We went here after graduation. We splurged and got the $ 179 three course for four. We started with2 heaping plates of appetizers. Then 4 sides, 2 steaks, chicken and shrimp. Then dessert with 3 scoops of ice cream 2 of their fried crepes, chocolate cake, and cherry crumble We loved every thing. They graciously packed up what we couldn’t eat. They were quick with everything water, drinks, food, service, and check. Yes I paid $ 235 for all the food and 4 cocktails. We were pleased and while I won’t do the three course dinner I will be back. Hopefully soon!

Two women who previously lived in Buenos Aires went in search of Argentine food on a recent trip to the Puget Sound area. We found Asado through Unilocal and thought all of the 4– and 5-star reviews indicated great Argentine food. However, our experience was less than stellar. First, let me say that the ambience is great — good music, comfortable seating, and a nice overall atmosphere. The servers were nice too, though we didn’t get a beverage that we ordered. No biggie for us though. We ordered the beef and lamb empanadas and the Parilla Mixta to share. The portions — two empanadas for $ 10 and a chorizo, two prawns, and a skewer of meat(about 5 – 6 oz of skirt steak) plus a side of polenta for $ 30 — were very small for the price. The prawns and polenta were perfect. The steak was very good but the seasoning was not quite right for asado. The empanadas were okay, but fried, which is rarely found in Argentina, and the chorizo was more like Mexican chorizo, way spicier than any Argentine would ever eat. We really wanted to like this restaurant, since the only really authentic Argentine restaurant in the Puget Sound area closed a few years ago. This wasn’t it, though. Good for Americanized Argentine food(which is why it gets 3 stars), but still not the real thing. Our search for good, authentic Argentine food continues.

My husband and I loved this place. One of the best steaks we have had at a restaurant, nicely paired with a salsa. I had the Cobb salad with mango and loved the fresh ingredients. We will be back! Interesting and delicious drink selections and a nice ambiance.

As close to the perfect meal as you can get! Authentic and top-notch menu with a friendly and attentive staff. All of the appetizers and main course dinners were awesome. The first thing you notice when you walk in is the amazing smell of smoke. Not overwhelming like some BBQ joints, but a very subtle aroma which lets you know you’re in for a real treat. Service is impeccable. Water and bread arrived within 30 seconds. Waiter came over and introduced himself in under 2 – 3 minutes. Menu is authentic and the quality of the meat is second to none. Wine menu is fairly priced and has nice variety. Quality doesn’t come cheap. Plan on spending $ 40-$ 50 per person if you have a few glasses of wine.

Had the app sampler. 3 apps, 1 entrée, 3 drinks = $ 98.00 Only con was having the garage style door up due to the hot day. Don’t sit at the booths. Uncomfortable back and my legs were stuck to the pleather.

My husband and I love Asado! Their lentils are to die for! On our last visit, he had the rib eye and I had the seabass. Both were delicious! The rib eye was cooked perfectly, as was the seabass. Not over and not under. We started with the chipotle crab cakes, which had the perfect amount of heat(spice) and the texture was spot on. We will definitely be returning!

My memory isn’t as fresh as it should be because it’s been a few weeks since I’ve eaten here. The food was great. I expected a typical Americanized restaurant that watered down the food to suit the average american taste. However, I was in for a surprise. My entrée(seafood) was spiced perfectly. Even after the meal was finished I was able to savor the lingering flavors.

Wow. What a place. Great ambiance! Steak was superbly cooked and well flavored. Wine was aromatic and went great with the steak. Very attentive servers and staff. Great menu selection. Nice sauces and sides for the dishes. Great started potato bread with chimmi churri butter. Definitely will be back! Bringing the cheesecake home for later!

We love eating here. We just enjoyed a very late lunch. The Poblano Polenta is excellent as I have enjoyed it in the past. The Filete Parrilla was very tender & perfectly cooked for me, as I prefer rare beef. My husband enjoyed the Chicken Picata with purple Peruvian mashed potatoes, that had such wonderful flavor. My plate also included Chorizo sausage & prawns with a smear of Chimichurri. Their Chimichurri is the best I’ve had anywhere. If you are looking for a great steak in Tacoma, WA, this is the place to come. Dinner time is usually very busy, so make a reservation. It gets noisier then too. We have enjoyed the more quieter afternoon to celebrate our anniversary.

I have been a long time patron of this establishment and have loved it every single time that I have ever gone. Food: Crab Cakes, Polenta, Steak, Steamed Clams, and Cocktails. That is just a small sampling of what you will find on the menu. No matter what you order, you will most likely love it. Staff: Best in the business. BOTTOMLINE.

