We went here for a friend’s birthday dinner, a party of less than 10, it was a bit busy but customer service shouldn’t have been as horrible as it was. No one ever asked us if we needed anything not even drinks. We had to keep flagging any server we saw pass by and it would seem like they would try to avoid us. We didn’t even know who our server was. It took 45 min to get a mojito and a Mai tai and we had to ask several times. The food was good but for how horrible the service was it wasn’t worth the expensive price at all. I could’ve spent less at Applebee’s and got better and faster service. Literally had a different server for drinks, appetizers, main course, and checks. I understand it was busy but come on. We will never be coming back here.

I had breakfast at Bite and the food was okay but the service was exceptional. Samantha displayed an upbeat attitude and a beautiful smile that made my morning!

Five stars for the truffle Mac and cheese. I had almost given up ordering Mac and cheese at restaurants because it winds up bland somehow despite having 15 cheeses or whatever. It is a small portion for $ 17 but AMAZING. Otherwise the beet dish I got was alright(not epic but good) and service was good.

Had dinner to celebrate my son’s birthday. I must say for a restaurant of this caliber we were overall dissapointed. The server was nice and all but the food left something to be desired. The bread was hard and cold. We sent it back, but they just seemed to have popped it in the microwave. The salad was ok and the fish was dry. It seems to me that in such a fancy place there should be better food. Especially when your bill amounts to $ 300.

I was invited here on a date and I like free food, so everything was set to go well. This restaurant is located in a hotel in downtown Tacoma. It looks nice and features some pretty cool glass art. We walked up to the restaurant and were given a friendly greeting and seated by the window so we could have a view. I thought that was nice. I noticed there are quite a few weird digital art pieces in the restaurant that look like some kind of virtual porn star head shots. It’s very strange. Anyway, our waiter was an older gentlemen and he was very good. We ordered the cheese board, clam linguini, and halibut. I also also ordered a Moscow mule, which was very good. The cheese board was okay. It was basically three of the same cheeses with different ‘seasonings’ and a few meats. The problem I had was with my halibut dish. The halibut was cooked perfectly and tasted very good. However, there as a pile of greens on the plate crusted with dirt. That is no exaggeration. Can a girl get some washed salad? The edges were also brown, which is not that big of a deal, but reflects some serious laziness. Also, the pieces were just thrown on the plate and they were way to large to eat with a fork. Generally, that plate was a mess, including the mashed potatoes which were bland and way too thick. My date’s clam linguini was a big bowl of liquid. The wine in the sauce wasn’t cooked off completely, so it had a bitter flavor. I didn’t want to complain about my food, since I was on a date and it seemed like it would make a bad impression. I wouldn’t care much about Unilocaling my experience, but a bunch of dirt all over my plate is not cool. If you’re not going to wash the salad, what other standards are not being followed? At least the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. That’s the only reason Bite gets three stars.

One of my favorite upscale breakfast places in Tacoma. Usually hotel restaurants are the best places to eat; at least in my travels, but here at Hotel Murano that is definitely not the case. One of the best places to have egg benedict and of course their bacon is great too. The setting is upscale contemporary, quiet, and clean. The service has been above average or outstanding depends on whom is serving you and the food has consistently been very good and fast to the table. Yet I have never at anything else than breakfast here. I would probably put this as my number one breakfast place in Tacoma, but you will spend a little more than most places. But I guess you get what you pay for and it holds true for Bite.

Burgers are succulent, so as the medium rare rib eye stake(16 Oz), the filet mignon was good too. The setup is open and can be drafty, food took 45min at arrive. Overall quality is good.

I stayed at Hotel Murano while in town for the Washington State Bar Exam. Although I had a less-than-stellar experience at the hotel itself, I really enjoyed my dinner at Bite. Bite is not a place to come if your looking for a large menu, affordable prices, and generous portions. It’s quite the trendy restaurant(I mean, they call their happy hour appetizers«noshes” – need I say more?). Still, I was looking for a relaxing evening to take my mind off of my impending doom, and I thought a nice dinner at Bite would do the trick. When I walked in, I was greeted by a gentleman who led me to my table and provided me with a wine menu. Their wine menu was great. I settled on the Kiona Riesling, which I really enjoyed. As alluded to above, their dinner menu is on the limited side. For dinner, they essentially have three categories of food – meat, seafood, and vegetarian. Within each category, they have four dishes. While a number of those dishes sounded absolutely amazing(grilled ribeye? truffle mac and cheese? YUM!), I decided on the risotto, a vegetarian dish with spring peas, asparagus, and parmesan. The risotto was to die for. Risotto can be so tricky to execute – you have to make it creamy without being mushy, and rich without it being overly-dense. Bite nailed it. The vegetables were also done perfectly: they had a nice bite to them without being underdone. The salty shaved parmesan was the icing on the cake, so to speak. I just wish there had been a little more of it! As for the service, it was fantastic throughout the night. The server was very attentive and friendly. Oh, and the view is simply phenomenal. The restaurant is located on the fourth floor of the hotel, and, because it’s on a hill, you get gorgeous views of the city. If you’re staying at Hotel Murano or just live in the Tacoma area, Bite is certainly a place to consider for a classy evening(a date, perhaps?). I know if I’m ever in the area again, I’ll keep Bite in mind!

