One month ago I switched to Directv. They were having a promotional program. I sighed up for the Primer package at $ 39.99, but in a weeks time I realized that there were just to many channels that I would never watch. I called Directv and spoke to one of their agents and told him that I didn’t need or want so many unusable channels. I requested that I go to the least package for $ 19;99 that was on the brochure that I had originally used when I first signed up. The man listened to me and told me he could give me that package, but at no time did he tell me that I could only use the offer on what I first signed up for. When I received my first bill I saw that I was being charged $ 39.99 for the smaller package. I called to find out what that charge was for and the person there told me the offer was only on the very first thing I signed up for, even though it had only been a week since I signed up. She told me that was policy and couldn’t and wouldn’t do anything about it. She was very rude to me and said what did I want her to do, I said you know what I want the $ 19.99 price. She smirked(with her voice) and then didn’t say anything. Long and short, Directv, has sketchy and unreliable offers. Don’t take there offers at face value, if you must try them ask every question you can think of. I AMNOWHOOKEDTODIRECTVFOR2YEARS, WOW!

So, I go on their website to find out how to program the universal remote. Yeah, right! Okay, so who designed this website… a person that also makes maps? Ya know, the paper maps you buy in a store! All I want to do it program the TV I just bought to the remote that is for the«genie». I did find an area that said-«do this, do that, blah, blah,» but when I did everything they«said» THREE times, each a different way… it didn’t work. But does it have an area for that? NO! If this doesn’t work… try this! NOPE! NADA! This is the kinda thing that makes a person want to cancel their subscription! Why should something this simple be so difficult?! Oh and how could I forget… when the installer came out… he was«trashing» the OTHER guys… Comcast, Dish, etc… NOTVERYGOOD customer service! I should know, I’ve been in customer service OVER20 years! I should’ve stayed with Comcast and I probably wouldn’t be having these issues. They have a manual that came with their service with TONS of info… stuff I didn’t need to look for on here(internet).