Food and service were very good. Top class steaks and appetizers. However, despite it being out in the open area, with a bank of some sorts next door and open lights and cameras, we heard two separate vehicles broken in and items stolen while the owners were in the restaurant, of which one party was there for less than one hour. Tacoma’s always a risky bet but this kind of situation is ridiculous. Won’t be visiting anymore.

What a fun treasure. I was excited to try something totally different in regards to a cocktail, so I went with the Diablo martini with Habanero infused vodka… Fabulous The crab cakes were really good also, they didn’t have a bunch of filler. Our server/bar tender Sarah, was wonderful… The owner really found a treasure in hiring her

The atmosphere was pleasant, on the darker side, but not in a bad way. Some of the tables seemed close together, but most of them had decent spacing. I had the Salmon with Mushroom Risotto… it was amazing. I’ve always eaten salmon, as it is good; but here, it was outstanding. The combination of flavors and how it was cooked was perfect. I finished every last bite. I will definitely be going back!

Went there last night with my little squad and this was my third time. It was excellent and I was very satisfied. I can be very critical of my meals especially when it’s a higher scale restaurant. We were dressed like we just threw on some clothes and left the house which is exactly what we did and the service was great. Our server was the shit, she was dope and we had the chef come out to thank him. I will return. It’s one of my mother’s favorite places to go for great reasoning.

Just a random restaurant pick to end a great snowboarding day! And we were not disappointed. Came 15 minutes early, and seated right away. Got service quick. Our waiter so awesome. He asked me how I wanted my pork-loins and I said surprise me ! And he did a goon job because they came out amazing! The ceviche was a bit disappointing. Food presentation is beautiful, and the food is just as amazing. So much flavor! Asparagus was honestly the highlight next time I go there I might just order that(: Lightings dim. Date night type of place. There is valet parking for $ 5.00 I believe not sure since we just got street parking.

Valet– my friend and I both parked in a «valet section» of the parking lot and told we had to pay $ 5 cash to park there as its valet. Guy didn’t take our keys so we assumed we would just give them to him when ready to leave. Nope, he was nowhere to be found. We were assured our contribution went to a children’s hospital at least… Food– so delicious! Will definitely be going back for a ladies night again :)

Great place. Went during a weekday lunch time. I have heard about how great this place was and had my hopes up. I am in a crutch and both the server and the owner took me to a big table with ample space. Ordered a chicken and prawn entrée and food was delicious as well. Great service first and foremost. Great atmosphere and great food.

Stars are down due to the first few interactions with the staff. First, we had valet parked. Before entering, we observed the valet staff driving our car reverse very quickly into the parking spot and was stopped by the curb hitting the tire instead of braking in time. We immediately went in. Greeted by an unpleasant and unwelcoming hostess. We asked for the manager. We told the manager, John, about the situation and asked that our key be returned to us then. My wife and I had just got that car a month ago and came here because of receiving a gift certificate to this establishment from our BMW dealership. Not only did the reckless driving of the valet shock us, but also John, the manager, and his follow up to the situation was almost as shocking. He was not apologetic or sympathizing to the fact that his staff could have damaged our brand new vehicle. What baffles me more is the relationship with our dealership and Asado seems to be long standing, yet John did not ask to check on the car with us, give a sincere apology, and provide any consolation. Considering this establishment is supposed to be fine dining, the behavior of the manager does not reflect the image or reputation of Asado had made for itself. John also only checked in on us one more time and acted as if nothing ever happened and gave us a generic«hope you enjoyed your meal» as we were leaving. This was added insight into the lack of respect that the staff have for their patrons. Utterly disappointing and incredibly upsetting experience that ruined our evening.

Melt in your mouth steak, phenomenal cocktails, extraordinary desserts… this restaurant has all of these things and more. I really dig this establishment! The quality of food mixed with great service just makes this place wonderful! Recommendations for drinks: Diablo Martini(trust me, it’s great!) Recommendations for dinner: Lomillo(Hanger Steak) — tender, cooked to perfection cut of meat Espalda Asada(Flat Iron Steak) — thinner cut, tender and tasty! Side dish = Go with the Poblano Polenta. There is not a better side there in my opinion. Recommendation for dessert: Crêpes Fritas(again trust me, you won’t be disappointed if you like pistachio ice cream or Nutella.) Staff was very attentive, ambiance was cozy, food was fab and well if you can’t tell I really enjoyed my experience. It’s a must try for sure. I will definitely be coming back!