My friend and I went to eat lunch here and the food was amazing. Restaurant is in the murano hotel and is a hidden gem. The waiter was friendly and we ordered spicy chicken, truffle fries, mushroom soup, Blt salad and southwestern chicken salad. Everything was delicious and I was really impressed. we will be back again most of the things on the menu you can get during happy hour bonus!

Being a local foody I’ve tried just about every breakfast spot we have to offer on Saturdays. The Bite may have one of the best to offer! Menus small but everything is amazing. They actually use REAL eggs which is always a plus for me. Pancakes melt in your mouth.(Top Notch Staff)

Located on the fourth floor in Hotel Murano, Bite is a cute restaurant. We had a meeting in a side room where we also enjoyed dinner. I had the filet mignon with blue cheese, garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. Everything was wonderful. The potatoes were some of the best and the asparagus was cooked perfectly. The waiter was great and the service friendly. I would definitely go there again.

The Bite is a classy, exceptional restaurant. I would highly recommend the Bite if you are looking for a fancy dining experience. PROS: My fiancé and I have been there a few times. Each time, we were instantly seated. The design is beautiful. When you walk into Hotel Murano, you can tell that you are going somewhere high quality. The lighting in the restaurant is very calming. Staff is pretty attentive when we needed water or more bread. The menu is diverse. Salads, soups, burgers, pasta, etc. But each item has its own finesse. I remember the Beet Carpaccio and the Green Market salads. They were very lite, refreshing, delicious, flavorful, but at the same time, simple. The Grilled Tofu was another item I tried. It felt Asian, but with an American twist with soft chunks of butternut squash. We tried the blueberry bread pudding also. Very, very, very moist, sweet, delicious, I couldn’t stop licking the plate when no one was looking. CONS: The price. Ouch. It’s a bit much for the portions you get. If you eat like a Viking, this may not satisfy your needs. The seating is also a bit small if you are stuck in a shared seating situation with other customers. You will hear loud, awkward conversations of the customers next to you. Apparently, it’s a good date spot because we couldn’t help eavesdropping while waiting for our food. Overall, if you are looking for something fancy with portions that aren’t hard on your stomach, the Bite is a nice experience to enjoy.

With a group of 7, going out to eat is a challenge, especially in a new city. We decided to have dinner at Bite, which was in the hotel where we were staying. We were the only people in the dining room besides a table of two. I used the Unilocal check-in offer to get a free appetizer, and we chose the poutine, which I enjoyed. Unfortunately, the entrees took a long time, the fish was dry, and my tofu was tepid — I was too hungry to send it back. Our server kept forgetting to bring sugar and an iced tea. Overall a disappointment. Extra star for the great service we received at the bar when my husband and I stayed behind for a nightcap alone. Second shot is half off!

I had the opportunity to enjoy the raw oysters and cooked scallops this evening at the happy hour in the lounge. It was incredible. The food was very tastily paired with a Pinot Grigio. The barmaid’s service was first class. I will be back. F

Three may be generous… maybe not. The concepts are quite good, though the result is quite less than expected. Much of what I had was overdone/dry(mostly thinking if my salmon… and bread pudding). I noted this in other dishes, as well, including what may have been the«heaviest» black cod I’ve had. Delicacy is lost here. If you go, though, definitely check in! I used the«free appetizer» coupon for a fairly massive charcuterie board. While I delight in nearly can’t charcuterie(and doubly when free!), this was filled with typical(though tasty enough) salami and prosciutto and bland, uninteresting cheese… still…free and some other interesting pieces(like and apple champaign jam of some sort). Passable but pass.

I finally made it back to the Bite after 3 years. I used to be here a lot and things are still the same; great food, nice atmosphere and incredible service. Nice job Mayra! Had to order the eggs benefit with the cured ham, simply outstanding. Starbucks coffee always fresh. I’ll be back!

Place has become a favorite place to go to for breakfast for one reason, and one reason only, they have yummy Huckleberry Pancakes! If you haven;t had the Huckleberry pancakes, you dont know what your messing out on, the pancakes have always been cooked perfect, and get OJ with it of course. I have never been disappointed since I started coming here, so will be back plenty of more times as long as they keep the Huckleberry Pancakes on the menu!
