Still a great, trustworthy computer store! I can’t say enough about the above and beyond service I get every time I step through the door or call them with a question. My kids have hardcore gaming computers that I never would have afforded to build piece by piece through another store. I have NEVER gotten bad advice or felt like I was being up sold in any way. It is rare to do business with any store for 5+ years and have absolutely nothing negative to say. Green PC rocks!

Wish I would have gone here first. I spent $ 100 elsewhere for them to fry my failing hard drive and couldn’t get any data off it. Green PC took the computer in and spent the time to get my data back!!! I found everyone I dealt with in person or on the phone helpful and polite.

I took my older hp pavilion in and they replaced the screen in about an hour in ¹⁄₃ of the price that I was quoted from at least three other places.

I came here after having a terrible time with my first build. I figured it was the Mobo and the CPU but couldn’t test it. The guy that helped me was super friendly and helpful. I dropped my computer off right before they closed and he called me that evening saying it was most likely the mobo but would finish checking it all and call back. I got a call the next morning letting me know it was the mobo and cpu (old one my friend gave me). I will be coming back for any computer needs.

Stopped in today for the first time. Place is a little out of the way. Walked in and was pointed right to what I was looking for. One of the employees approached me and answered my questions. Was very willing to start up the systems for me to see. Prices are very reasonable. Overall was impressed with their different computers and plan to stop in more often! The museum was a neat little trip down memory lane!

Went in to the store today with my boss the owner/​operator of a boat building business just down the street from them. We are a start up company and was looking for a computer at a reasonable price for what we need to do for our business.
I can’t remember the guys name that helped us, but when we mentioned a piece of software that is not very well known he seemed to know of it right off and printed off a sheet or two of specs so we could compare them to the computers they had on sale.
Not only did we get a great computer at a great price, I found some items for myself while in there!
The best part though was the Computer Museum!!! They have old Commodore 128’s and Apple IIgs’ — it was a walk through memory lane, 5inch disk drives, really old oscilloscopes — there was even an old TV set! And the best of all? An old IBM green screen computer! I wanted to take the whole thing home with me.
Great place, great service, great prices.

My computer just kept having one problem after another; slow boot time, freezing up, dropping Internet connection, shutting down in the middle of the night. I usually fix my own computers, but his one had me stumped.
Took my computer into to Green PC. They told me they would do diagnostic and let me know the next day. The following day I get a call and the technician says the problem is with the hard drive. I have them replace the 1T hard drive with a new one and ask them to leave the old hard drive connected, so I can retrieve information and have them reinstall the windows operating system.
The following day I get a call telling me my computer is ready to pick up. I was really surprised that the cost for all of this was only $ 123.00 plus tax. My PC is working fine now and I have been able to retrieve a lot of information that is not normally backed up.
I am very happy with this service. Do yourself a favor and use this PC repair service. You will be happy you did.

Had my computer heading towards the white light. Would not even start to boot and no error code even. I bought it from Green PC last year so called them. Turned out to be fried RAM which was like $ 20 to replace or $ 40 to bump up. Was not gharged for diagnostic or labor and am back online in an hr.
I’ve been to several computer shops that would try to upgrade you. These guys seem to get what customer service is and value repeat customers

These guys just keep on keeping on with terrific fast friendly knowledgeable service. Their consistency is spot on.
I recently had them do an «emergency please just make it limp along» service on a dying Quad-​Core computer in my office. I just needed it to be restored enough to do a full backup and perform «last rites» on it before sending it to recycling.
Now given that premise, MOST places would have skimped — do the least possible for the most money and all that. Not Green PC — I had numerous hard drives inside that were never properly installed (by me!) — mostly lying loose. Even though I didn’t ask them to do it, they cleaned all that up — mounted all the drives PROPERLY — and in this case, that wasn’t easy… the case was one of those funky ones that has lots of places to put drives but none of them are all that easy to get to.
On top of all that, they dressed all the cables neatly and fully dusted the interior — and even though I turned down some other services offered, that was no problem and didn’t affect the quality work otherwise.
Total cost: under $ 70 and I was fully able to not only «limp along» with this old computer for many more weeks while backing up all the 3TB worth of drives, but it was actually a stable and fully usable machine until the very end, which it was not when I brought it to them.
Green PC is the best computer «fix-​it» place in Tacoma IMO. No, I’m not in any way connected other than being a very happy customer.

I was referred to this company by a friend because he said they are cheap and they did a good job on his computer repair. What I found is what I already knew… you get what you pay for. The service was horrible, one guy in particular has bad customer service skills and a smart mouth.
I took in a all in one pc to be diagnosed. I received a call Monday afternoon and when I called back I was told that they could fix it by restoring my operating system. He didn’t explain my files would all be lost, had I not known to ask they would have just deleted everything on my computer. When I asked about it he said the price varied and he would see how much I had on there and call me back to let me know the price before they did anything. I didn’t get a call so a couple hours later I called back to find out they had already did it, and when I asked what happened to the call back he said he didn’t know what to tell me and they already did it. Then they lost the mouse to my computer as well and the guy who checked me in lied and said he gave me the bag back and that he told me he couldn’t take it because it might get lost. We never had a discussion about the mouse other than me saying all the cords were in the bag I left on the counter. Again, I was told oh well they didn’t know what to tell me. I would pay more money for a business that provides better service any day. You don’t have to do anything extra but you do need to have some type of customer service skills which are completely lacking at this location. I’d never refer anyone or go back.

Came in here looking for a reliable computer that I would be able to use for both gaming and work. I was greeted by Rob when I walked into the store. I described what I was looking for and he mentioned the option to build a computer. He even printed me a list of parts and broke down what each part does. He was very informative with every single question I had about computers.
I came back to the store a second time that day and was greeted by Julian when he noticed me looking at the laptops. I described the same thing I did to Rob. He asked me which game I would plan on playing and he even opened up the computer to see what specs the game needed to see if it would run smoothly on the laptop. Their very knowledgeable and helpful! Once I save a little bit more money I’m definitely heading back to have them build my epic gaming computer!

I bought a refurbished computer from them yesterday, it cost me 600 dollars and it was the second most powerful refurbished they were offering, dual core processor and 8 GB of RAM. I booted it up at home and it has been the slowest, buggiest computer I have ever worked on. Absolutely terrible, websites crash almost immediately, the programs freeze, and the whole system is very slow. I don’t know if this is common practice for these guys, but I definitely would not recommend them.

I asked these guys to do a cpu swap for me and they did it within the hour, i came in today to get a motherboard and full case swap and the only reason why they couldnt do it today was because i came in an hour before the store closed. Not only that, the labor costs they charge is very reasonable if not the cheapest ive come across and ive been building and breaking down computers since early 2000.
on that note, another local computer store i will keep nameless that was rated 5 stars on Unilocal tried to charge me almost 100 for the same swap these guys did under 50.
Don’t listen to that Jim B guy, the staff is very friendly, honestly its a computer store not a radio shack. If you walk into a taco bell asking for a hamburger you’re going to get looked at funny. They probably thought they were being pranked or something, there are definitely some weirdos in tacoma.
The inventory could probably be better, but for an upcoming computer store that is to be expected. If you have service needs (relating to computers), and dont want to get ripped off, and you need it done quickly, check these guys out, i promise you wont be sorry
