There’s not many brunch places around this location so this one I’d say is one of the better ones. Good service, great view and they have a full bar if you’re looking for a little fun added to your brunch.

Great breakfast place. They are often busy, but the staff are awesome; polite, prompt, and accommodating. My favorite is the smoked salmon omlet, which is not on the menu, so ask for it.

A real mixed bag in my opinion, real hit and miss. Service about a 2, sorta slow not real attentive, did not come for payment in a timely fashion, no syrup brought with pancakes, had to get up and seek someone out. Pancakes were good though. ice tea sorta week, wife said coffee not that good, her Reuben she said was pretty good, French fries sorta greasy and soggy. My home fried potatoes were really bad,$ 3.95 for maybe half a potato, and they were not cooked through all the way. Really bad compared to other establishments I frequent. I suggest taking them off the menu and only doing hash browns, if that’s the best you got.

breakfast with friends and we decided to try a new place … FABulous decision — service and food were top notch — we will be back!

This is a favorite go-to spot of ours! The food is great whether you are at the diner or bar. My favorite is the hot turkey sandwich(their homemade French fries are to die for) and their poutine and small salad in the bar off the happy hour menu is huge and filling. I highly recommend this place! The staff are always cheerful and ready to offer suggestions. The cooks are especially nice, too!

We had breakfast this morning here. It was good! My son had the Italian omelette my husband had the big breakast and my daughrer and i had a plain waffle. It was all great! I do wish they put powdered sugar on our waffles. I had seen on Unilocal how good the cinnamon rolls were but i didnt know they dont have them every day so i will have to go back to try them. My only criticism is the condiments on the table need to be cleaned some more and the floor under the counter where the food comes out was pretty dirty. But it is a beautiful quiet neighborhood and we will definitely go back.

Went in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The place is bigger on the inside, with a full bar around the corner. Sat in there and ordered 2 eggs, bacon, taters and toast, plus coffee. The coffee was cold. It was served in glass mugs which don’t hold heat. Hate that. Continuing in that vein the bar had a cold breeze blowing through it from time to time, which I didn’t like. On the other hand, the service was good and the food was fine. Good eggs and bacon any time of the day or night is nothing to sneer at. They played a lot of Johnny Cash on the radio, so that’s a bonus. I’ll try here again and maybe push it up a point if they turn up the heat.

This little diner is one of my local favorites. We live close by and this is our«go-to» when we don’t want to cook, which is pretty often. The food is always good, the help is friendly, and for us it’s just a comfy homey little place close to home to relax and eat good food. We’re burger fans and theirs are delicious. Even the bun is really yummy. The French fries are great but the sweet potato fries are my personal favorite. As much as I want to give my local fave five stars, I do need to withhold two stars for now. They lost one star for being slow and forgetting my ranch sauce until my fries were cold more than once, and taking my ice tea glass for a refill and forgetting to bring it back more than once. So don’t go if you’re in a hurry. It’s not an eat-and-run place. I had to withhold another star for the dessert situation. They are almost always out of dessert. I found out tonight that the baker only bakes once a week on Wednesdays. So if you come in and order dessert on a Tuesday, your dessert will be six days old. And that’s only if they have anything left. That’s not acceptable in my opinion. We went on Friday and ordered a piece of 2-day-old pecan pie. It was mediocre at best. In my opinion they’d do much better contracting their dessert from a local boutique baker three times a week so everything is fresh and delicious. Once they get their customer service issues corrected, and get some decent dessert in there, I’ll give them five stars.

This is an updated review for this restaurant. After a less than stellar first experience, we have been back twice and both times we have been impressed by the friendliness of the waitstaff and how the food tasted. After my first review, the manager reached out to me to make things right and encouraged us to try again and I am glad we did.

We went on an adventure on Sunday morning, and wound up here for breakfast. I got the greek scramble which was pretty excellent, and the hash browns which were just a hair under seasoned, but still quite delicious. My considerably better half got the biscuits and gravy which were a solid 3 out of 5. We were spoiled with amazing home made biscuits recently in St. Louis and this just didn’t quite cut the mustard. The gravy was standard gravy. I especially remember the pepper sticking out. Very standard biscuits and gravy to be honest. My greek scramble definitely stole the show. Overall a nice place with a cool view of Tacoma. Would come back(but not anytime soon, too many other places to explore and try!). Would not order the biscuits and gravy again.

Chicken piccata made with artichoke hearts and capers on top of fettuccine sounds pretty good right? It would have been, if my chicken were cooked correctly. Not only were a couple of pieces under done, but the breading was not browned. They must brown the flavorless breaded chicken on the flattop grill, because it had minimum markings of being cooked. Very unappetizing! The staff agreed that my chicken was questionable. The waitress asked if there was anything else I would like to order or have the piccata remade. I thought I would try the crab cakes. As I waited for the crab cake entrée, she offered a side salad. The salad was a nod to those that despise iceberg. It even had baby spinach and ridichio chillin’ in there like«Yo where’s the croutons?» So, my crab cakes were a huge disappointment! They were flavorless, mushy and filled with shredded carrot. I have never left 2 whole crab cakes on my plate before. My 2 sides were broccoli and baked potato, accompanying a dinner roll. I finished the potato, since it was the one thing I could improve the flavor. I’m sure this diner is spot on at breakfast and maybe lunch. Please chime in on any suggestions I should have tried.

This is local for me and I often come here with my kids for breakfast. Food and service are generally very good(this is a diner, not fine cuisine). Can’t comment on lunch or dinner as I don’t think I’ve ever been here after 11:00 am, but great for breakfast at least.

