This location has been unpredictable for starting hours. I have showed up at opening only to wait. I am letting go of my membership, sumner closed down another place I used. On top of that I have waited while a staff that is smoking in the back came forward carrying smoke smell. Movin on.

First time here I was really impressed, Rooms are very clean and everything is well put together. The young lady at the counter was very helpful and walked me through the process of a Cocktail Tan and before I even got there she was very helpful on the phone And there’s a Menchies right next to this location so I went there to cool down afterwards and made a good day even better. Thank you LA Tan I will be back here regularly I give you 5 hearts

Use to go here but went to Bahama Bronze cause it was closer to where I moved to but they closed down so I came back here. All new staff who are friendly and don’t push you to buy products. They only ask you one time and then don’t bring it up again unless there is a special going on.

One star is for being the closest tanning salon and the decent rooms/beds. The other is for reasonable rates and friendly staff. I cannot come to give them any more stars because of how inconsistent their hours are. More often than not they end up closing early or being closed for the day without warning. Not sure why this occurs, but it’s upsetting. I’ve learned now to call ahead just to make sure they are open before I head over there because it’s not a short jaunt. If this establishment were reliable in their operating hours, I’d be very content.

This is LA Tan. Unilocal really needs to update their pages. I was satisfied with this salon until their new hire. She doesn’t clean the beds properly, she helps people behind me in line before she will go clean the bed I am waiting for, and pitches sales to them while I am standing there waiting when I shouldn’t have been waiting in the first place. It’s good customer service to take the ~minute to clean the bed for the person who was first in line before you get other people in to their beds. I also come in like everyday and she is always there yet she can’t remember my name or which beds I use. She tries to sell me stuff everytime even though I have explicitly asked the salon to stop trying to sell me stuff. I spend like 100 – 200 $ a month in there, I don’t know why they find it so hard to stop pushing sales on me. I actually took a spray bottle and towel and cleaned my own bed yesterday because I was so disgusted with it. Changing salons. I have e-mailed via the comment form on the LA Tan website 2 weeks ago and still no response. They claim they want to hear our suggestions but then blatantly ignore them. TERRIBLEEXPERIENCE. I’m heading to Bronzage Tanning.

I recently started tanning here(it’s LA tan now) and have had a good experience until the last two weeks…1– it’s not being cleaned the same in room number 3 there has been a bandaid behind the bed for a week!!! It’s disgusting if they r not cleaning the floors in over a week r the beds I lay in cleaned?!? 2– the recent new hires are very unprofessional, tonight as I stood in line to be helped the girl working was busy flirting with who I assume is her boyfriend instead of helping the lady in front of her, infact the girl behind me LEFT because of it. There is a time and a place to have a spray bottle flirting session… At work with clients present is not the place… I’m now considering canceling my monthly membership and going to their competition

It’s LA Tan now, not pink coconut– but the beds are the same as before, and the staff are still a good balance between informed about the products enough to help you, but not pushing for you to spend money you don’t want to spend. Their monthly prices are ridiculously good if you have time to go frequently, especially considering the array of different levels of beds they have. My experience was to go in and tell them, for my vacation in X number of weeks, I don’t want to be Washington white, but I don’t want to look like I’ve been tanning– they gave great advice and the color I got was perfect. I saw a girl come out of spray tanning the other day too and she looked great– a little healthy color but nothing even remotely unnatural looking.

I have moved around the country and no where has compared to the amazing tanning booths/service/products featured at Pink Coconut. I get the primo services out here in DC(my current location) but I truly miss with all of my heart of hearts this tanning salon/branch. BEDSELECTION: They offer a wide variety of tanning beds to chose from. For me, I prefer the high intensity beds vs the(in my opinion) cheap o 20 minutes. Take in the variety of the high intensity beds and you have yourself a deep dark luscious tan, something that I have not yet been able to duplicate either in Chicago or DC. Pink Coconut nails it on the head. Because you can go to any branch salon, you can alternate. What some salons don’t have, another might have. I would recommend trying the«magic» bed(it talks to you!) about 2 – 3 times a month to truly deepen your tan. PRICE: Okay, it’s cheap. I mean seriously, you can pay $ 20 a month for some crappy bed featured in the back of some nail salon but you’re chewing away money for your time. You have to go twice as often and lay in the beds for twice as long. Not worth it. CUSTOMERSERVICE: Great. Knowledgeable. Not pushy. You really don’t need $ 150 lotion, FYI so just stick with a medium priced lotion. Don’t forget nail covers to avoid your nails turning yellow. Overall, compared to any salon in the area(I’ve tried them all from Aqua tanning to Desert Sun [which is a horrific value btw]) this chain is the place to go. No appointment necessary which truly speeds up the process! Get the premium package — DEFINITELYWORTHIT!

Alright, I admit it. I tan. Fluorescent beach, fake n’ bake, whatever you want to call it, I am guilty. Not because I am high maintenance — shallow logic and vanity don’t fuel my trips to the tanning beds. No, the Pacific Northwest induced vitamin D deficiency does it! The golden glow that accompanies the vitamin D boost is just an added bonus… I choose to get my bronze on(and my recommended dosage) at Pink Coconut for a few reasons. 1. Its clean. Awesome, I don’t have to worry about lying in a pool of stranger sweat. The beds are disinfected and towels are replaced after each tanning session. And it always smells fresh instead of that weird burnt skin aroma that seems to plague other salons. 2. No appointments. I can walk in, hop in a bed and be on my merry way without the hassle of making arrangements and showing up on schedule. So convenient. 3. Friendly staff. Thank God, no snooty jerks or judgmental attitudes! Everyone is really laid back, down-to-earth, and welcoming. 4. Privacy. Individual rooms with locks and floor-to-ceiling walls make me feel more comfortable about lying nude in a semi-public area. No stalls or curtains; actual rooms with plenty of space. I do have my complaints, though. The prices are a bit steep in comparison to other salons in the area for individually purchased sessions. But they do offer a variety of package deals that dramatically decrease the cost of tanning here. The clientele appears to consist of more tanorexics than not. Unless you are an Oompa Loompa, you have no business sporting orange skin, ever. Can’t the employees intervene with the tanning addicts? I think the staff should have bartender-like privileges, with the ability to cut people off when they’ve had too much UV and those who have gotten completely out of control will be 86’ed.
