Sketchy. This is where tweakers seem to congregate… People will hang around the parking lot and entrance trying to scam you for money or a ride. It’s not hard to spot people smoking meth and/or living in their car

I love Fred Meyer. It’s one of the things I missed most about living on the East Coast. But we seriously need to talk about those beeping camera that are located by high-priced merchandise. The high-pitched chirping may deter theft, but it also deters me. I was ready to buy an electric toothbrush from you, but the beeping while I was trying to compare two models drove me totally nuts. I bought a toothbrush later that day at Best Buy, where I was free to compare brands and models, beep-free. I have never been technically diagnosed as being on the Autistic spectrum, but it would not surprise me if this is a complaint that many others share. It can still beep, I understand that that is part of the design but less frequently would help.

My son loves when I shop at Fred Meyer because he gets to enjoy the free PLAYLAND and hang out with his friend Channon. Decent prices and I’ve had good expire once with customer service

The first time I came here was for a money order and they were out, plus the bank was closed. It was a saturday. The second time I came here it was also a saturday and we got there on time and the bank had closed earlier than the time posted. We got there at 1PM and it says it’s open until 2PM. Also the parking here is atrocious! It’s confusing because there aren’t enough signs, but also no one pays attentions to the ones they have or the arrows painted on the ground. It’s hard to tell who has right of way because of how bad the layout is. I won’t be back here unless it’s absolutely nessisary. I will drive out of my way to a farther chase bank then ever go to the one at this horrible place.

I have talked smack about Fred Meyer for a long time, probably because I was turned down for a job from them about 15 years ago. However I have been converted. I decided to look at their coupons in the ad instead of just throwing them away and I thought, hmm, that’s a pretty good price for butter and I do need butter. So I grabbed my envelope of coupons and went coupon shopping at FM for the first time ever. WOW I am converted. I spent way way less on groceries in comparison to Haggen or Safeway. I will not use Winco anymore because I feel like I am going to get caught in the middle of a gang fight every time I go there, and Walmart is just insane all the time. Even though FM was busy, it was a Sunday, they had almost every register open. I went again a week later on a Monday and it wasn’t busy at all. I thought the cashier was friendly. My only complaints are they don’t really have all the different brands of things but their store brand is pretty good, and their parking lot is pretty awful, unless you park way over on the 72nd street side. I haven’t read all the reviews other people have left so I really don’t know why they are getting bad reviews. I like it.

This should be a warning. If you guys want a death wish, this is the place where you need to go. This is the place that when you park, you would need to lock your doors. On top of that, the people works here are okay the most. We have asked a sales guy but he took his time before talking to us. It was ridiculously stupid to watch that in front of me. Not to mention that the store is small and dirty. It would take me a lot of balls to comeback to this establishment in Tacoma ever.

Went today to buy some groceries, and the older lady cashier rang my items and just slammed my items in the cart, threw the receipt at me and dropped my change all over the place.

I enjoy coming here due to the fact that it’s close to my house and the store carries almost everything. It’s classier than a Wal-Mart for instance and less busy. Their store brand food products are also good. Their deli department can make you a great, fresh sandwich for $ 4.99. The only downfall is that their parking lot can get pretty full at times.

I wanted to purchase a LEGO set, so I did a search online to see which stores carried the set. I saw that Fred Meyer had a sale on that particular set, so I called my local store(Port Orchard) to see if they had any in stock. I was informed that they had just sold their last one, but the associate checked other stores and saw that University Place had a few and this store had a couple. I called the Tacoma 19th Street Fred Meyer, first, as it was closer to me, but they were out. Then, I called University Place, the next closest, and they were also out. Finally, I called this store, and they were out, too. At that point, the associate asked for my name and number and said she would call some other stores and get back to me by the next morning. Based on what shipping is like, so close to Christmas, I decided to check other retailers and do a price match. Within an hour, I had found one at a different store close by. By the time I got to my car to head to that store, the associate called me back and explained that she had found one in Federal Way, and she had arranged for a manager to go pick it up and drive it to their store that evening. I even told her I was willing to go to Federal Way, but she insisted. I was absolutely floored. Considering how busy stores are during this time of the year, the fact that they cared enough to go through all that trouble for me completely made my holiday. I’ve always had positive experiences with Fred Meyer stores, but this store is obviously going above and beyond the norm. Everyone involved in this transaction, including the supervisor and cashier working when I came to pick up my purchase, was absolutely amazing!

