This place has so much potential but falls short in many areas! First of all, when you walk in the smell will hit you as you walk thru the door. The most recent time I visited it smelled like piss and feet. The time before that, feet, pizza, and some type of cleaning product. Always some combination of feet. WTH? The pricing has gone up since I was a kid, like around 33 cents per game now. Some of the games are newer and I see that they try to stay current with games from this generation(ie– Fruit Ninja, Deal or No deal). They need to do a better job of having a maintenance person on the floor who can make sure the games are working properly and not just stealing money. The pizza is great and I have seen some improvements with the menu options. The play area for the kids needs to be updated and there is no safe areas for the toddlers to play? I grew up on Chuckie cheese but it seems like they can easily be overrun by a place like Charlie Safari or anyone else. If you have 5 minutes and $ 20 to kill then this is the place to go. Luckily for Chuckie Cheese, its always rainy here and nothing much to do so they always stay busy. lol

Ever wonder what ground zero of a measles outbreak looks like? Well Chuck E Cheese is the place for you. I must compliment the management, they sprinkle arcade games throughout the floor that don’t work at all so that when you put your tokens into a machine that appears to function it eats those too! What a clever ruse. They are also the pinnacle of efficiency in that the highest«bonus» payout is 100 tickets. That’s equal to 10 tootsie rolls in what I like to call«Chuck Bucks». I can only surmise this is to keep those prizes worth 7500 tickets up on the top shelf where they belong. I only took my son there for the games for some quality time so I can’t speak on the food or service. All told, I ran into three machines that ate my tokens, three machines that were flashing error messages, two machines that just weren’t on, one machine that was out of tickets, one that for some reason said it couldn’t give out tickets, and one ticket redemption machine that kept saying«call for help». I’m going to Odyssey 1 next time.

I’m really sad to have to re-rate this establishment. For months we’d been having decent experiences here. My daughter is an avid Chuck E Cheese fan so naturally when her birthday rolled around we decided to celebrate with the Mouse. Weeks in advance I called in to their reservation phone number and tried to make a reservation for my daughter and the small group that would be joining her(4 of her family members). They told me over the phone that the party was too small to make a reservation and to just«walk in and buy a cake». My main concern was that Chuck E would come out to greet my daughter and that she would get her birthday tiara and cape. To my shock when we arrived on her birthday(as the people over the phone told us to do) we found that the manager there(a middle aged woman) was not accustom to walk in birthday parties. My wife requested to buy two cakes, two pizzas, drinks for the party and the tiara and cape which Chuck E Cheese had been advertising to our daughter over Nick Jr for months. The woman then began to argue with my wife for nearly ten minutes how she could not sell my wife the plastic tiara or thinly sewn cape as we had not reserved our party. My wife continued telling her that her own company had told us twice over the phone that our party was too small and that we could just walk in and have a party set up on the spot. Eventually the manager broke down and allowed my wife to buy the items in question but only after 10 minutes of continuous arguing. The party then went as planned but the damage was already done. My daughter had witnessed this woman try and not give her a party. Within a week I passed by my daughter as she was playing with her toys saying«my birthday party annoyed people, no we don’t want a birthday party it’s annoying.» My daughter continues to like Chuck E but I can tell there is a sense of betrayal in her where she now feels that Chuck E thinks her birthday was annoying. I’m at a loss now. She still likes Chuck E so taking him out of her life would only hurt her more but I can now never take her back to this location as I’m appalled and shocked at how the manager there could ruin a four year old child’s birthday in front of her face over a simple piece of plastic and a wispy piece of cloth.

Huge place! First CEC with wifi that I have been to. The food is decent and the salad bar is refreshed when low. The soda bank has a lot of choices. The games cost one token each. The security is not air tight but satisfactory. Did not wait very long for food even on a Saturday afternoon. Great day with the kids!

I’ve been here and had low expectations, but unfortunately it just always gets worse. Last visit it took over an hour to get very simple food. The manager actually told us that she was on break and couldn’t help up. That was pretty awesome. The kids have fun, and you don’t have to clean up, that’s about the only plus to this place.

