I for one, have never had a bad experience in the Tacoma Aldo! Every time I go into the store I immediately feel positive energy. The workers are phenomenal! I had once gone in for shoes for a special event and after I was obviously confused as to what I should get, two workers approached me asking if I needed any help. One of them a name I had forgot and the other the manager, Leah. They asked to see the outfit I planned on wearing and gave me perfect suggestions that I ended up following through on! Never have I had such interactive and helpful customer service! Now, aldo is a store I stop in every time I take a trip to the mall and every time I go in there Leah is usually working and is always such a delight to have a conversation with! I strongly recommend this store due to of course their great products and most importantly their wonderful staff!

Terrible store! AVOID at all costs! Hands down the worst customer service I have ever received, and the boots I purchased are highly disappointing as well. I seriously never want to do business with Aldo again, and if I did it would be for cheap jewelry or ties at another location. This may get long… I bought a pair of $ 129 Tyra boots from the Tacoma Mall location. I had previously purchased little things like accessories or ties, but this was my first actual shoe purchase. I bought then in late October. After wearing the boots not more than 4 times, the fronts are heavily scuffed(mind you, I am not wearing these to a construction site; I am a full time student who works for a computer company part time — and I’m a clean freak — so I don’t just carelessly mistreat my shoes). Then the fun stuff; the back heel support entirely collapsed while putting them on one day! Ok. So I now have a pair of $ 130 boots that I cannot wear. I return to the store, with original box, bag, and receipt, expecting to have them fixed or replaced. I mentioned to the lady working that I had no idea what was up with these boots falling apart so quickly, as I had only worn them a small amount of times, and inquired if maybe I had just gotten a bad pair. She looked at me like she was pissed off and said(verbatim!) «I’ve never heard of ANYONE having these problems. You’re the only one.» Ok. Pretty rude, but I’m going to remain professional. I explained the collapsed heel, and asked what they could do to fix or replace the boot. She again looked at me crooked and replied; «We’re not taking these back! Look at how scuffed they are… No. Not happening…» WOW. Again, keeping my composure, I replied«That’s fine, but what can you do to fix them?» She looked at me confused and stated that she didn’t understand what was wrong. I’m getting irritated. I repeated the problem with the collapsed heel support and held the boot up to show her how it was basically useless at this point; as it could obviously not be worn. I explained that I was simply trying to put the boot on when it completely just collapsed. Get this… She asks me(not joking — wish I was) if I had ever worn a pair of boots before. SERIOUSLY?! The audacity… At this point I’m pretty upset. She then has the gall to ask me to SHOWHERHOW I PUTTHEBOOTON… as if it was my fault they manufactured such a cheap, flimsy product!!! I happily demonstrated how the left boot worked just fine, and then showed her how useless the collapsed right boot was. She rolled her eyes and mumbled something to the effect of «mmm hmm»… and walked back to the register. Now get this… when I inquired about filing a complaint, I found out(to my dismay) that she was the STOREMANAGER! Let me repeat that; this was not some random high school kid working a cool temp job where they get a discount on clothes — this was the MANAGEROFTHESTORE. Yes, this is how the MANAGEROF A RETAILSTORE talks to customers — like they are utter idiots incapable of putting on their own shoes! Not to mention how the entire time she acted as if helping me was a chore. For the record, that’s your JOB — if you don’t like helping customers, work somewhere else! I followed up with the regional manager for this area, because I could not believe how such an incredibly rude and unprofessional woman could even be employed in a job where she interacts with people. The whole experience was completely appalling and ensured that I would not be doing business with this crappy company ever again. Oh, and in February, I had the wonderful realization that my boots can’t be worn in the rain, as they leak water through. After a mere 4 months of owning them and only wearing them occasionally. I’ve seriously never been so disappointed with a company in my life!
