my dessert like treat, but by this time I had become thirsty, and ordered a chocolate milkshake. The milkshake was sadly more like a slushy than the creamy and decadent version many other ice cream shops have to offer for a lesser price. Finally, the green tea bread was something unexpected. Being an avid fan of green tea in all its forms, this offered a familiar flavor but with the accents of cream cheese and blueberry bringing it to another level. All in all, a very pleasing experience full of intrigue. Make sure to treat yourself to some bubble tea and pastries, and go with an empty stomach.

One word of advice… GO!!! It is so refreshing to finally have a place like this in Syracuse — this is a French bakery with Asian flair… you can find traditional French pastries like croissants and fruit tarts, or get a little more adventurous and try something like a sweet pumpkin donut or curry bun with potatoes(and other stuff) inside. This place is very inexpensive, considering all the pastries are freshly baked, and the staff is very sweet and helpful. You can ask them to make the bubble teas«slushy», so they are more like a Frappucino. I can’t get enough of this place and wish it much success! My favorites– whipped cream bun, cream cheese buns, curry bun, donuts, boba/bubble tea.

It is well noted that the French named Tour les Jours is a franchise of a Korean bakery chain. If I hadn’t known this small fact, I would have presumed it was a French style bakery. Indeed, there are pastries, cakes and breads galore presented very attractively in a self serve environment. What is the primary difference between this Korean bakery and the French, Italian, German etc… style bakeries that Americans are most accustomed and comfortable? The products are generally lighter, less sweet and use some ingredients which one may not associate with your morning donut and coffee routine. It’s time to break your routine ! Explore light flaky pastries with bean curd or curry or kimchi or eggs or hot dogs !! Want something more familiar yet still prepared in a different fashion, then try their cheese or cream or fruit filled delights. I have only touched the tip of the iceberg regarding their offerings. They have coffee cappuccino, espresso, bubble tea, macaroons, shaved ice with fruit. Everything is smartly displayed, clean and well illuminated. Their tasteful use of wooden accented shelves and display cases is warm and gives the customer a great view of all the baked goods. Generally, each display has a small identification cad which elucidates the name, ingredients, and calories of each tempting item. As mentioned, it is self service. After entering, grab a tray, line it with the accompanying wax paper, grab a metal tong and select your items at your leisure. To pay, or to get coffee or other beverage, proceed to the counter and then decide whether you want to eat in at one of their tables in the dining area or take it to go. This afternoon, there were plenty of customers seated at the tables. There was a nice, lively atmosphere filled with pleasant sounding conversation and laughter. Wi-Fi is free and a private parking lot offers plenty of space. If you don’t like this Korean bakery, try some in nearby Queens, NY, Ft. Lee, NJ or Toronto, Canada. My point is that this is a unique, welcome addition to Syracuse. If only they could do something about all the snow this town receives…

YAAAAAASSSS!!! This is a popular Korean chain bakery and I am so happy to see it here! It is quite popular in areas like NYC/NJ/LA etc and I’m glad to have the opportunity to enjoy in my Korean pastries! First– it’s super clean in there! You can tell the employees are always on top of things organizing and cleaning. Second: prices are actually decent for this area and be quality of baked goods third: it’s not your typical bakery– they have a variety of goods filled with kim Chee, curry, red bean etc. step out of your comfort zone and try it! They also have typical Korean bakery drinks such as boba tea. Fourth: have you seen their cakes?! They are not your typical fruit cakes they are extravagant and absolutely delicious! It’s something that isn’t offered anywhere else in Syracuse. It’s new, it’s unique, and its good! Try it out with an open mind!

Syracuse is gettin’ fancy! Tour Les Jours is a Korean bakery chain with a misleading French name, but not very misleading considering the best pastries in the world have a French origin. The bakeries are usually found in higher-populated Asian cities and neighborhoods so it kinda surprised me when I heard one had opened here. But happily surprised! Pastries start at $ 1.75, already higher than Asian supermarket prices. But the glaze justifies the price! All the fruit tarts, breads, and cream puffs have that shiny shiny glaze that are just so tempting. Everything is super buttery and delicious. Definitely give them a try!

Love love love it. I heard of this place through Unilocal then my professor brought some in for us to try: I knew it was destiny. This is my new favorite place in Syracuse! I will 100% be back– and often. And bring everyone I know here. Hells yea!!! The latte is amazing– perfect foam consistency! The pastries are beautiful fun and sweet and crunchy. All the things you want. It’s clean, fresh, and exciting. Go here ! Korean/French fusion… YES!

Love the variety of pastries. Just wished they tasted more like they were baked fresh since some of the pastries were hard. Tried the mango shaved ice and it was delicious. Just that some of the mangos were sour and still frozen. Lastly, the ambiance here is great; it’s cozy and clean. Overall, 4 stars!