My 16 year old daughter and her boyfriend had planned a special fun night at Chuck E Cleese for his 6 year old sister. I checked the website before coming to ensure there weren’t any restrictions for teens coming with younger children. There were none. After making the 25 mile drive, the greeter at the door said they couldn’t stay without a parent. When I went in to talk to the manager, she was taking food orders and wasn’t able to have a professional conversation with me. When I pushed back about this surprise restriction, she told me it was the«rules and was posted on the door» and admitted she’s never looked at the website. She wanted to get rid of me quickly because a line was forming so she gave us some free tokens for«our misunderstanding». I told her that posting it on the door was useless after driving 25 miles, the teens were old enough to drive and babysit and go to the mall by themselves but not to a restaurant??? This rule makes no sense. These kids are excellent, responsible students. So now that I am forced to be held hostage in this restaurant, here is my review: 1. There is no parental control or guidance obvious anywhere. Parents are totally checked out and their kids are running amok. 2. The available tables were dirty and disgusting. 3. There was spilled soda on the floor by the soda machines. 4. The fun, interactive gross motor type games from years past have been replaced with electronic arcade style games that you can find in any chain restaurant. 5. The kids say the pizza is good, but they could have had good pizza at any restaurant with arcade games. 6. Oh and most disappointing of all, for the big deal Chuck E Cheese makes about security, they never bothered to hand stamp me, so apparently my teens could LEAVE the restaurant with a 6 year old without a parent they just couldn’t eat and play arcade games. Overall a very disappointing experience on many levels but I guess not surprising for a restaurant managed and staffed by kids.

This is the first time I’ve been here and the first time bringing my 4 and 6 yr old grandkids. Very impressed with the courteous staff and security. Sure, it’s a bit pricey, but the kids love it! I can see why they offer wine and beer for the adults!

Saturday, expecting mad house! I was not expecting no place to sit, tables with food, soda and cake on every table, could I sit or was it someone elses. After 45 minutes waiting for pizza I asked manager how long it would take she said 45mins, 1 hour later 2 starving kids we finally got our cold barely 2 topping pizza! I WILLNEVERGOBACK, WORST $ 30 experience EVER

I LOVED going to chuck e cheese as a kid. They HAD a ball pit, tubes, and slides. Now they only have arcade games and birthday seating. The majority of the games i saw were 1 token each which I thought was a good deal until I got to the ticket pay out of about 4 – 6 tickets per token. I spent $ 10 on tokens and walked away with roughly 170 tickets which bought me 17 smarties. The other prizes around the 170 range were either more candy or chuck e cheese brand items. While I was there I got a personal pizza because I was hungry. It took them an hour to make the pizza. I wish I was exaggerating, I looked at the receipt and at the clock on my cell phone. When they brought it out I did not get an apology for taking so long. I even asked the waitress why it took so long and she said«we had a big birthday party and they get priority first. She offered a refund but at that point I didnt want to argue or waste any more time. I was hungry and didnt know if they would allow me to keep the pizza after the refund or not so I ended the conversation with her. I ate the pizza and it tasted like cardboard! I am not kidding. I thankfully had a few slices of pepperoni on it or it would have been completely uneatable. I understand parties get priority, they are on a time table but at least offer something to the customer and an apology if they wait an hour rather then waiting for them to complain. I wasn’t even informed that they had a back order of pizzas when I ordered. Next time I want to play some arcade games I will go to Odyssey 1 or Dorkys. Pro — It has an established name to it Con — Everything else.