My experience at Fred Meyer was adequate and the store met my shopping needs; however, it definitely could have been better. The parking lot surrounding the store is large; however, I had a hard time figuring out the best place to put my vehicle. The signage of the grocery store is not located above the entrance. The entrance was obscure and unlike that of a typical store. I might have missed them but I did not see shopping baskets stacked near the carts when I entered the store. I stacked my items in my arms until I finally found a basket at a self-check-out station. Along a similar vein, nobody spoke to me while I wandered around the store until I got to the cashier. I’m used to someone greeting me or offering some assistance. Although Fred Meyer carried a wide variety of items spanning clothing, books, alcohol, produce, and other foods, it was my opinion that they didn’t have many choices for particulars. For example, I’m used to having a wide selection of cream cheeses including choices for fat-content, flavor, and brand. Fred Meyer had fewer choices than other stores. I was pleased when the cashier made friendly banter with me while scanning my items. She offered me their rewards card that can also be used at Kroger stores. The rewards card is good for tracking purchases and collecting points. I was also pleased with the price of my purchases. I got almond/coconut milk, chicken tenders, rice, matcha tea, frozen beans, frozen broccoli, french fries, cream cheese, buns, and black bean burgers for about $ 26.

I usually go here to use Western Union. The customer service center has the rudest and grumpies reps helping people. I witnessed the lady at the counter talk so rudely to an elderly man, and then wanted to have an attitude when I needed to pick money up. They need to change their reps in this department. The 2 stars is for the lady who was very helpful during my shopping duration.

Do not use customer service. It’s worse than the post office. They had three people behind the counter helping one person and a very long line of people standing and waiting.

Awful management whom make fun of people with disabilities. This store has nothing better than to do but to insult those who apply for jobs that do not fit there perfect store.

A ways out in the sticks however they had just what I needed! Did you know that Fred Meyers is the only grocery in town that sells Jelly Belly beans in bulk? This is true. I needed them for a project at work and one store called the other to be sure someone had the kiosk… Found it! Nothing like WALLMART… the cashiers are friendly and waiting at the ends of the lane to welcome you up to the register. Pleasant for sure!

I had the best experience at the Photo Center last week. Middle of the day, walked in needing some prints and the lady was so helpful to do them right on the spot for me. They are quick and friendly and did a great job.

Yes, I like it here. The cashiers are great because they are usually friendly and funny and seem to be a «family». They have worked here for what seems like forever(I moved to Seattle and back and still remember their faces). It is always clean and well staffed but what I like the most is that they have a nice bulk, organic fruit/veggies, vegan, vegetarian and gluten free sections! Who would’ve thunk it? I spend about half of what I normally would in Seattle, plus they have home/garden/yada yada sections to buy whatever else you need.

WOMENBEWARE, I’m so upset, was just robbed by someone ln Fred Meyer’s, was told by security this happens all the time. Don’t bring in a purse, they’ll steal it, put your id, cards and cash in your pocket. HEYFREDDIE, how about protect your customers, get some more securety, or clean up your store so your isles are not so clutter you can’t get a shopping cart in some areas, like the clothing. This is an ideal setting for your common criminal who is just waiting for you to turn you head. You need to protect your shoppers, it’s a shame you can’t even go into a grocery store and be safe. You’ve lost me as a customer forever, and not just at this location, all Fred Myers!

My go to grocery store. Overall prices are better than some of the nearby stores and the quality of produce is usually pretty great. It really is a one-stop shopping. I can pick up just about anything that I need and I love that they rarely change the layout. I can go directly to what I need and get in and out quickly. Employees aren’t the friendliest, except for one of the cart runner guys who’s always there and smily, asking how you are and how your day is going. Nice to see that. The pharmacy here is always so grouchy. I get it, I’m sure they have to deal with some annoying people. I use it because it’s convenient for me, but man they are grumps.

Convenient. One stop shopping! And I love the natural foods section! I love how it’s all in one area. I don’t have to go on a scavenger hunt looking for a few items that I need(and love). I also love that most Fred Meyers have the same layout. And their self-checkout is the bomb dot com(esp. at this location). I like to be in and out.

I highly support Fred Meyer’s especially this location as they are close my home. The prices are fine as far as I’m concerned, and sometimes quality is way better than quantity:) I tend to always have GREAT service, except for maybe the self-service clerk, lol’… but I would hate that job too because I swear those machines act up ALL at the same time, then everyone is breathing down the clerks back!!! I hate to shop around for groceries and other such things and Freddie’s always has what we need. The rewards program they have is a plus too and don’t forget the 10 cents off gas, I bank on that once a week!