A suprisingly good diner in Tacoma! This place is nice and clean but has some fun, charming quirkiness from the staff. Steve got a hamburger which was very good and I got a very fine sized taco salad which wasn’t too big or too little! It was just right! They have a full bar here as well and I got a nice, cold IPA from off the tap. Steve got a Strawberry Margarita which had a good fruity taste to it but I thought it was a little on the weak side but Steve had no complaints. If there was any«issue«it was that but it wasn’t that important really since Steve did not see that as a complaint. We topped it all off with a slice of apple pie to share which was great!

When my brother and sister-in-law said at 8AM let’s go get some Bloody Mary’s and breakfast… I was thinking where are we going to go? We were in Tacoma suburbia. I’ve never had a Bloody Mary in the morning before. I was on vacation so why not? We got lucky and there were no lines. The servers were very nice and the portions were huge here. It’s a nice cozy diner. They have outdoor seating as well and a backroom for parties I’m guessing too. There’s a nice view since it overlooks the lake. Now about my Bloody Mary. Let me say it was one of the best I ever had. It had a pickled green bean, asparagus spear, cherry tomato, pearl onion, green olive and celery to go with it. You could hardly taste the alcohol in it but it’s definitely in there. I could feel it a bit after. Btw why does dad get an omelet and mom gets a mess??? Well it was certainly a delicious mess! Mom’s mess came with sausage, bacon, mushrooms, onions, green and red peppers, hash browns and cheddar cheese all scrambled together with your choice of toast. All for $ 10.95. The portion was huge and was scrambled well. I can never decide what I want so so this mess was perfect. And I personally like my omelet ingredients mixed in with the egg rather than just in between the egg folded over. I was stuffed but my sister in law said I have to try the cinnamon roll. Luckily we just got one cinnamon roll to share between four adults and one child. It wasn’t too sweet. The frosting was good, it was a cream cheese frosting so not too heavy. Definitely can’t wait to come back here again for another Bloody Mary.

With Browns Point Diner the view was great from where we were seated. It was a beautiful, sunny afternoon and we asked to be seated outside which we were at first, until another waitress came out to put us back in doors because there’s some kind of fine for sitting outside because outdoor seating was designated for the bar. Even though the seat in question was directly outside the restaurant. It took reminding the waitress twice for my husband to get his drink that he ordered as we were being seated. It took a while for them to even take our orders(in a half empty restaurant mind you), and that brings me into my biggest issue. While the food was good(nothing outstanding despite the prices), it was not worth the wait. We waited half an hour for them to bring us a basket of fries that we ordered… and we had to ask where our fries were at because, despite not going in outstandingly hungry, I was famished by the time I asked them about the fries. She came over and told us that they were frying right then and wouldn’t be much longer. I’m not a rocket scientist, but fries shouldn’t take a half hour. Most restaurants have them to you within minutes of ordering. The actual meal took another 15 minutes, and as I said, was mediocre. We will not visit again, which is a shame because we had two individuals rant and rave about what a great place it was. Clearly they aren’t too into keeping new customers coming.

What a beautiful day! However, a sad breakfast definitely ruined my morning. I was excited to try this diner with my boyfriend. We got seated in the back and the waitress was friendly. Anyways, she takes our order and I got the waffle breakfast and he got the Big Breakfast. Our food comes… and my waffle looked like the saddest waffle ever. It was thin and more on the small size. I was expecting a nice fluffy waffle you know… from a diner! I look at my sausages and they’re still linked together and fairly burnt. My breakfast included two eggs… both which looked undercooked. Yes, I know sunny side up eggs are supposed to be undercooked but not when the egg white is still clear. I then look at my boyfriend’s plate. His wasn’t any better. all 3 of his eggs were undercooked and his sausages were all burnt! Here’s the good part… His breakfast came with pancakes. The first one on top was half burnt and then he looked at the second one. It was pretty black! The chef tried to hide the burnt pancake with another pancake on top! I call the waitress over and show her our burnt food. She nicely asks what she can do for us. She asks us… she obviously doesn’t take initiative when she sees all this burnt food. I ask for new eggs and my boyfriend kindly asks for only one pancake even though he deserved to have more than half his meal redone… While we were paying the waitress was all friendly and enthusiastic saying«you guys are coming back right ?!»…I was like yea… No. We aren’t coming back. Look at the photos!

I don’t understand why this place isn’t packed! Came in on a Saturday about 1pm, very calm. Only 1 other couple in dining. LOVE the environment, casual old school dining. The menu is basic, with a few unique items. You can watch the cook and he was even suggesting items to us and telling us about items they make in house. We were so pleased with our food. Service and our meals 5 stars all the way. We will be back!

Place is pretty tasty! Service is a little lax but atmosphere is somewhere between cozy and upbeat. Get the bloody mary– you won’t be disappointed. Yum!

Best American Diner near Federal Way! Service was friendly and quick. I wasn’t pestered, but definitely kept up with from the time I walked in, to the time I paid. Everything tasted delicious. The food was made right when we ordered, and was very fresh. I definitely crave the food here often, and I am never disappointed when I come! Overall: 8⁄10

Service was great! The waiter and the waitress were super nice. My friend and I both got Eggs Benedict and it was just ok. The hash browns were undercooked and the hollandaise sauce was mediocre. We really wanted a cinnamon roll too but they had been sold out since 9:15 that morning and we went at 11:30.