My oldest chose to come here today for her birthday. I had never been to this location before since we just moved to the area. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and open the place was. Lots of room between the games, not like I normally see at different chuck e. cheese’s. We bought some tokens and found a place to sit. There were plenty of places to sit, even at 4:30p on a Saturday. Now if we didn’t order food here, my rating would have been much higher but the problems started when we ordered food. I placed my order a few minutes to 7p for a small sausage pizza and unlimited salad bar with chicken. We got 2 fountain drinks as well. I went to get the drinks and that area was filthy with drinks spilled all over, floor was wet, and there were barely any lids left. While I was filling my drinks, I overheard a lady saying that it was a 30 minute wait for food and I asked her about it since no one had told me that when I placed my order. So I found my seat and waited. My chicken that was for my salad came out about 5 minutes later and the server said the pizza would be out later. My kids kept coming to the table asking about the food. It was now 7:45p and I decided to go check on the pizza. I told the person it was 47 minutes now and our food had still not arrived. She asked what I ordered and I said a small sausage pizza and then she went in the back to look for it. A different older lady came back and again asked what I had ordered which I said again a small sausage pizza. She said they didn’t have small pizzas so I look at the menu posted on the wall and excuse me, but it is called an individual pizza. So the pizza sizes are individual, medium, and large. Come on, she knew what I ordered. So she said that the pizza will be made and brought out in a few minutes. Another 10 minutes go by and she personally delivers the pizza. I ask what the hold-up was and she says she has no idea, leaves it at that, and walks away. I understand mistakes happen, but own the mistake, and make it right. So I now went to go get the salad bar and the options were plentiful and looked fresh. The problem was with the floor right in front of the salad bar. Each time I stopped to get a topping, my flip-flop literally stuck to the floor – like completely stuck where I had to use force to get it loose. So all in all, if we had not ordered food I would have given this visit a much better rating. Something to remember for next time.

I always tell people that they are asking for it if they go to Chuck E. Cheese Friday-Sunday, so I knew it would be a mad house tonight, but I had a friends kid over, and I knew how badly he wanted to go to Chuck E. Cheese, since he’d never been to one before. At first I was not happy because I was having issues getting my coupon to load, called a few friends, and it was not loading on their computers either, but we got that fixed. When we got there this lady stamped all of our hands, and then stamped a strangers hand behind us with the same number, and I told her that he was not with us, and she acted like we were joking with her. The man told her that he stepped out, but was coming back in, she was oh, ok then, and let a stranger with our number stamped on his arm walk off, AREYOUCLUELESS, some man that I don’t know is walking around with the same number stamped to my kids hands, which means, he could walk off with them if he wanted to, so I was more stressed, and had to keep and extra close eye on my kids, just as a precaution, but really how hard would it have been to cover the old number, and just give us a new one? It got chaotic, as I knew it would, and a women who was running the floor was getting a little frazzled/stressed out, and I saw some employees give her a little grief, like they were reluctant to help out. I did however see two young women who did not let the stress of the chaos get to them, they took everything in stride, and kept fairly cool if you ask me. Anna was one of them, she took our orders, and was very friendly, she was able to transition from one job to the other without any issues. The other one was AzchRenne(I had to ask her to write her name down for me), now she really impressed me: No matter how busy or chaotic it got, she was there with a very upbeat attitude, she went with the flow, and didn’t let anything get her worked up, or stressed, she was incredibly nice, and not the fake kind of «I’m just being nice to you because I have to kind of nice», no she was genuinely nice. The way that AzchRenne interacted with the customers shows that she has some great potential; I can see her managing, or being a team leader someday, and if she ever sees this, and ever needs a reference. referral someday, just message me, because there is something truly special with the way she treats people, and not a lot of people have that special trait as naturally as she does these days, job very well done.

My Bestie and I took the kids here on Saturday. It was the best indoor activity that we could go to while it was raining and just let the kids run and have fun. I have been eying this location since they remolded last year. I drive past it almost every weekend on my way to the Star Lite Swap Meet(which is btw an awesome place to go bargain hunting.) Anyway I have been to the Bellevue location several time and its always crowded and there isn’t much to do. This location was also crowded with about 7 birthday parties going on at the same time. But it was Saturday so I’m not surprised. There are two floors. The upstairs has been turned into a dining area now. Which is kinda cool cause you can look out over the entire play area and keep an eye on your rug rat. It took me awhile to find a clear table for us and the kiddies and probably about 45 minutes for the pizza to arrive. The pizza was hot and cheesy so that’s all that matters. After I ate I went to explore with my Sweets there are alot more games here and some really great rides, such as the giant rocking horse ride that the girls just loved. There still is ski ball and basket ball and then there is one game/ride I thought was interesting. Its a running machine but its shaped like a circle and the kids get in it and start running as fast as their little legs can carry them. I don’t remember it giving tickets but they loved it. I know it bugs some people when kids run around without an adult and it used to bother me. I let my kids run around with rules of coarse stay away from the parties, wait your turn, watch where your going, don’t run and don’t climb on machines, especially if they are in motion. As long as they follow these rules they have fun and so do I. Well I guess some parents never thought to teach their kids some manners. This is the reason my boy friend hates coming with us. Numerous times I’ve watched kids take others kids tokens, bang on and climb all over the machines, cut in line and flat out run full speed ahead into me then take off with out a hint of remorse. These are the kids who ruin it for everyone. I guess the behavior matches the slogan, «Where a kid can be a kid.» Anyway with all that said the kids and I had a wonderful time aside from my five year old spitting on other kids in the jingle gym. I am very sorry if your kids was a victim of my child’s complete disregard for others at the time. He didn’t get to pick a prize that trip… But the kids and I will return we love this location.