This is a very cute, little bakery in the same location as Han’s Grocery(Asian Goods) and Secret Garden Restaurant. It is relatively new to the area, but features some unique Asian bakery products. The French name is a little bit confusing for me, but maybe there is something going on that I am unaware of. Food: We ordered a pretty good variety of things. Red Bean Roll(sweet + savory), Strawberry/Cream Pastry, Kimchee Roll(savory), and Curry Roll(also savory). All of them had great, fresh texture. A little bit chewy, but super soft and pillowy. Kind of like an angel farted and out came these bakery goods. In terms of flavor, they are most definitely unique. I cant say that I liked or disliked them. Honestly, I wouldn’t order any of them again. Not because they were bad, but simply because they were not really my jam. I would, however, love to come back and try some others, because although I wasn’t impressed with the food(yet), I have a feeling that there is something else there that I may really like — just have to find it. It is also important to note that they have some heavier fare as well. They do have some kolache-looking ‘hot dog things’. I would be interested to try one, but it really didn’t look that spectacular — just a glorified pig-in-a-blanket; but I’d be willing to split with someone just for a taste. Food: 3⁄5 Service: Extremely respectful, very subtle, but also very hospitable. They walked around and did their tasks, answered questions, were expedient with the cash-out process, very friendly, and smiled. I know, when did ‘smiling’ become something that I have to mention, right? It seemed to me like they all cared about what they were doing, and really helped elevate the experience with their hospitality. There was no remarkable service element; but I was very happy here. Service: 4⁄5 Atmosphere: one of the most calm, serene, and tranquil eateries I have ever been in. I want to live here. A lot of warm-colored woods mixed with modern metals and a general home-iness that I haven’t experienced in a while. I Just wanted to get my bakery good, a hot cup of something, curl up in the corner and not wake-up for 20 years(may be the weirdest thing I have written). Atmosphere: 5⁄5 Price: For a unique, lovely experience, I have to say that I feel like I got my money’s worth — even though I wasn’t totally jazzed about what I ordered. Being that this was a whole new type of cuisine, and a completely foreign experience, I am going to chalk it up to not really knowing the menu well enough to know what I should order. Price: 4⁄5 Final Thoughts: You must come here just to check it out. It may not be what you are used to, but that is a good thing! I am glad that I stopped by, and will likely go out of my way to come back here and try a couple new things and flavors that I have never experienced before.

Interesting bakery. Actually a chain, but drinks made here. Green tea latte more yummy than Starbucks! Shaved Ice like nothing i have ever had — i had the green tea, which came with ice cream, nuts, matcha, mochi, and sweet red bean — all on top of snow. Delicious but not too sweet! Two downs — ice took about 15 minutes to make. And there is no Wifi — otherwise I could see trading many of my Starbucks trips for here. Try it!

As I write this review I feel the urge to let my tears flow. My heart aches in happiness over what we have in Syracuse now. For those that haven’t known this amazingness then let me enlighten. They are an amazing Korean bakery chain that have been in the city for a long time(NYC). I have had it many times and loved it. The cream in their pastries are so good that you won’t want it to end. Are they priced high? Yes. But don’t let that sadden you, some things are so good its necessary. 2015 is a good year for this city! Thanks Mr. Han for another amazing store!

Wonderful little place to get a pastry and coffee. Also lots of savory treats too, like items with curry, kimchi, sausage, and pork. Seems so out of place in Syracuse. But this is a breath of fresh air in this town. The prices are good, everything is al a carte so, you can spend as little as 2 bucks. Coffee was slow, but it’s their 2nd week open, I can’t judge them on that yet. This is right across the street from the amazing Red Chili so, come on in for a coffee and treat!

I’ll keep the four star review, but it’s for the pastries and atmosphere. Bubble tea would probably get a 2.5 stars in my opinion. At $ 4.50, it’s probably one of the most expensive bubble teas that exist in Syracuse. Also, when I saw them make it, I didn’t actually see any«tea» go into it. Just powder, milk, and this sugar syrup. The flavor overall wasn’t bad, but it was so exorbitantly sweet that I went home, made my own black tea, and mixed it together. 100x better. Bubbles were sweet, but extremely hard. I won’t be getting bubble tea here unless I bring my own black tea along…

If you’re looking for a comfortable, homey, above-average Asian bakery in Syracuse, you have definitely found the right place. Tous les Jours is a South Korean franchise with bakeries located all over the US(From California to Texas to Syracuse). With a new location on Erie Boulevard, it seems like the perfect pit-stop for a grocery shopping day(you can shop at Price Chopper then get a quick snack or buy the next day’s breakfast here!). It’s also an ideal meeting place with adequate, comfortable seating. SAMPLES! I’m so excited to see that this bakery has samples out for almost every bread and pastry on display. It makes sense that you should be able to try something before you buy it! The samples are usually fresh, and the employees are always on the run, replacing depleted samples. For my first visit, I tried one of their savory sausage breads, and two macarons:(pb&j, and salted caramel). I will admit that I got the pb&j macaron solely for its’ aesthetics, but it turned out to be an enjoyable taste as well! I would definitely recommend the sausage bread to anyone who is here for a quick brunch or snack. At $ 2.50, I think this is the most«bang for your buck» item. Just don’t come here for the free samples and not buy anything afterwards ;)