The kid loves this place, so that pretty much seals the deal for me. I see some adults flipping out because they don’t have the ball pit, or the food tastes bad. Come on guys, no one is going there to eat, your kid loves the pizza, he loves the tokens, he loves getting tickets and something really crappy and overpriced at the ticket counter. As a parent and an adult you dislike it, but its not really about us is it? Great for a rainy day activity when you just need to get out of the house.

Pizza is borderline awful, tons of random two year olds wandering with no parents, half the games were out of order and of the half that did work, half of those weren’t not giving out tickets when you would win. Poor all around.

I’m not going to go into detail and many of you know about Chuck E. Cheese and the persona it has, so I will just say that this Tacoma Mall location is trying but you can’t really do too much when you cater to young children and your attempt is to entertain them in large masses and cash out on the vulnerabilities of parents and guardians that just to let there kids run rampantly… Larger facility than most, employees are always way young and not much for the customer service aspect. If you have no other options for a birthday party then you can make it work here.

Disappointing… Came here maybe 4 years ago and you could get pitchers of beer and the whole second floor had games everywhere. Now the second floor is blocked off with nothing up there. Prime realistate being wasted. Went there for a birthday, the pizza took over 45 – 60 minutes and I had to go to the counter to get it because Chuck E. Cheese employees were having trouble locating my table. NOONEWASWALKINGAROUND!!! The pizza was not good. It was cold and tasted like a frozen pizza. Pitchers of beer is no longer aloud, which I can understand… But must you really take about 10 minutes to write all my information down in an out dated book?! A lot of the games were either out of tickets or out of order, so there were limited games that all the kids had to choose from. Over all, I would go back because it was one of the cleaner Chuck E. Cheese’s I have been too and the kids and myself had a good time.

What a waste of space! The only 2 story Chuck E Cheese in WA state and the whole upper floor is empty… go figure. When we ordered our pizza it took 45 minutes until we heard them announce on the intercom that they were having problems finding us. Bull. I was sitting at the table the whole time and no one walked by with a pizza. I enjoyed the fact they had Guitar Hero… something I actually wanted to play. When it comes to Chuck E Cheese, not bad.

If you’re looking for gourmet pizza, don’t come here. The kids don’t really care for the pizza and the focus and the number one customers here are the kids. Thank goodness they took out that ball pit that smelled like piss, barf, and socks. Whew! The games… hmmm… wish there was more of it. The prizes for the tickets here suck. Their best sellers are probably the candy. The bathroom is ALWAYS dirty. I understand that there are a lot of kids here and it might be hard to maintain, but at least show that you try. I always would rather hold it for another two hours when I’m here. If I get a bladder infection, the sanitation of their bathrooms is to blame. Seriously. The service… I guess it depends on the people… they sort of suck. I know that a lot of the employees are in high school, but management should probably try to enforce the rule that their friends can’t come to visit them at work. I notice a lot of the girls have their friends hanging out and their focus is on their friends, not the customers. The friends weren’t customers either… they stood around with free sodas(yes… I saw you give them those cups). The salad bar can also be better maintained and replenished without me(and others) having to ask. Still, I’d come back here because my nieces and nephews always always have a blast and seeing their smiles is worth the overpriced«prizes» they go home with.
